If you want noisy, overcrowded, small, loud, very very overpriced accommodation that breaks all the time then here's the place for you. Not to mention having to put with certain people that you'd rather not live with. As well as getting woken up at 3am by drunk students screaming, shouting, singing and coming back and the main gate banging god knows how many times a day. Also, there washing machines and dryers in the laundrette always break and all they says is "yea they do that a lot", which isn't really acceptable when you spent £3.50 a go on it and £450 a month on rent. For what? A bedroom, the smallest en-suite you've ever seen and a very small shared kitchen that's not where big enough for 4 individual people and a living room, where the TV didn't work for several weeks after moving in. They also do not supply a kettle or toaster. Curtains that don't fit the window. Cooker with the dials on wrong, toilets that always break. As for the laundrette, yes they may give you a free wash token but that's 40+ minutes of your life you'll never get back. Definitely not staying here next year. I wouldn't advice it, especially with how much they are charging. My mistake was to not get to know Lincoln well enough to be comfortable to move in a house share on my in my first year, this year and not realising how over priced it is. The only good thing is that I am not 6 floors up and the maintenance people are really good. But don't get me started with the people on the reception. Will definitely be learning from my mistake and won't be living in student accommodation like this next year, probably with private rent with friends or other half.

I have lived in Victoria Halls in Leicester for the 2010/2011 University year and i would not…read morerecommend it to anyone. For a start it is built 10 meters from a road that a majority of ambulances in Leicester has to travel down. This means at least 3-4 incredibly loud sirens every hour, often more. The caretakers, all but one, are rude, unreasonable and generally a massive pain. Fine's will start almost immediately for pathetic reasons that the caretakers can decide on the spot. For example my flat mate was playing music out of his laptop, therefore it was definitely quiet. One of the caretakers walked past the front door to our flat, could hear it in the corridor, and the next morning my flatmate received a £15 fine. The internet provider, over which we get no choice, is a complete rip off and i believe in the 2011/2012 uni year it is even more the care. This year i had to pay £150 for 4MB internet connection(Ethernet only). Next year this internet is included in the price however the increased room price means your effectively paying £420 for your internet. (rooms are £10 more a week and it's a 42 week contract). When you exit our building there's a lovely graveyard facing you, and a lot of peoples windows show a wonderful view of a wall. I have friends in almost every other halls of residence here and I believe them all to be better than Victoria in almost every way.

We had no hot water for 3 months, everything kept breaking like the cooker, door handles, drawers in rooms, blinds and smoke alarms, which they failed to sort straight away.
