The Junction is trying. Not too long ago it was the Muddy Farmer--and that name pretty much sums up the ambiance. They're working toward a new look and feel, but haven't quite got there yet.
Food: I've eaten here twice and was disappointed both times. Chewy steak, re-heated frozen fries.
Beer: they've made substantial improvements here, with a good set of taps. There are always a few local or near-local beers worth drinking.
Atmosphere: still pretty scuzzy. On the other hand, you can just choose to embrace that. Friday night karaoke brings out an interesting and very mixed bunch, all looking to have a good time, and--though there is nothing classy about the proceedings--usually succeeding in that goal. read more
