Awful experience for my wedding. I got married in the spring of 2022. You know an experience is bad…read morewhen you wake up in the middle of the night, 6 months later, and become angry all over again. 1. The first time I met the manager he was so outwardly rude to my mother. We had come up with a list of questions to ask him and he ignored my mother as she read them. I suggested my mother give the list to my fiancé to read because the manager was so sexist that he would only listen to a man. Not only did my mother and I notice it, my father in law, fiancé, mother in law, and father noticed it too. It was humiliating. Yet we signed the contract because Pakistani men are known for this kind of disrespect (even when my mother was the one paying). 2. The manager promised us a projector. He denied saying that and so we rented it -- it was only VGA input and it wasn't even set up. Wtf. 3. He agreed he would set up my stage but did not do it on the wedding day. 4. He loomed over the women's side of the hall as we were arriving..... why is he on the women's side???!!! 5. He walked in on me while I was taking pics with my husband in the bride/groom room!!! No knocks!!!! And I wasn't wearing hijab!!!!!!!! He was not embarrassed. Ridiculous piece of shit. 6. We asked for the food to be mild because I can't eat spicy food. And the food was so horrendously spicy - more than the sample, that I couldn't even eat anything at my own damn wedding. 7. The sound system is HORRIBLE. it hasn't been updated in close to 10 years. No one could hear any of the speakers. I felt poorly for my father in law who was speaking directly to me and I couldn't hear anything. 8. OMG THÉ FOOD WAS SO FREAKING ABSOLUTELY LATE. They served the appetizers with dinner!!!! I have narcolepsy and chronic pain so to stay awake longer, and to sync the 1 he program with the arrival of food, I had to walk down the aisle with an energy drink (no joke! My pictures show how angry I was). 9. THE HALL SMELT LIKE CRAP. My brothers went to set it up and told me how awful it was. Like the sewage system broke. In fact, I heard the men's washrooms upstairs were unusable because the water smelled so bad. 10. He charged us EXTRA for a table when THEY FORGOT THE BRIDE'S TABLE. WHERE WAS I SUPPOSED TO EAT YOU STUPID SHIT. 11. He did not set up the gifts tables like we asked. 12. While family pictures were taking place the perverted manager sat in the corner, on a table reserved for my guests, with the angriest face I've ever seen. First of all, he was not invited to my wedding so why was he there and secondly, why is he staring at us? Didn't he get enough to look at when he was watching the women and when he came in on me without hijab? Why does he keep wanting to watch me??? 13. HE CHARGED US EXTRA BECAUSE HE FELT LIKE HE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR US AND WE CAUSED HIM GRIEF LMAOOOO. My parents just gave him the money because he was AT MY WEDDING begging for more. 14. After the event, I asked my brother to call him and get an explanation. The manager blocked my brother after he called. Absolute dick. The only reason I didn't write this review until now was to protect him as a Muslim but if he doesn't respect me as a Muslim woman then I do not want to protect him either. The two stars is because the hall has a divider if you want segregated events, my friends told me the food was good, they have OK facilities, it is accessible, liked the napkin colours, the female servers were nice, and they allowed us to use the furniture from either halls. You can tell I am objective in my review because I am also writing the positive so take it from me, do not do business with this manager.

Congratulations to Lory and Brian! I wish you a lifetime of happiness and prosperity!…read more I had the pleasure of attending a wedding at Royal Venetian Mansion in Aurora. It was a beautiful and very spacious venue that also hosted the ceremony on their rooftop patio. Following the ceremony, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres were provided by the venue, along with desserts, and late night stations with a whole suckling pig, sliders, fries, and poutine. Everything was delicious! The banquet hall was huge and spacious, with intimate lighting, and an enormous dance floor. The table décor was very classy and beautiful. The house sound system, however, left a lot to be desired. The tonal balance and echoes made the speeches sound muddled. The sound quality improved later on when DJ Jonathan Shaw, aka Juiceman, kept the dance floor packed for the rest of the evening. The main dinner, a ten course Chinese banquet meal, was provided by Grand Catering. As usual, this type of banquet included Roasted Suckling Pig and Jellyfish, Crab Claws, Seafood and Broccoli, Seafood and Fish Maw Soup, Mushrooms with Chinese Greens, Steamed Fish, Fried Chicken with Fried Rice, Noodles, and Lobster. Special dishes were provided for guests with allergies. This was a very good meal with excellent service!

I have very mixed feelings about my experience here for my brother's wedding…read more The venue itself is magnificent. Let's get that out of the way. If this was a review on just the venue, I would give it 5 stars. Absolutely gorgeous interior, from the reception rooms to the washrooms to the upper level to the outside shrubbery. The food is where I think the place could use major improvement. Let's start off with cocktail hour. Some of the hors d'oeuvres did not come out hot but rather cold which was slightly disappointing. The arancini was fantastic and the chicken satay skewers were juicy. I feel like the servers could've come out more frequently with trays of food. It did seem like a lot of ppl had to scout and hunt down servers for food during cocktail hour. Drinks-wise, the bartender was great. Funny banter, smile on his face and super talented at making drinks. Moving on to dinner, here's where the crux of my feelings lie. My bro has basically let it slide and he's not one to say anything after the fact, but he hates cucumber and when he was choosing a salad for his wedding he had chosen the non-cucumber salad. Imagine his surprise when, for his reception, the venue messed up and prepared cucumber salad for him and all the guests. I told him to speak to a manager but he was apathetic and refused to do it so I will speak up on behalf of him. No partial refund or apology was ever offered to him. They just took his money and let it fly. The pasta dish was the best dish of the night. The pasta was al dente and the sauce was nice and rich. The main course was frankly a disaster. Everything was way overcooked. The chicken breast was extremely dry and sandpaper-like. The salmon had zero moisture in it and the loaded baked potato wasn't very loaded with cheese, bacon or chives (it looked like they had scooped out the potato and just mashed it up further and then rescooped it back into the potato skin). This was quite possibly the worst main course entrée I've ever consumed at a wedding. Dessert was mango sorbet and it was quite nice. The mango flavour was very strong. There was also a waffle bar at the end of the night which was the highlight for me. Fresh waffles with ice cream. Who knew the dessert would be the best? I think if this venue tightens up their food offering they would be excellent, however, as it stands, the food was a letdown in my opinion, salvaged only by the fresh waffles at the end of the night. One bonus that I do think deserves mentioning is that there is very good ventilation running through the mansion. I never felt like I was going to be consumed by heatstroke or sweat.

A few months ago, Yelp GTA (that's me) hosted a fun-filled event that took guests back in time to the 80s. But the event is not the focus of the review, the focus is the venue. Now as I mentioned you might not know it's here as it's located in a sort of hidden portion of the Schwartz-Reisman Centre. But now as you read this review, know that the juice (this venue) is totally and completely worth the squeeze (the search). The doors from the main center open up to wide hall, large enough to host an event if so required, lined with doors leading to multiple event spaces, washrooms and access to the outside garden/terrace area. The first room on the left is called the brides suite which is more of a small meeting space, following this you have 2 similar sized rooms for about 100 people, and then the piece de la resistance the grand ballroom space which can hold approximately 300. If you have a larger than normal function, a tracked door can be removed between every room (save for the brides suite) and 3 rooms become one massive L-shaped hall. We utilized the entire space for out event and it really made for an impressive venue. Other perks with this venue, coat check, a totally secure building, and free underground parking (when your event is in the middle of the winter). The one drawback for people not practicing the Jewish faith is that the venue is 100% Kosher compliant, and because of that what you bring in is limited and restricted. With that said they have a full (actually 2) kitchen(s) that produce amazing, delicious food that you wouldn't know was kosher or otherwise. For a wedding, business summit or conference, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, or other special occasion, this is THE newest and most elegant hall in York Region. Don't believe me? Come check it out for yourself - it WILL blow your mind!

I was fortunate to attend a Yelp Event here. The underground parking lot is really spacious which I prefer than parking at the ground level outdoor lot. The main event room is large enough for a stage setup or as a wedding venue. The staff working here is professional and pleasant. Leo & Sala Goldhar also has it's own catering facilities as they provided most of the food and non alcoholic beverage for the event. Chocolate fountain was impressive! The venue was very beautiful with manicured lawns, a castle-like building, and a sufficiently large banquet hall for guests and a live band. The hors d'eouvres included spring rolls, phyllo triangles filled with cheese, and coconut shrimp. Since we were here on Star Wars day (May 4th), there were even green Yoda drinks with eyes and lime slices for ears. They definitely played up this theme all day and it was a really nice touch. What was noticeable throughout the evening was how good the food was. Everyone at the table said it was better than previous years at a different golf course. The antipasto, which is usually my least favorite dish, was really good. The beef entree was amazing. It was cooked perfectly medium on the inside with the same color pink throughout. The staff were courteous and accommodating. One person at our table asked for the personal caesar salad without bacon since the shared salad had bacon and we pretty much received another shared salad. Towards the end of the evening, the staff were clearing off tables while the banquet was winding down. But they were a little too quick to clear the tables that they took away someone's photo booth photos before those people came back to the table to claim their photos. Overall it was a really nice evening was excellent food at a stellar venue.
