As a military member on TriCare, I paid over $600 out of pocket for treatment until my condition was resolved. Recently, while in town on military orders, I called to schedule a simple check-up. To my surprise, I was told that wasn't possible. At my most recent visit, a molar cracked, and I immediately had that sinking feeling: "root canal." I was right. When I told him I wasn't on board, he simply stood there tapping his foot, waiting for me to give in. I told him I would be seeking a second opinion--and that's exactly what I did. My new dentist confirmed that a root canal was not necessary, as the tooth was still healthy. Unfortunately, that experience caused me to lose all trust.

My reason for first becoming Dr. Wilson's patient was to get a 2nd opinion when my new dentist (at the time) told me I needed to underdo some expensive dental procedures. Dr. Wilson quickly diagnosed the procedures as unnecessary saving me a small fortune. Over the last 20 years, my extended family and I have continued to get our every 6-month teeth cleanings because most of the Cornerstone dental hygienists are top-notch putting in extra effort in removing as much plaque and tartar as possible to prevent tooth decay and gum disease. One of my favorite hygienists is Kerri because she does such an outstanding job each time. While you can't schedule a teeth cleaning with a specific hygienist, I always feel very lucky when I'm one of Kerri's patients. Over the last two years, I've had to have some expensive dental work completed to address two of my lower molars (with fillings) finally becoming brittle and wearing out (after over 5 decades of use). Dr. Wilson and his staff did an outstanding job crowning these molars, and they ended up being a much improved and well-worth-the-investment upgrade. About 7 months or so ago I went in for a cleaning and much to my dismay I was told I had 5 cavities. In the first 30 years of my life I had none, but now I have five. That should have been my first indicator. About a week after my first round of cavities being filled the exact spot of one cavity became extremely sensitive to cold or heat so I go back in. Her explanation, my gum has receded some so that was causing the sensitivity on the top of my tooth in the exact spot she filled my cavity. Right, so she puts something on the exposed part of my tooth to help and within 2 days it had all fallen off. Several weeks later I went in to have the remaining 3 cavities filled, only I was told they were filling 2 cavities. After I paid and was about to walk out the tech come rushing out informing me they hadn't filled one of the cavities and wanted to know if I wanted to come back in and start the process all over again. I think not. So by this point, I've decided that I will never set foot in this place again. Now, a full 6 months after my last treatment I get a bill in the mail saying I have an unpaid balance that is over 90 days due. First, I paid my balance in full after my last appointment so why do I all of a sudden have an unpaid balance. Second, how is this the first letter I got concerning this. This insinuates that I've got at least 2 other letters and have not bothered to pay up. I had thought this place was suspect early on but this was just the straw that broke the camel's back. On Tuesday I'm going to go in on my lunch break, pay my past due balance and walk out of that place and never go back. I hope that if anyone is looking for a dentist reads this and avoids this place like the plague. If you are looking for quality dentistry work and a professional experience, please look elsewhere.

I usually don't do reviews like this, but it was so upsetting that I need to let the company know what happened. This is for The Joint--Shiloh location. I was in getting adjusted a few days ago and heard raised voices coming from the front. I asked the doctor to stop so that I could hear what was going on. My wife was waiting for me in the car outside and I was really trying to make sure it wasn't her. The doctor and I listened in and it was a patient and the lady at the front desk. The guy had lost his card or didn't have access to his card or something like that and was having a really bad day. This lady at the front desk was so cold and heartless to him. No compassion whatsoever. She was talking to him like he was a criminal and the guy was just having a really bad day. I can't remember her name but (she has blue hair) to be honest, I've seen her like this on other occasions as well. They have some front desk receptionists that are really nice, but this one seems angry all the time and is always snappy at people. She was rude to me when I came in but I just ignored her. It wasn't until I saw how she was treating this poor guy that I felt I needed to speak up. I was going to say something to her when I came up there to try to speak up for the guy then, but the doctor came up with me and I think he was going to intervene. So I left. I gave this place 3 stars because I did enjoy my adjustment and felt better after leaving. But it is NOT OK to treat people like this. I am actually a business owner so that's why I feel this review is important so that some changes can be made. If my employees were behaving like this, I would definitely want to know and would address it immediately. It's a terrible look for the company. read more

I don't usually do reviews but I am upset and have to voice this. I am really surprised to see that there aren't more complaints for this place. The ONLY reason I give it 2 stars and not zero stars, is because of that one Dr. they have, Dr. Hamilton. Let me tell y'all what happened to me this weekend. I called on Friday because I was going to be bringing my family on Saturday and wanted to make sure Dr. Hamilton would be there. Tracey told me he would be. Well guess what?! I drove 60 miles to get there and no Dr. Hamilton. He wasn't working that day. I was furious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How does Tracey not know the Dr's schedules and she answers the phones???? I wouldn't let those other doctors touch us. We used to see them and their techniques are amateur at best. It's like paying for an adjustment and getting a massage. I'm not sure if they have different levels of experience in there but there is clearly a difference. My mother is a chiropractor so I've been adjusted all my life and know what it's supposed to feel like. Then, when the owner is in there, she is RUDE RUDE RUDE! I don't see how they work for her. It's terrible the way she talks to people. So y'all can go, but be careful of who you let adjust you. I need to see some credentials on those other Doctors, but Dr. Hamilton is great. Oh and Tracey....you need more training and you owe me gas money! read more
