She seems current with research and she is even willing to think outside the box with me to help find the best route for my children. When I asked questions about vaccinations, she didn't immediate dismiss me (which has happened with other pediatricians). She actually took quite a bit of time going over them and offering alternatives to the regular vaccination schedule. It was refreshing! Whenever I have questions symptoms, she knew immediately what the issue was and also knew immediately how to treat it. I love how she is not aggressive in treatment (unless necessary) and tries to give regular illnesses time to heal on their own instead of immediately prescribing antibiotics. Her office is also open on Saturday and Sunday morning for issues that can't wait until Monday. I am so glad we made the change to take our children to Dr. Cook!

I'll add that my uncle was a prominent pediatrician in the area and was one of the first practicing pediatricians at Woman's hospital. I've never felt so disgusted or mistreated by a doctors office. Things have gone considerably downhill since Ochsner took over. While the office has lost its charm, we loved Dr. Cook and Faqouri so we stayed with the practice. Today was the last straw. My wife is immunocompromised and we take COVID 19 and all respiratory viruses very seriously. My daughter is completely up to date on all vaccines and well visits. After searching for weeks to find a pediatric dose of the 2026-2027 covid vaccine at a local pharmacy we were told that Louisiana law now requires a prescription and to contact our pediatrician. The answer we received from our pediatrician was that they "do not write vaccine prescriptions" and to "go check an urgent care." After some pushback I was told that the vaccine is unavailable (untrue, it's available in town at Albertsons, and in other states including Texas, Alabama, and Florida, although Texas and Alabama also require prescriptions which the doctors here are not licensed to write). After further discussion I was told that it is office policy not to write a prescription for a vaccine that they haven't ordered and that they are unavailable (again untrue, they are available today, in town). This is obvious political theater. Ochsner has set forth a policy not allowing their doctors to write prescriptions for the COVID 19 vaccine for children due to the asinine law pushed by the anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist Governor. This is truly my final straw. I can't recommend this practice or any Ochsner run clinic for your children. They're operating strictly as corporate policy only and have long given up any semblance of their Hippocratic oath. I'll be seeking out private practice, like this office used to be

I did not meet her until right after my son was born. I wasn't sure about her at first. She is a tiny, lovely woman who dresses like she lives in a Talbots store. When I first saw her I guess I was worried that she would be stuck up or hard to talk to. I was so wrong. Dr. Katzenmeyer is super easy to talk to and is very friendly. She is also very knowledgeable and always listens to my opinions/concerns and takes me seriously. My son loves her as well, which is always nice. Her office has always gotten us in when we needed a work in (which is frequently! I take that boy to the doctor like it's going out of style). Her nurse Susan is fantastic, too. I can't recommend her highly enough.

My husband did turn out great, right? :-) I am very pleased with this office. All of the pediatricians and nurses are very friendly and helpful. I cannot begin to say how many times I have called with what may be a silly question, but I am always comforted and given great advice about what I should do for my child. The one things that I would suggest is that if your pediatrician isn't there and you are getting assigned to another pediatrician check with your insurance company to make sure that they are covered. I didn't do this and I ended up having to pay out of network fees because my regular pediatrician wasn't in. The Pediatric Clinic has opened a new location by the new Woman's Hospital.

Dr. Gulino has been my older child's pediatrician for 3 years and my younger child's since birth, 1…read moreyear. She is terrific and makes both sick and well visits easy and informative. I always go in with a list of questions and she's never seemed rushed to leave without answering them. She's even patient with addressing concerns about the child whose visit it isn't. The reason for the 3 stars is that We saw one other physician right after my younger child was born and had a completely different experience. That physician was gruff and short and I felt I was annoying her with my questions regarding my then 2 day old infant. They also billed us the wrong amount - actIlly changing the CPT code after the fact to a higher charge. It took a months to get to the bottom of that but eventually the office manager at the time refunded our money. Their office policies can be frustrating but understandable that they require payment before seeing the doctor. I will however never see another doctor there and if Dr. Gulino ever left we'd find a new provider at a different facility. The nurses are also hit or miss as to how they act. I have seen some smoking outside the building which bothered me greatly but luckily we've never had one enter the exam room smelling like smoke. Dr. Gulino and the triage nurse are also both very responsive to emails.

So I have visited here for an MRI, x-ray, and some blood work. Unlike most facilities, they have…read moreit down to a science for moving people through the testing they need done. It is not the white glove experience, but when you are going for blood draws or medical tests, you're not there for "the experience", you're there to get it over with. That is exactly what this place does, get you in and out. All the staff I interacted with were courteous and helpful. No complaints and I really like how they don't waste my time. They clearly have enough staff-which is rare in healthcare. During all of my procedures, the nurses and staff were friendly and polite.

I feel like they are very unprofessional and not aware of other people needs. something has to change bc this entire "doctors visit" has taken up 3 hours of our Tuesday. my mom was late for work and so was I. unacceptable of this clinic.
