I came today because the normal location I go to was closed. The receptionists were really nice and welcoming! But the chiropractor who's tall and bald was very rude and unwelcoming :/ he stared me down when I walked in the building and didn't say anything to me, when I went to the back to get adjusted he was the one seeing me and didn't ask me questions even though this was my first time seeing me, didn't ask if I was having any pain (which I was) and was being so heavy handed that he hurt a part of my spine lol. I audibly said "ow!" and he didn't say anything even though HE was the one that hurt me.... Overall he made the visit kinda bad especially as my first impression so I won't be returning it was kind of a wasted visit considering that I don't feel any better read more

This is the best place! I have been coming here for a couple years now but more recently I was pregnant and my son was 2 days overdue. In desperation I went to this location for an adjustment and Dr. Bystrom gave me a quick and careful adjustment and just three hours later my water broke! Super disappointed as I didn't even get treated. The girl in the front on 10/14/18 at 1:45pm said hello and I said hi Its my first time... she glanced at me and said "there's gonna be a wait" like ok is that how you greet all your first time people. I smiled and looked at the other people in the room and said "obviously" then she frowned and said "it's gonna be like a hour or more" she said, "well 3 first time clients just walked in ahead of you" I was like ok thanks and walked out. Omg wow!! Wow, is all I can say. That's not true, I have much more to say. Dr. Mary Kaiser-Cole was absolutely amazing!! She did things that I can't even describe, that made me feel 110% better. I've always had back problems, and the many chiropractors I've been treated by have helped me a great deal. But she made me feel so amazing like I never even had a back issue. Stopped by this place on my way home from work because my sciatica was acting up while sitting in traffic. I wish I wouldn't have wasted my $29 initial visit at this location. I told the doctor that I had sciatic pain, but instead of working on my lower back, he focused on my shoulders instead. I left with the same pain I came in with. This is the absolute worst joint you could possibly go to. I arrived several times here and each time I left unsatisfied. Today I walked in 5 minutes before their lunch and they turned me away. The lunch doesn't start for 5 fucking minutes! If that's your lunch hour starting 5 minutes early then say so. I also left on my lunch to drive to their location and made it well before they closed to be turned away. The adjustment itself doesn't even take more than 3 minutes each time. Year after year of trying to give this location a try I have been disappointed each time. Sometimes I have no choice but to go to this one since it's the only location in this area. Such a shame. The management really needs to hire a better crew of people here. read more

After working 6 long days for an event and lifting heavy items, I decided that I needed to get a professional back cracking. I decided to give this place a 3.5. I went here as a walk in. Since I was new, I had to fill out all their paperwork. The receptionist was nice but awkward. The doctor I saw (had glasses) was super nice and informative. Id give the actual cracking a 4. I had asked the receptionist if I checked in would I get a $10 off the service or the package; she said the packages which is a little deceiving because it said check in to receive $10 off and service and it didnt mention packages. Great Service for incredible value! To get regular affordable chiropractic adjustments is typically unheard of and this is a game changer. I've been to tons of different chiropractors over the years and the hassle has always been being able to afford multiple sessions. The joint does a great job of taking care of that with their monthly plan. Even if you have to go over the 4 visits per month to work out an issue, each one after that is only 10 bucks! They send out vague coupons and when you come in to redeem them, they hit you with an expiration that was not present in the email. The receptionist at the time of my visit was just adamant about not working with me or hearing me out. I got adjusted once before and it was just alright. I go see dr Gordon at the van nuys clinic once a week for the past two years and he is amazing! Very intuitive and effective with his adjustments. Encourages me that I know beat what my body needs and listens to feedback when I like a certain adjustment or can feel something works. I love that about him it makes me very comfortable! Dr. Jay Bystrom is amazing!!!! I work nearby and had the pleasure of taking to one of their staff who gave us coupons for a first visit ($29). The following week, I was sitting at my desk in complete discomfort. I decided to give them a try. The result was awesome. I left the chiropractor feeling so much better. I bought a 4x visit monthly pass and I followed up. It was awesome. He fixed stuff that has been bothering me for years. I can't say enough. My colleague was looking very rough and complaining about back pain. I went over and got a coupon for him and he tried it, and came back darn near dancing. Our other colleague saw this and went over to them with the same wonderful results. They are very efficient. You get in and out in about 20 min on your first visit but the results are undeniable. If your a busy person you need fast and effective. I don't have the luxury of more than my lunch break to be away from the office. It is so good and so fast, you don't need an appointment. Dr Bystrom and Dr Nguyen have both adjusted myself, my husband and my 3 year old and have done a wonderful job! I have scoliosis so I have to see a chiropractor once a week at least but places other then the joint can be very expensive so most of the time I would go with out and be in terrible pain! Let me start by saying I believe in the healing powers of chiropractic care and thankfully this was not my first experience with it or else I would have probably turned away for life. This following experience is the reason I see so many people say they are scared of chiropractic care which is such a shame because when handled correctly and within a safe space with respect it truly is an amazing practice. I'll start with the one positive note, the desk girl was very kind and bubbly. Moving on beyond the front desk, this is not a comfortable, happy/light feeling type of Chiro office. I have been here twice now. Adjusted by Dr. Bystrom both times. Besides getting a terrible adjustment the second time and being totally out of whack and in pain afterwards, I really dislike how they try and force the monthly plan down your throat in a condescending and very unprofessional kind of way. The first time I came I just brushed it off (it was the first time, I assumed they try to sell everyone on the monthly plan). But the second time was completely unnecessary and very annoying to deal with... I come to get an adjustment and be at peace, not hear an immensely condescending spiel along the lines of "oh so you can't afford it but you paid $39 for todays one time visit?" No, actually I got a $19 coupon.... And when I tell him my sister in law is a chiropractor and usually adjusts me, Bystrom's reply was "oh well she doesn't live close enough then" in his signature condescending tone. I felt very badgered, and uncomfortable. And then he proceeded to adjust me... I mean at least leave the verbal attacking for after the session, no?? As for the adjustment, he was too rough, I thought the same after the first time but since I didn't have any pain after the first session I decided to come to him again. But I realized that a place like this, with the setup that it has is more of a conveyor belt type of adjustment and not much emphasis on the patient feeling comfortable and in a safe space. I was adjusted yesterday, September 5th and the left side of my neck is all out of whack and it hurts to move my neck around. I came in with no pain, just wanting a simple adjustment and left with nerve pain along my neck down mid back and with all kinds of negative feelings and thoughts around the care. Again, I'm thankful all my other Chiro experiences before Bystrom were positive ones because this was awful mentally and physically and I would hate to see people turn away just because of people and places like this. read more
