Similar to another person below on this review Ronalee is absolutely terrible. I was referred to her by a friend and will never come back her. She was rude, not personable and did NOT help me with my taxes at all. Because of her I ended up owing more than I should have. When I asked her why this was missed she said and I quote " I emailed you asking what number you want me to put down for the business". I obviously know very little about taxes and paid for her service. Then when I responded she blamed it on me and told me best luck on my business endeavors. This is an update to my review of Ronalee Williamson at the Kington Group. First, I'M STILL VERY HAPPY WITH HER SERVICE AND PROFESSIONALISM. And wow, does she have patience! Mid-2021 my spouse and I separated and come tax-time-2022 for 2021, I dreaded having to file Married Filing Separately. I didn't receive all my 1099s by the end of January so I sent her a note about it. Then, I got an update from my financial advisor's company saying that the final update wasn't coming out until after MARCH 15th! I sent another note to Ronalee as a head's up and her reply was "Thanks, I appreciate that". Then several roadblocks got in my way and I simply wasn't able to get things done until early April. No matter, Ronalee to the rescue with plenty of patient reassurance that it wouldn't be a problem. "No hurry" she said. Once I was able to settle down and email everything to her, she got it done in just a day or two. I simply can't say enough about her patient personal attention and timely wrap-up to make my challenging circumstances seem manageable. She makes this stuff seem just "normal". I'm sure she's seen it all in her many years of experience. That's what PROs do I guess, but that doesn't mean I take her for granted. If yelp offered a 10-star rating scale, I'd give her 20! Ron did the tax return for my deceased mom in 2021. It was done incorrectly per the IRS. I have called numerous times & I have spoken to Ron about this issue and he tells me to do something different and to send w/ priority mail. Which I do. Only to find out that the forms are incorrect. I consulted my personal tax accountant and he confirmed Ron was incorrect. I mistakenly call the office & ask for help & all they say is once filed they can no longer help me..... I stupidly paid them for their incompetence. Ron has to put the phone down ask someone in the office if my question is too complicated for him to answer. I did not want to send in a negative review but this is ridiculous! 2+ years later and this is still not complete. I am sorry that my mother trusted him for 30 years to do her taxes! read more

Just had our Tax appointment with Darren. He has been doing our taxes for 10+ years ever since a co-worker referred us. As we were leaving my wife had said she was glad and thankful for that referral. She also said that Darren does a great job and does make the appointment enjoyable. I Have been using The Kington Group for over 25 years. Ron Kington did my taxes in the beginning and currently his daughter, Ronalee Willimson, has been doing my taxes for over 15 years. Over the years, I have always been impressed with the service and the professionalism of their business. Let me be perfectly clear and address the obvious. There are some negative reviews here that were shocking for me to read, because I have had the opposite experience for over 15 years with Ronalee. I have never found myself questioning her ability or her integrity. If I did, I would have found someone else years ago. Specifically, Ronalee has been very knowledgeable and accurate with my tax returns that are not simple. My wife and I have multiple investment accounts, retirement accounts, houses, and vacation homes. She has always prepared my tax returns accurately and sent in my return in a timely manner. This year Ronalee went above and beyond regarding her service. Let me explain: Last year (2020) was bad and stressful for everyone, including me. I completely procrastinated my 2020 tax return, which was due to be filed on 5/15/21 this year due to the pandemic. I normally do not like to file for extensions, so I called The Kington Group on 5/11/21 to see if I could get an appointment, but I was pessimistic and I did not think I would be able to get an appointment because I put to off too long. Ronalee was able to modify her busy schedule and accommodate procrastinators, like me, who put it off. She fit me in on 5/14/21, with one day to spare. I was able to scan and email her my tax documents and after numerous phone calls that went into the night, she went above and beyond and was able to submit my 2020 tax return on time, just to make me feel better. She did not have to do this for me and it would have been a lot easier for her to just tell me to file for an extension and not to worry about it. But she knew me, she knew my personality, and she knew it would bother me (even though it was MY fault for putting it off), to file for the tax extension. She did me wright and there are other similar stories I could tell you, but it is too much to write. Bottom line is that I HIGHLY recommend The Kington Group and specifically Ronalee to anyone looking to have a professional file their tax returns in an accurate, timely, and efficient manner. I've received top dollar back every year I've been with him and he charges an extremely fair price for all the work he does to get you the most money back possible! The turnaround time is fantastic and the numbers are always accurate (I double check every line item because I'm a control freak like that). Ronalee is also great at making last minute adjustments whenever we forget to include an extra write off expense. Her knowledge of allowable write offs and credits is up to date.
