After a very painful couple of days I resorted to the internet hoping to find some quick relief. Much to my surprise I found Joint Chiropractic open on the weekends. Jessica made check-in quick and easy. Dr. Gee evaluated my pain and addressed the issues with a thorough adjustment to my lower back. We all know these problems can't be resolved in just one day, but I left the Dorchester Ave office feeling like I can make it to work on Monday. There are no insurance struggles. They offer a variety of visit packages and affordable monthly plans. They accept FSA card if this is an option for you. No appointment needed. All visits are handled on a walk-in basis. Joint Chiropractic has four local locations and you are able to go to the most convenient office. There are also locations in other states available. I will be using the Mount Pleasant location this week because it's close to work for me. I truly appreciate being able to address my serious back pain on the weekend without it being a huge production. I will for sure return to Joint Chiropractic. read more

This place is my newest addiction!!! I've had back pain for years and never really did anything to combat it besides pop an Aleve here or there. Then finally, after I tweaked my neck diving into a wave, I decided to try out chiropractic care. It has done wonders. I have virtually no pain. My posture has improved. I feel like I can even breath better. Dr. Alex is super easy to talk to and extremely informative. He doesn't jus pop this there and crack that there with a boot out the door. He makes sure you understand everything that happening. There really is no better time than the present. If your body hurts, there is a reason. Hit this Joint and I guarantee you'll feel amazing. read more

Dr. Colombo is the BEST. I always leave feeling new and relieved and ready for the new week. The clinic is always clean and friendly staff. I love the gesture of free water bottles and candy, that is sweet. Thank you Dr. Colombo read more

The joint is a very modern and convenient to my home. During my first visit, there was bit of a wait. I didn't like how someone was pushed before me just because I was a new patient and it would take longer. During another visit, I scanned my card and was told it would be a thirty minute wait due to a new patient. I am not sure if the adjustments are helping or made to keep my coming back spending more money. I signed up for the two month plan. I will be cancelling after then. The first receptionist I met was a sweetie, she was from the Azalea office. The regular receptionist didn't greet me at all, but helped me cancel my plan. The office is clean and fresh looking. They have complimentary water and mints (which I love). The key card is a cool way to check in without signing papers. I never knew that adjusting a child may help with night bed wetting. I'm going to look into that. read more

When I asked to cancel my monthly subscription i wasn't using and haven't in over 2 months they tried to charge me to cancel the subscription. Had my bank stop payment. read more

I have been a customer at the Joint for four years. Over the last year, I have been disappointed with the constant change in chiropractors at the Mount Pleasant location. And they adjusted me the same way every single week without checking my spine for what actually needs adjusting. So unfortunately, I decided to cancel my membership because the service was so inconsistent. I called the Summerville Wescott location (which is where I initially signed up back in 2014). The receptionist on the phone told me to come in and sign the cancellation form by the 18th but when I went in on the 17th to cancel, they'd already drafted my account and they refuse to refund it. They even went so far as to basically call me a liar saying "all of our receptionists here wouldn't have told you that, because we know how to check your draft date." That's extremely rude and unhelpful and complete garbage considering I wrote down what the lady told me on the phone and had it with me. "The customer is always right" is not a mentality that they live by. I unfortunately had to file a fraud claim with my bank because of their negligence and the wrong information they gave me. I reuse to pay $50 for a service that is not being rendered. They're more concerned with taking your money and adjusting everyone the same way every single time, regardless of size, shape, or condition. Take your business elsewhere! read more

I've been to all of the Joint locations in the area and this is by far the best with Summerville a close second. Dr. Bord is a very good chiropractor and I never feel like he is pushing the boundaries with my neck! I actually signed up for their plan in Mt P but haven't been back since. I should have started here in the first place. Overall a very clean, convenient and well run location. Just a note that Wednesday is his day off so I can't comment for his stand in doc. read more

I never really delved too much into chiropractic care until I started looking for natural ways to help my wife with her back pain. We tried another place before The Joint with little to no success. We decided to check The Joint out based upon their awesome introductory offer. We got lucky enough to get paired up with Dr. Bord on our initial visit. There was a huge difference in the approach taken versus the other place we had tried. My wife loved her first visit. So much so that I wanted to try it myself. About a month later I started going as well, and I was equally pleased with my visits with Dr. Bord. He is awesome. He has an extensive knowledge of chiropractic care and has the skill level to back it up. I now go every weekend, and my back thanks me for it. Of course a few people are complaining about the way the contract works and how payments are drafted. It's honestly typical contract stuff. At this point most things are contact based, and everyone knows how it all typically works. It's a matter of personal accountability and book keeping. I've never had a problem with it. I will continue to visit The Joint. You can't beat four visits a month for what one visit cost at other places! read more

Cassidy is always pleasant when greated at the front desk. Alex is one of the best chiropractors I've ever seen. The Joint is the best and most affordable options for chiropractic needs. read more

Dr. Alex is wonderful takes his time listens to me had help me a lot nice atmosphere caring receptionist very clean great prices

Dr. Bord -- touchy feely guy -- he uses his hands and not so much the drops on the table - which work better for me. I always feel relief when I leave. No gimmicks, no fancy equipment. Signed up for the membership 4 x month -- and it works for me because they are open 7 days a week. Very friendly and welcoming staff. read more

Very first time I visited a chiropractor. The doctor was very good at explaining everything to me. I left feeling much better after my first session. I was a little bit confused by the payment arrangement since they said I was getting a $29 discount as a first timer. However, when I checked my account they took $29. read more

Great chiropractors here, I've been seen by many other chiropractors in other states. The ones here are top notch and you cant beat the price. Beware of the spine clinic and other places that want to put you on a payment plan to pay for thousands of dollars for a few months of treatment. read more

First off, let me say that the Chiropractor Brian here is awesome. I have zero issue with the service provided by him, he's super friendly and professional. All in all a great provider and I was honestly a bit skeptical about going to a chiropractor but I actually really liked it. Problem is, I signed up for a two month deal ($49/month) and explained at the time of signing up I was just trying to service to see if I even liked it. The receptionist stated that she'd call me and let me know when the time was coming up before it would renew my monthly charge and I could choose to cancel then if I wished. Given my age and experience with businesses not always following through with such courtesy calls, I stopped in myself today (four days before the renewal of my account just to make sure I don't get charged and said I needed to cancel because I can't even make it in due to work+kids+life but I would probably sign up again later when timing and funding were a bit more disposable. Turns out, I'd be lawyerized by the contract which requires a 30 day notification before you can cancel. This contract requirement is a clear cheap trick to take money from people should they choose to cancel. They're essentially taking a bit more money from any customers who decide it's not something they wan to commit to any longer or for the moment. I explained that the receptionist that signed me up on this adventure (a different one that maybe doesn't even work there anymore?) told me she'd call me and said it wouldn't be an issue to cancel before my two months were up. **receives blank stare** It didn't matter. I was still going to be charged for a THIRD month even though I hadn't even been able to come in for the previous month. This isn't an apartment complex where you need to notify the landlord in advance so they can begin the process of renting back out the apartment I'm now choosing to vacant. It's completely ridiculous to place that bogus of a term in a contract for a service that doesn't require notification for termination of their services. I can understand if they were completely FULL and couldn't even let new clients sign up for services and I was essentially holding up a place and the business would be at a loss should I just up and leave. But I had paid my two months and the fact that they have a two month requirement to even sign up for the service that I did that requires a 30 day notice to cancel continued membership is just plain bad business sense for taking care of customers. It's disrespectful to charge someone for a service they aren't happy with or getting their value out of, why burn a potential return customer at a later time by forcing them to pay MORE money for something they aren't even going to use? Admittedly...I KNOW IT WAS IN THE CONTRACT that 30 days is required, but I took the receptionists word when she told me if I wasn't happy I could cancel before the 60 days was over... I still believe in HONEST business/customer relations, unfortunately to my own demise. Now "The Joint" has unfortunately not only lost a potential returning customer at some point, they've burned that bridge completely and now everyone I can share this bit of poor business practice with will hear the story of how "The Joint" would rather just take someone's money because they can, rather than actually do the right thing which is not place a completely unnecessary requirement on a client just to get money from their wallet on their way out the door. read more

Since there are a few places around town I need to tell you that I went to the Westcott location off of Dorchester Road for a annoying pain in my lower back, I am not sure of the name of the Chiropractor that treated me. I've been to Chiropractors before so I'm aware of the approach. I'm ex-military so I've felt pain before. In fact I've gone to the ER at times and have ended up with 40 or more stitches, but I can honestly say that the most pain I've ever felt was maybe a 5 on a 1-10 scale. I have a pretty high threshold for pain. However, that being said I can say that on my visit here I did reach close to a 9. Everything was going fine until he went to adjust my neck. The pain that radiated from my neck, over my shoulder and down into my hand caused me to lose my vision for a second or two. I did not black out but I was worried that I was going to have a stroke. The DR. said " I wasn't expecting that!" Have you had any ruptured disks? I said no. To give you an idea of the pain when I was a kid I did get a shock from a cattle prod once while playing around which is like a taser. The Chiropractor experience was much much worst. The next day I got a text message from the owner saying "How are we doing?" with a link to a survey site. I answered the same way as here but apparently no one reads them and the message is automated. A week later my shoulder is still sore as if there is a pinch nerve now and I did go to MUSC a couple of days later. FYI- I still don't have any ruptured disks and I have gone back to some old remedies such as stretching more. Be careful and Google neck adjustments before you let any one do it to you. read more

PLEASE BEWARE! I should not have to manage a business as a client. They charged my account twice in the same month. A couple of months later I had to put my account on hold, due to not being able to make it to the office for a couple of months, filled out all the paperwork associated with putting an account on hold and I am STILL being charged. Also, every time I go in, there is a different receptionist. One of the receptionists complained to me about another worker who is always late and doesn't do anything in the office. Unfortunately, I went with the 6 month plan and am now stuck with paying for services I don't receive. The contract is a scam. PLEASE BEWARE read more
