Walked in as, online states walk ins welcome. Since I was a new client the chiropractor turned me away. I'm a life time chiropractic client and he had 45 minutes to see who I was and adjust me. He didn't want to. Nobody in the clinic. He said I needed to be there at 5:30 to check in. I didn't see any time constraints for new clients on their online advertisement. He just wanted to get out of there. 45 minutes with no one there. As a regular chiropractic client, I clearly know how much time they work on you. In and out. I told him I came quite a way to get there. His response: do you want to schedule an appointment? Funny!! I told him to stick it. So much for a doctor's care. Nicely appointed clinic. Very high volume clinic set up like an auto assembly line. No continuity in who will work on you. The business model is to sign you up, pay for multiple visits in advance then sit back knowing very few people will use all their appointments - same model as gym memberships. I once loved this location! But apparently they are one of the clinic who require registered mail as the only option to carry. The DR didn't care I was living in Idaho. I tried to call the Texas location bc that's where I've gone for 3 months!!! And they couldn't cancel for me but does allow email cancellations because that owner believes it's good practice to not try and steal money from people. UNLIKE MYRTLE BEACH. He told me I was out of luck and that my card would be charged...that's some BULLSHIT. After almost a year with this company I will now never go back. Once greedy Dr ruined the whole business for me. Buyer beware! The Joint gives solid clinical care, but they are very shady business practices which border on fraud and that are not at all customer friendly. We were on vacation in South Carolina, and I popped in to get a one-time adjustment. The employee at the counter pushed hard for me to sign up for the one-month plan, saying "it will cost you just as much for one adjustment as 4. And you can cancel anytime." Their computer system was down, the line to check in was out the door, I had my 3-year-old with me, so the whole thing was very rushed & chaotic. The employee asked me to sign the form, and she would "fill out the paperwork later and put it into the computer for you." This was my mistake: never sign any paperwork without reading it completely. Two weeks later I was back home, across the country. I called to cancel, and the employee informed me that I had actually signed up for a 2-month plan, and I "can't just cancel." I was shocked and tried to argue that I was never given informed consent, but they wouldn't budge. They emailed me a copy of the form I signed, and the handwriting all over the form was not mine...but there was in small writing that it was a 2-month commitment. I contacted corporate customer service who were friendly but said they couldn't override the individual branch's decision. I exchanged emails with the branch's manager, who refused to even discuss the point that I was not given informed consent on what I was signing, slinging corporate jargon at me. She was dismissive and then just stopped answering me all together, as did the corporate customer service. They had zero room to budge, valuing that extra one month payment over keeping me (or my family) as customers, having no issue burning that bridge with us. To add to the frustration, their actual cancellation process is a nightmare. You have to give a 30-day notice for cancelling and can only do so in person, at your "home location." So here I am, stuck on the opposite side of the country from my "home location." Through two weeks of conversations and following their instructions each time, I was told I could cancel via phone (nope), could cancel via email (nope), had to snail mail the form (nope), could email the form (nope), and had to go in person to the location closest to me (also nope). The end result was I had to wait until the day after the payment was charged to my card, then call my local branch who in turn had to send a copy of my form to the "home" branch across the county. Again, the clinical care you get there is solid, and the convenience is great, but I would strongly advise against ever signing any form of contract with their extremely anti-customer service billing practices. read more

Got to the joint 40 minutes before they closed and the receptionist wouldn't allow me back because I was a new patient and had to fill out paperwork which she stated "would have taken too long" I just came from out of state to visit family who are current members at the joint. I have a regular chiropractor I see back home and after driving 11 hours the day before I was just looking for some relief. If you look on their website the joint prides themselves on weekend and evening walk in's, and says a persons first visit can take up to 30 minutes and with no one in front of me they had plenty of time to provide the service. I have neck problems so I have to go to the chiropractor often and because I usually wait until it's really bad I sometimes have to go two or three days in a row to get the problem fixed. I moved here three years ago and went to another place first by my house and I was very disappointed. So I found The Joint and I've been going ever since. I have seen three different doctors and they all always know how to fix my problem. By evening the pain is bearable.
