Marcelino is a true perfectionist, making sure that the fade and cut was proportionate, and ending with a edge up with a fresh razor blade. This is a true barber shop, so skip the "stylist" at the local sports clip, and come get a real hair cut from these professionals, you won't be disappointed and you'll leave feeling fresh and so clean clean.

Came here a few days after sportclips butchered my hair. My back was totally uneven and they cut…read morethe arch above my ear disturbingly high (just one ear of course?!?). So the time had come to stop going to the chain quick cuts place and get back to a real barber, long over due. So after driving by this barbershop for 4+ years I decided to stop by and see if they could correct my hair. Well I walked in explained my problem and they told me to have a seat..everyone was super nice. Tully (sp) fixed my hair up as much as he could and even if it's shorter then usual this time it will grow out even and they have secured a new regular..plus my son. It's so nice to go to a barber that knows what he is doing and doesn't rush. There is nothing that brings back memories like a warm shaving cream straight razor neck trim. It brings back memories of my late father back in Milwaukee and I'm sure to share that with my son. My only hope is this place doesn't change or close! A 10 star place!

He's been getting the "mommy special" since then but I'm the first to admit it's been looking pretty goofy and we've been on the lookout for the right hair stylist to fix it. Liz was Amazing and the perfect person for the job. His hair looks great, but more than that we loved that that there are little toys to play with while we waited, comfortable ample seating for mom/grandma/sister to wait, cartoons on the TV, and most importantly a stylist with patient, calm and friendly energy. My kiddo who screamed through his entire first haircut was calm, quiet and perfectly still for the entire (very efficient!) cut. I cannot speak more highly of this place and would recommend it without hesitation for any kids in the area, especially ones who may have been nervous elsewhere!

Let me be clear: the stylist herself was perfectly nice and friendly. Unfortunately, a pleasant…read morepersonality doesn't fix a bad haircut. I came in for a simple, standard men's cut; a low fade on the sides and just an inch taken off the top. I came armed with a visual library: three different photos to make sure we were on the same page. She nodded and said she understood completely. This, it turns out, was pure fiction. What I received is a botched job that bears zero resemblance to the request. Instead of a fade, I got a buzz cut. I now look like Ellen DeGeneres (which was not the goal) and it will take at least a month for this to grow out. But the real kicker wasn't just the haircut, it was the bizarre, surreal commentary that came with it. Mid-butchering, she told me that if I liked this haircut, I should take a picture of it so she could "recreate it next time." The irony was staggering. She couldn't work off the three clear photos I provided, but expected me to document her mistake for her own future reference? She followed this with the baffling philosophy that "it's always a risk" coming to a new place and that it "takes a couple haircuts to dial it in." This isn't a high-stakes relationship; it's a haircut. It is reasonable to expect basic competence the first time, especially for something so common. I left looking ridiculous and feeling ripped off. I will not be back to help her "dial it in." Avoid.

George's approach to the haircut was all about giving my son a very positive experience unless about giving him a Michigan Avenue Salon cut. The approach made perfect sense to me, my son had a wonderful time sitting in my lap for his first haircut. George was so gentle, so professional and so grandfatherly that my baby boy really enjoyed his first haircut. Not a tear was shed George's dog even comes visits customers but only before and after the appointment. During the cut the dog disappears. It was actually pretty impressive. The only reason it's getting four instead of five stars is that I hope it would be a cleaner Barber shop. We will be back, and I hope others will visit George as well.
