This office is very busy every day of the week and even with a membership be prepared to waste a lot of time waiting. They typically only have one doctor working and often take "new patient appointments" ahead of short 4-5 minutes for members appointments. I've written to management and no one seems to be concerned about the members waiting in the lobby for :45 minutes while they take 1 person back at a time. It's incredibly frustrating. They advertise 5 minutes for an appointment but how can that be when there is only one doctor who is focused on new patients? They could improve by focusing on keeping the members paying their dues and hiring another person. read more

3.5 stars. I think this is a good option for a quick adjustment here and there, but I'm not sure that I would pay for a membership. My husband had a back injury that needed to be looked at, so I brought him here for one visit. They realigned his spine which was a little twisted at the time, but at the end of the visit he wasn't comfortable with paying for a membership and going again for another visit. At one point, he expressed pain during the realignment, but the doc(?) pushed through with pressure anyways and it was a bit scary to witness (my husband yelled in pain). While the The chiropractor bedside manner could be better however the receptionist behavior was unacceptable. On 8/18/24, my experience at The Joint @ Brier Creek was disappointing and unprofessional. I was informed at 3:05 PM that I might not be seen, despite the clinic closing at 5PM. To make matters worse, a regular client who checked in after me was seen first, which felt unfair and unacceptable. The staff member's rude and dismissive attitude only added to the frustration. I'm fighting the urge to leave a 1-star review. I've been trying to cancel my membership with The Joint Chiropractic for MONTHS now, and due to their strange cancellation policies, it has been a huge headache (not to mention I continue to be charged despite attempting to cancel). They do not offer any way to cancel online, and as someone who's on the road talking to people all the time, I'm not going out of my way to spend more time on the phone. If you search the web you'll quickly learn that every location purposely makes the cancellation process challenging to keep you subscribed to their membership and spending money (even after you thought your cancellation was confirmed). I've added a second star because the chiropractor himself is fine and does what he needs to do to adjust members. It is ridiculously quick, there is nothing more than the treatment so you will be in and out in 5 minutes tops. If you're looking for thorough care, I'd recommend a non-franchise drive-through style chiropractic office. read more

I had a concerning visit today with regard to COVID-19 precautions. The front desk staff was wearing her mask with nose completely exposed. I pointed this out and she adjusted her mask only briefly. It remained below her nose the rest of the time I was at the clinic including during the time she was talking face-to-face with a woman who appeared to be a manager. The chiropractor stepped out to greet me with no mask on at all. It was hanging by his chin. He extended his bare hand to me. I declined and he offered me a fist bump. I asked if he was going to put on his mask. He replied, if you want me to. To which I replied that I thought it was required. The service did the job and I intended to go back this week since I had one more prepaid visit to use. But honestly after I left and the more I thought about it, the more disturbed I was by the whole experience. This location obviously does not take customer safety seriously. read more

I had been having neck problems ever since a bad car accident in 2016, and I kind of just resigned myself to this neck pain for whatever reason. One day, the pain caught up to me, and I needed relief ASAP. A lot of chiropractors were closed or required advance appointments, so I turned to The Joint. After my first appointment, I signed up for their membership ($59 for 4 visits per month). You can walk right in and get seen by a chiropractor. The Joint makes accessing relief very easy. I cancelled after 2 months because I realized I really do not need to see a chiropractor 4x a month, nor do I even have the time to go. I overestimated how often I expected to see the doc. That said, the relief they provided was immediate. If you are in need of some help ASAP, I'd recommend the Joint. read more

They are all about selling you on a monthly subscription. On my first visit I had to sit through a half hour dissertation about why I need to come several times a week for a month. I ended up agreeing to a month's worth of visits not realizing it was a recurring subscription. When I emailed them asking to cancel my subscription they said they couldn't cancel it unless I came to the office and filled out a form. Since I was out of town I couldn't do that right away. They just want your money so buyer beware! read more

I was experiencing back pain and neck pain, and sought out this establishment for assistance. Was able to feel immediate relief, which of course decreased my need to go as frequently. One visit the provider suggested based on feedback I had shared with him that I could reconsider a new mattress. I have done that and haven't had the need to go back at all for visits. No lie.. over several years time, I have been to 2 sports medicine doctors (one at Tulane University & one at Wake Forest School of Medicine), 2 different 3 month sessions with physical therapists in New Orleans, steroid injections (which made me feel like a teenager for only 3 days), and 2 MRI's prescribed by my internist. Finally, when I moved up to the Triangle area, I resorted to a chiropractic session. I've never had much faith in this form of therapy, but I was desperate. My first 2 experiences at The Joint in Chapel Hill were a major disappointment. The doctor was rude and indifferent both visits. Lucky for me, Dr. Musso from the Briar Creek location was subbing up in Chapel Hill and I did a session with him. My God, he targeted where my back pain was coming from, twisted me into a pretzel and applied pressure and I was finally pain free. I still have inescapable triggers that create a miserable pain, but I drive to the Briar Creek location from Chapel Hill and see Dr. Musso and I'm pain free. I've never had any problem getting in to see a Dr at any of The Joint locations, however, I always call first to see if they are busy. After years of back pain, I now know what is causing the problem and can identify the triggers for the muscle spasm AND know who can get me back in shape. Thank you Dr. Musso. read more

I enjoyed my conversation with the receptionists at the front desk. To be honest, I was nervous for my initial visit. Anyway, I came to this establishment on the recommendation of my mother. The military pricing is a great value. However, the chiropractor didn't make me feel very comfortable or valued. He immediately downplayed my pain level written on the assessment. It took everything in me to not walk out after he said, "C'mon you're not an 8!". The consultation was quick and I began to feel more discomfort afterwards. While scheduling at the front desk, I asked the receptionist if I could ice it while there or anything for relief. It was sweet of her to give me an ice pack and check in with the chiropractor for me. His dismissive tone of telling me to ice it at home or come back later is what made me cancel any future plans on returning to this business. I may have a cheerful disposition but I have discomfort and pain like others. As a veteran, we feel that much of our pain is downplayed at the VA - that's never been my experience there. Tried to get in last week and the front desk person was polite and friendly and checked me in. I had asked if I was too late to get in and she said it was fine but when I went back for treatment the chiropractor was rude and asked what I was doing back there and I said I had checked in and was told to come back and he just looked past me and talked in louder angry voice to front desk person telling her off and then said some curt comment to me as he walked past me. I guess you have to come before 645pm even though they close at 7pm which is fine but he handled it in the most rude way possible to me and the front desk person. It was bad customer service and felt embarrassed for how he talked to her. I had pretty good experiences with other chiropractors here but I'll think twice next time. read more

I got a trial membership from my wife two years ago for Xmas. I am still a member today. I visit every Saturday or Sunday (yes, they are open on Sundays) and I have visited The Joint in Myrtle Beach SC, Morrisville & Brier Creek NC, Thousand Oaks in CA, and in the Summerville NJ locations. That is the beauty of the Joint, I do not need to be near my house to get help when my back or neck are crooked. I had visited other Chiropractic offices and the cost (even with insurance) is very high but with The Joint, the price is actually very good for all the attention I get. They gave me a bar coded ID card and I scan it at the front desk and walk right back to see my chiropractor, in and out in 10 - 15 minutes. Best of all, I am seen by different chiropractors with different technique that work on different parts of my body with great skills. I am delighted with the service I get. When I leave their offices I am relieve of pain and feeling 10X better than when I went in. To top it all, I do not need to worry about money transactions when I go in because they bill the program right to my credit card. This is an expense I do not mind at all. Brier Creek location is near my house and therefore I visit them more often, they take good care of me and know me by name. Kudos to the Brier Creek, NC location. I have visited many chiropractic offices through the decades, in multiple states. After giving birth, my sciatica pain worsened despite observing exercises that were supposed to relieve the discomfort. On top of that, I developed some cervical radiculopathy which radiated down my right arm. My initial visit was not as favorable because the chiropractor who saw me was hurried as he said, "Come on, let's get on with your story so we can get this over with," in a very non-therapeutic tone. This being my initial visit left a bitter taste in my mouth. The second chiropractor I saw during the next couple of weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays had a better demeanor, yet, I saw how heavily he was dealing with the case load as each client he saw did not seem to have a comprehensive intervention with their complaint. It was like he was just getting the cases done. Then, two Fridays ago, a new chiropractor who was visiting from the North Raleigh branch helped out, alleviating the extra load from the directing chiropractor. This was the game-changer! He even cleaned his hands between patients-- A HUGE deal for me as I am a health care provider myself. I pray that the increased influx of patients will never again influence the high quality care your group boasts about. See you guys at the office! read more
