We did everything on-line: sign-up, input our information, pick the day and time available, then click to confirm. A few minutes later, we receive an email confirming our appointment. The day before the appointment, we get a text that says to check-in via text when we get there. We didn't need to sign-up or wait at the facility. Moments later, we are called in to get our blood drawn. It's super convenient. I give kudos to the person, or persons who created this scheduling portion. Thank you, Quest. You deserve 5 stars.

Then they said my appointment would be in an hour and a half. I repeated I am not the patient just dropping off a fresh sample . She couldn't get that through her head. Said I had to wait for my appointment. By then I am angry . She said they didn't had my clients insurance so would penalize her by only billing her directly. I repeated yhe insurance info was just put into the keyosk. She said they don't have info in their system, then what is the point of the keyosk? Also it was strange when my client was called to repeat the sample all info was available at that time. However, the operator says "walk-ins are welcome". So we walked in again, and the front desk still forces us to leave and set an appointment. It was so frustrating. So people, they lied saying walk-ins are welcome. You are not welcomed unless you've made an appointment, which is really frustrating to do. The best way to set an appointment is through online.

Each chair has it's own little grease/ dirt spot above it left by the thousands of people who sat there before you did....grosssssssss. Exactly, how many people does it take to leave a grease/ dirt spot on a wall? I just expect anything that has to do with health care to have a sanitary, clean, antiseptic feel and look to it. When I arrived no one was waiting, I did a walk in check in. The quest employee came out and said she'd be right with me when she was helping an elderly person out. While I was waiting a couple came in and checked in. They had an appointment at 3:00 and it was 2:45. The elderly lady was struggling to sign in for her husband's appointment and the quest employee came out and was extremely impatient with her. It was very rude. Then a lady came in with a drop off. A different quest employee took the drop off person, and then took the elderly man. The drop off customer left and the quest employee told me they are running behind schedule and could not take any walk ins. I said, wait so you're not going to do my blood work? There's no one here? And she said no, like I said we are behind schedule. By now it was 3:30, theres two quest employees and only one person being helped and no one waiting. I was so confused but Im too nice to argue so I just left. I've never had such a bad experience at any other quest location. This is the second time it's been awful.

To my surprise there was another patient waiting for the lab to open at 7am. I immediately got in line and quickly two more patients got in line behind me. Total of patients prior to opening =4. I can imagine how annoying this may be for an employee to get to work but the sweet girl working at the lab walked up to the door with a huge smile, greeted us and unlocked the door. We all checked in the kiosk and shortly after were called back one by one. I was in and out within 20 minutes. The lab employee was so gentle and had such a pleasant attitude! I'm so happy the visit turned out to be quick since I had to be at work. The young lady working at this lab deserves a raise for having to work all alone. She's an exceptional employee and I will be back thank to her and of due to my doctor's orders ;)

The dental staff continue to shine, even with the change of scenery. If you need your pearly whites shined to perfection, ask for Delanie, the dental hygienist. She'll make sure your teeth shine! The dentists are awesome and are second to none. Full disclosure: I've not had much of any interaction with the medical clinic in Bishop, since having made the choice to go to the Line Pine Clinic. One of the reasons is that they're consistently loaded up, while the staff at the Lone Pine Clinic accommodate my requests quite handily and easily. Also, a severe turnover in medical providers in Bishop also made it an easy choice for me to continue going to Lone Pine. As for the Pharmacy, it is only open to Indigenous American patients. So if you're able to take advantage of this as an Indigenous American, I highly encourage you to do so. As for why my rating has been scaled back, the recent change in management due to what some have termed "interfering board decisions" has not resulted in a positive, harmonious relationship, which is apparent in many of the Bishop staff, unfortunately. When the decision was made to eliminate the Preventive Medicine Department altogether, no public announcement was made nor were any patients consulted on the potential impacts. Instead, it was left to the remaining staffers to inform the patients affected. Such a hastily made and carried-out decision comes across as a sign of ineffectual management, something which often results after a turnover in management. It is with a hope for positive changes in the future that I write this.
