The prices for a large or small unit that have kitchens, 1 or 2 bedrooms with bath are not astronomical like other places. Did I mention that there is no driving on this part of the beach so you can sunbathe, relax, have your kids play here without the pressure of someone running you over. Wow, the updates and upgrades are continuing to improve The hurricanes haven't slowed them down The Cam and General Managers are dynamite. They work perfectly with the great staff. This "Timeshare" also continues as a hotel so you can call them for reservations or even better, go on Expedia where you can get excellent deals The staff as I mentioned, are incredible. Most of them have worked together as a well oiled machine for years. (This tells you something when there aren't any turnovers with staff) Owners that come year after year are extremely satisfied with care of their condos and even themselves. Again, they treat you like family. What I love about the newly experienced staff is when/if something isn't right they will IMMEDIATELY fix any problems that happens to occur. They continue to have staff and owners meetings once a week You can come in on Wednesdays, have coffee and donuts and express any problems or just tell them they are doing a great job They will tell you about the makeover and improvements that they are making for your stay to be as memorable They want you to have the best experience you want while enjoying your vacation. The Management, staff AND the maintenance is professional & understand the need to relax, have family parties, reunions & cater to your enjoyment while you are staying there. Did I mention they are RIGHT on the beach? YES, walk outside your door, past their clean well cared for pool, and onto this side of beach which is WITHOUT cars driving NOW, I didn't know I had to explain this but just like ANY condo, hotel, motel and resort Ocean FRONT and Ocean VIEW are NOT the same Ocean FRONT means walk out the door or balcony and you see the ocean Ocean VIEW means you will be able to have a view of the ocean . The best part was the backyard: beautiful quiet beach and warm clean pool. The waves were a little wild due to Hurricane Erin, but the beach was clean and mostly empty. Also spotted dolphins in the afternoon and on another day mid morning. This was unit 801. Lovely balcony overlooking pool deck and beach. The exterior o f the building is old and needs some love but inside the unit was clean and cozy. I would for sure stay here again.

Additionally, we do not feel that other required service providers (fuel, restaurants, stores. Etc.) would be available to support our trip. With 40 days advance notice White Pelican refuse to refund any part of the fee and has shown themselves to be greedy and unsupportive of the national situation. We were unable to have an unobstructed view of the ocean because of the very large forklift which often was parked right outside of our window. No, the landlord, Carol Rogers, did not inform us prior to our rental that all this repair work was going to be going on. When we tried to cancel our reservation she refused to refund a month's rent which cost us $2800. I would NEVER rent from this person ever again.

She waited until after we left our review to do it. I was able to get my review deleted, but I would not trust the reviews on there now, since she probably charges everyone her bogus fee after they leave a review. Not only did she charge my card without authorization a week after our stay, she also sent a hateful email insulting my family regarding how we left the house. We literally left a few dishes in the sink and some leftover groceries in the fridge. NO reason for extra cleaning fee of $250. There is also a massive condo skyrise right next to the house that is hidden from the pictures. She also states that it is a three bedroom house, when it is only a two bedroom house. Throwing a daybed into a closet room does not count as a bedroom. There were city code violations at the house as well. I could go on and on. We will never rent from this criminal again.

Our deposit was to be returned after a walk through was completed (this per one of the owners). We assumed this would happen before the next renter checked in that day. The condos are spacious, comfortable and equipped for longer stays. The vibe is so much more peaceful and intimate than staying at a Daytona hotel. We've stayed at similar places nearby when we can't get in here but nothing compares to the tranquility of this well maintained smaller complex. We stayed here over five years ago for the first time with family during the summer season and didn't care for the tons of kids in the pool, tents everywhere, loud radios on the beach and general noise throughout the day and night; but from the last couple reviews it sounds like the management may not be letting kids wreak havoc anymore which I personally appreciate. I'm a big fan of staying in the winter with (mostly) older folks who are also quietly appreciating the sound of the waves and the wind in the trees!! If you're respectful and considerate of others I can't see how you'd have a bad time at this wonderful place.

By Monday evening, gnats were flying around in every room and there were also ants in the kitchen sink and dead gnats in the refrigerator and freezer. Despite reporting it in person Tuesday morning to Lisa Giacona, with Ocean View Realty, pest control didn't come until Wednesday. Maintenance was only told about the bathroom, not the kitchen--the main issue. The infestation lasted our entire stay, making the kitchen unusable and sleep uncomfortable. Additionally, the unit was not clean on arrival: mildew in the shower, dirty appliances, and musty linens. The condo owner offered only a $250 refund, though we requested $650 (about half our stay), which we feel is more than reasonable given the circumstances.
