Clinical Pilates is something that's always freaked me out a little bit. I mean, there's all those…read moremachines and contraptions that are reminiscent of some scene from 50 Shades Of Gray and then there's the super flexible people who do it, which in my mind all look like Gwyneth Paltrow... Or so I thought, until my physio insisted that I try it out and specifically that I try it out here at Motion Health. How wrong I was! Okay, so not about the weird machines - they actually do exist - but the small classes I do here are a mixed bag of ages, body shapes and abilities and the instructors are excellent at explaining technique and making everyone feel welcome. After six weeks of doing a class once or twice a week, my posture is better and my overall strength in my back has improved. Not only is Pilates a great body workout, it's an excellent way to focus the mind and switch off from the rest of your life for an hour. I work with Neil and his calming demeanor and personal approach have meant that I look forward to my classes and leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated - physically and mentally.

The team are remarkable, extremely professional, kind and gentle, offering only the best training and advice. I must admit that I was extremely skeptical of Pilates and its ability of "fixing" me... Was pleasantly surprised and happy to admit I was wrong here! Thanks to my amazing friend who referred me! Highly recommended to anyone with any niggling aches and pain or if you just want to tighten, tone or strengthen your little bod up. x

Review for 557 Physiotherapy. Physiotherapy treatment…read more I attended the practice for inflammation of the tendons in my left foot. When I first attended, the physiotherapist was a young man who did a great job, taking care and giving me exercises. Unfortunately, he resigned, and treatment was undertaken by another chap. This new man fitted electrical connections to my feet and passed what felt like electrical pulses through my foot. This treatment was nothing like the first practitioner had done and it had disastrous consequences. It caused the tendons to be traumatised and inflamed which meant I had a major setback. I am once again on strong anti-inflammation tablets so I can walk - not the desired outcome. I felt the second practitioner was in a hurry to get me through his appointment schedule and this was the quickest way to do so. In regard to the Receptionist - well, this is another story that defies belief. Understanding this is a health clinic I was shocked when the receptionist wore her mask at chin level. Now I am sitting there waiting and watching this for about 10 minutes when I decided to ask her why her mask was so low flying and she replied that she didn't like wearing it as it makes her throat tickle. You can imagine my thoughts considering she was so adamant I sign in and wear a mask myself! I am a pensioner who qualified for Medicare care plan assistance which meant I receive a higher rebate from them. There were only a limited number of visits allowed under the scheme and in my case it was five. After the first visit I found myself having to argue I was allowed more subsidised visits than they acknowledged. Of course, after a deep dive, they had to accept I was correct but what an act to get what I was entitled to in the first place. Conclusions: Based on my recent experience, I would give this lot a wide berth. Out of a score of 10, I think I am being generous in giving them a 4.
