I haven't had chiropractic care for a while now. Last time I did, insurance paid for all of it - even some massage. Now, I didn't even check as I'm trying not to max out my deductible and OOP spending this year - as I've done too many years in the past. Which is why I avoided going the traditional route - through my GP for an xray, PT and finally an MRI. I looked for a Groupon like I've used in the past. I just didn't find anything like what I was looking for - a diagnostic xray, consult and adjustment. Instead, looking on Yelp I found this Joint Connection offering - near my house which is important. I understood the concept - membership for ongoing treatment. I read the reviews which were mostly very good and also checked out the pricing. I made an appointment for the $29 visit as my back hurt so bad, I had to do SOMETHING. I was losing sleep with the pain and my exercise routine was suffering. I walked in and saw greeted right away. I filled out a questionnaire about my medical history and current issues. While doing so, others came in, checked in and were quickly seen and adjusted by the doc. When it was my turn, the doc asked me some questions and quickly had me on the table. I was familiar with the adjustments he did and while I was afraid it would really hurt and aggravate my pain, it wasn't bad and I did feel a little relief afterwards. Mostly importantly, I found out the cause of my pain had been a change in sleep positions about 6 months ago. That coincided with the timing the pain started and the location of where it was. The doc suggested a sleep position which I really appreciated. I spoke to the scheduler after seeing the doc and she talked through the options moving forward. They were consistent with what I'd seen on line. I was hesitant to sign up right there and then given the 2 month minimum membership term. However, I quickly did the math and knew that it was cheaper to invest this money that start again with my GP. The doc added 2 visits for the 1st month so I could come twice a week for the first 2 weeks. I had started on a Friday - so I returned the following week on Monday and Thursday. I'll do that again next week. The only think I would change - I like the one doc I saw one of the visits better than the other. I have to figure out their schedules so I can come when the preferred doc is doing the adjustments. So far, I'm still having pain and haven't been able to sleep in the suggested position. However, I've mostly avoided the position that caused the problem. Most days I feel better - unfortunately, today was not one of those days. I have found that an ice pack on my back (which I had not been doing) really helps. Highly recommend you give this a try. They hurt my back and neck worse than when I went in initially and charged me months of payments after my one adjustment. A complete scam and they do not understand what they are doing, I have had to have several doctors appointments after my one session with them and they have continually billed me for membership fees that I never agreed to. This is a terrible business and I cannot recommend them less. I had one session with them and they billed me for memberships that I never agreed to. DO NOT go here. It is a scam. Here's my story: I recently moved to Ohio and, while checking my account, noticed $69 was still being taken from my checking account. I previously thought these were auto-payments for my Internet service. Of course, I should have been paying more attention, but I make various payment every month. I traced these to find that they had gone back 10 months from June 2020, identified only as Asheville NC. I called my bank and they could not tell me who was making these withdrawals. How clever of The Joint to "mask" itself as recipient of these payments. It took me some time to figure out who the payment was from, but after some digging I found that it was The Joint. I immediately called to cancel my subscription and was told that they could only refund me for 1 month. By this point, I had lost a total of $700 dollars to a service I wasn't using. I only attended The Joint for 1 month. This was my first medical pursuit after I got off of my parents' insurance and I was in a lot of pain with chronic sternum inflammation. I went in and was strongly sold to, told that they would "most certainly" be able to fix my issue and that they would "throw in a couple more appointments" in my first month for "free". Apparently, they have a policy that when you sign up, there is a two month minimum. I have absolutely no recollection that I was told this, when I am normally very aware of these things. Perhaps it was because they muttered it under their breath or possibly because I was in pain and desperate for support. I really felt that they were going to take care of me. After various appointments in that first month, my pain got worse. It actually hurt for me to get up off the couch or a chair because my chest was so inflamed at this point. They kept reassuring me that they could help, but after my first month, I stopped going to The Joint. I was under the impression that I had used all of my first month's appointments and was complete. I wouldn't go back because I had lost trust in their ability to help me. In essence, I feel completely scammed by this practice. They either failed to clearly explain their (extortion) policy or preyed off of my pain - or both. After speaking with my parents, I learned that they are informed every month when any recurring payment is taken out of their bank account. The Joint does not do this - they simply extract money from your bank silently without notifications and without being able to be identified through your bank records (hence why I thought it was a monthly utility bill). ADDITIONALLY, no one in their office attempted to reach out to me to ask why I had not come in. There was ZERO follow-up. I didn't hear a word from them after I stopped coming in. How can a company continue to siphon money out of a person's bank account without even an email follow-up or a call? Please don't tell me you had no way of getting in touch with me, while you certainly knew how to make withdrawals. I can't believe this is how you treat your customers - people who trusted you to help heal their pain. Unbelievable. You refer to yourselves as "healthcare" providers. You refer to your personalized systematic scam as a "Personalized Healthcare Plan" and "Membership" with an initialed "agreement" based on a verbal explanation. I feel duped for unwittingly being made to pay for services never rendered beyond 1 month. In response, they offer to give me a "1 month refund"? Clearly, The Joint has their money extraction system quite streamlined. I've read other reviews only to find that others have fallen victim to the same shady business practices. I only attended The Joint for 1 month because they made my pain worse, and then they continue to steal $700 from me after they've further injured me. I need this money back. Given that I lost my income with COVID-19, I was absolutely horrified to find that they are continuing to do this to people. These scammers need to be shut down. DO NOT go here. read more

We are here near Reno for a few days. I took a Lyft from the truck stop and glad I did! It's Sat and there were two Chiro's in today. I ended up with the young gal. I wasn't sure at first cause she is pretty small. She told me she gets that a lot !! She continued to adjust me. I told her she can be a little stronger in my back adjustment. This is a great place for chiropractic care that is truly accessible and convenient. No appointments are needed and hours are convenient with evening and weekend hours. We have never waited more than 10-15 minutes. Usually there is only one doctor on duty, but they move fairly quickly unless there is a new patient which takes a bit longer. You can get a first visit for $29 or less (check online for specials) which includes an adjustment and evaluation. Then you can either buy each follow up individually or get a prepaid package. We got six visits a month for $59, for example. Then each extra visit above six is only $10. They have several adjustment tables in the back area, but we've never seen more than one doctor on duty so there's never more than one patient in the back. If there are ever two doctors and more than one patient is getting adjusted it won't be a private treatment though you always stay fully clothed. The doctors here have typically been very good. They take their time, and each treatment usually takes 10-15 minutes. The only slight drawback is that because their model is focused on mainly express adjustments there aren't any other treatment options or treatment modalities you might find at a private chiropractic office. Best of all - the adjustments do seem to work. We have had significant pain relief when compared with the level one year ago before starting treatment. The chiropractic adjustment here seems very thorough compared to other places I've been. I locked up my back somehow and wasn't able to turn my head very easily until I went here and had an adjustment. :). Besides a little muscle soreness I feel great. I highly recommend chiropractic medicine in general but this is the best place I've been to in Columbus out of a handful of offices. read more

I went to The Joint on a friend's recommendation. Years of being on my feet doing 12 hour hospital shifts have taken a toll on my back, neck and joints. Despite many meds and procedures, my pain was increasing and my abilities decreasing. I honestly had a "what could it hurt" attitude about trying chiropractic care. The no appointment policy caught my attention as well. Without exaggeration, Dr Henderson has made me feel better and restored my hope that life can be enjoyed without worrying about being limited by constant pain. I walk in feeling worn out by the miles I walk and the heavy lifting I do at work. I walk out feeling renewed and capable. I can't say enough about the difference being in Dr Henderson's care! I should mention I drive to The Joint from Canal Winchester, approximately a 35 minute trip-give or take with the endless Columbus road construction-and the care is worth the trip. I just recently started going here. I have to say that the staff here at the Joint, will probably be the nicest people you will ever encounter on a daily basis, especially Ciera, the receptionist!! The chiropractors are nice too!! They take their time to talk to you, they go over all of your concerns and ask you where you need their attention to go. I have been going to a chiropractor since I was 9 or 10 yrs old, I'm now in my mid 30's. I have been treated by many chiropractors over the years. But no one has ever adjusted me like the way Dr. Jessica has. She may be a little "vertically challenged" (her words, no mine) but she is the quintessential definition of "great things coming in small packages" (my words!!) I'm by no means a small guy either. And she has absolutely no issues of getting my body to calm down, relax, and my body to release like it should. She is one of the newest additions to this office, and I'm beyond excited knowing that I can see her anytime I need, as long as it's Tuesday through Saturday. Dr. Henderson, with just one adjustment, stopped my right leg from going out on me when I'm walking. He told me what my issue was, a simple exercise to do twice a day, and how long it should take to completely eliminate the problem. I had never heard of an "IT band" before, but that exercise touches all the problem areas on my right side along my IT band. The price and convenience makes it an extra plus. I never believed in Chiropractic care until I ended up in the ER because I couldn't move. I was sent home with a lot of information to read. I found it interesting that one of the suggestions was to seek out a Chiropractor. I was not only afraid of going, I was afraid it would hurt, and I was afraid it wouldn't work. I was so wrong! I have been going about once a week for the last 2 years. I wish I would have started years ago! The convenience of not having to make an appointment works well for me. I'm so lucky I found this place. I've been to a few chiropractors who do a minimal adjustment with little skill and where i'm literally falling off the table. Also, ones who are not very passionate about what they do and might not have much holistic interest or background. Dr. Henderson is brilliant! He only works at this location, but it's worth the drive even if you don't live very close. He has a ridiculous amount of knowledge and does a proper analysis in order to do the required adjustments. He listens to you and actually cares about helping you feel better. I had excruciating pain in my lower back for several days, and after one treatment, I felt 90% better. I was shocked. The chiropractors may be good but the office staff is terrible. First of all, the office does not have a fax machine and my insurance company attempted to fax the necessary forms for the approval of Short Term Disability. I had to drive to the office to obtain the paperwork and fax it myself. Disability denied since they did not receive paperwork in the required timeframe. What medical office does not have a fax machine? Then the insurance co requested medical records so I could return to work which The Joint was unable to provide. HHHMMM Hippa 101. Betty stated in a voice mail there was nothing they could do. During my second conversation with the receptionist regarding this matter, I was informed to obtain an attorney. Really? Just to get my medical records? I have contacted the corporate office. Their voicemails states a return call will occur within 24 hours. Three business days later, no return call. Due to this I am unable to get paid while I am office work. Will never return to this office or recommend them. read more
