Awful service! My husband and I were in the same car accident and so we started going to the joint in Lafayette, Louisiana and they were friendly, asked what our injuries were from so we were honest and said that we were in a wreck. We live between Lafayette and Baton Rouge so we were going to the Baton Rouge location. The chiropractor told me to lay on the table as he was looking at my chart and he started being very aggressive asking if my case was closed and I said yes it's closed. He said well it seems like you're here to get your insurance company to pay for this and we don't do that. I said well I've already paid three months in advanced for the membership and my case is closed. I explained that I was there because I'm trying to heal my neck/back area. He then went on to accuse me of trying to be there to collect insurance money once again. I got up and left. Meanwhile my husband was getting his adjustment from the same accident as this incident happened. Terrible service, not real chiropractors and belittling me claiming I was there to collect insurance money. Avoid this place and go to a private chiropractic company. read more

It's always something else coming into this location. I started coming here after they closed the Arlington market location and it's just not the same. Do yourself a favor and drive to Gonzales or Denham Springs. It's worth it, or simply find another company. It's never simple in and out. read more

The front staff's experience was disappointing. We were informed that the bar code scan was no longer usable and promptly requested to provide identification or utilize the application. While I use the application, the barcode scan and the application would function identically since there is no mechanism to verify the individual's identity. My partner, who is a monthly paying member, provided the first and last name and date of birth. We felt as though we were being penalized for being patients with the paid visits of the company. They informed us that another patient had someone else use their barcode membership, which is the reason for the discontinuation of the barcode. I believe the communication process was not handled appropriately. I suggested having a picture of patients on file to avoid the mishap entirely. The chiropractors are exceptional from my experience. It is the implementation of corporate policies that is problematic. Perhaps better communication about their corporate policies should be revisited. I should have read the previous review, as it is "not a simple in and out" experience. I am from out of town, and customer service is held to the utmost expectation, especially coming from Walt Disney World. This makes me reconsider purchasing further packaged visits from the company. read more

Never been to a Chiropractor Clinic before but a buddy of mine swore by it. Although nervous I went ahead and tried it out. Here at the Joint the staff was very informative of what is entailed and are a pleasure to work with. I enrolled in their monthly plan ($60) which gives you 4 visits a month. Safe to say I visit weekly and always feel relief. It's been 3 months now and I don't have as much pain in bed like I use to and notice my posture is much better! read more

If I could give it zero or negative stars, I would. The Joint charged me for 5 months when I only signed up for 2. I had a 3 day discussion with Lacour about how I was leaving the country for work and only needed two months. We finally made a deal so I signed the membership and cancellation form on the same day. Apparently they 'lost' my cancellation form. HA... bullshit. They knew I would be unavailable for the following 6-8 months, so they thought they could easily get away with charging me extra. When I finally realized I had all the charges, I was unable to contact them because I was, again, out of the country. I tried to find an email address and even asked the Facebook chat where they read it and never responded. This place is a scam. All they want is your money. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. read more

I am writing just to give an honest experience review. Saturday I threw out my back and all of a sudden I found myself unable to stand, sit, or walk. I didn't know what was wrong but it wasn't the first time it had happened. I knew I needed to get seen and soon. Upon looking online I was amazed I found somewhere that was not just open on a Saturday, but accepting walk-ins. I called to verify and then my husband and two kids rushed me the 25 minutes to Baton Rouge to be seen. I was taken back pretty quickly. It appeared there were two doctor working, one who was with a patient and the female one who was going to work with me. I was asked to sit down, lay down, turn over from side to side (typical for a chiro visit). My first problem was that I couldn't do these tasks. I wasn't really given much assistance in this and was just told to do them. I very slowly and painfully managed each task, with little to no help. When finally facing down and being examined, the Dr expressed how tight I was and that she couldn't adjust me in that condition. (I knew I would probably be adjusted, but in my condition that may not be possible so some stretching and a general assessment would be all that was accomplished during my first visit. I also had experienced x-rays being taken or ordered when presenting in such a condition for an unknown reason). Well as we usually do, I listened to the Dr and did as told, after all she is the Dr, not I. She began massaging my back on the opposite side than where I was having the problem (it is also common to receive a massage especially trigger point before being adjusted). This was painful, which I stated, but was told it had to be done because my muscles were so tense that they needed to be loosened for an adjustment. As she massaged (well pressed in an outward motion from spine to the outer part of my back) I began to cry. The more she went and the deeper and faster she went, the harder I cried. I began shaking and hysterically crying. My husband could see this from across the room. I kept picking head up and wiping my tears away. She continued harder and relentlessly, Like she was determined to relax my muscles. There was no way this was going to be possible, since I was so tense and shaking from the pain. I continued to hysterically cry and shake until she finally stopped and began the adjustments. They weren't terrible. Then she had me roll on my bad side (with no help) and put me into a position where they pretty much lay across/jump on your bent leg to adjust the hip joint area. Before she did this I said " oh no you're not going to so the leg thing are you?! Thats really going to hurt on that side!" (I was well aware of the move she was going to make). She said yes that she had to and proceeded. It did not work and I yelled out in pain. She repeated and again I yelped. She then said ok why don't we try the other side. Again I turned over without assistance. That side was done just fine. She had me go back on my stomach to re-check some things and stated that my legs were more even now. She then Told me to get up. I couldn't. It was impossible. After multiple attempts while tears rolled down my face, I gestured to my husband who came over and with much effort got me into a hunched standing position. At that point she decided to start to explain the plan options and why u should come back and why a certain plan was better than others etc etc this seemed to go on forever as I stood there unable to hold myself up and putting all of my weight on my husband's arm. Finally he stopped her and said "we get it... you sold us." She finished talking and gave us a little piece of paper telling me when to come back and to use an ice pack when I got home. (BTW all they were going to do was adjust me each time. 3 times a week for 2 weeks, 2 times a week for 2 weeks, 1 time a week for 2 weeks and then I should come in for "wellness visits.") In the meantime the other Dr, a male, came over and made some comment about me not having a good day. I retorted by saying that I was in much worse condition than when I arrived.. Upon leaving the female informed us that that gentleman would be there on Monday when I was to return. It took forever to pay and check out, but my husband decided to pay for the one month subscription. I sat on the chair holding myself up on one side because I could put no weight on the other. We then, very difficultly, got me into the car to leave. I immediately said "my back is going to be bruised from that and that I was in much more pain than when arrived. That evening the pain go worse, but on the wrong side. By the time I went to bed I had a bruise big enough and serious enough that it looked like I was beaten with a ball or large piece of fruit, along with a couple finger size bruises. One other time I got a bruise from a massage but it was nothing compared to this. That time it was a couple finger ones from doing trigger point massage to deeply. read more
