Ended up getting steak tacos which weren't really tacos. They place 3 tortillas down then meat, cheese, and avocado then place 2 tortillas on top. Not a fan of the tacos maybe I'll give their tortas a try since that's what they're known for.

I pass this place a lot off Copia and there's ALWAYS a line of working folks ordering their food. Today I was in the area and there was only 2 people so I quickly turned into the adjacent business (only street parking) and hopped out quickly to order. Apparently they were still busy and other customers were just smarter, ordering over the phone and then walking over to pickup. Service was super friendly and hearing that it was my first time there, the young lady explained the menu items to me and offered up a sample of their colita de pavo, their most popular item (turkey tails). Wow, was that fatty and moist! I ended up ordering the bistek (steak) and El Langunero (carnitas with a crap ton of avocados) fries and a Mexican Coke. It all come out to be like $17. They charge $1 for cards so just use cash if you can. The sandwich here is phenomenal. The torta bread, which is dry and tasteless by itself is transformed into a moist and flavorful background, absorbing all the juices from the ingredients into it's crevices. It held up and stayed intact as I ate. This is a working man's sandwich, nothing pretty or pretentious, it was stuffed with meat (the carnitas was perfectly crispy and fatty), onion, avocados, cream (mayo?), and tomato slices. It was amazing. I meant for it to be dinner, but took a bite to try in line waiting not pick up my son from school and I scarfed it down. I'm glad I have the other sandwich I was intending for hubby to eat (don't worry I got him a burrito). They have another location on Dyer, but this place is on the top of my list for friendly service and great sandwiches. If you're in the area, stop by, but call ahead, it's faster that way. #supportlocal Super Lonches (915) 843-3562 200 N Copia St, El Paso, TX 79905

I stopped by here and asked about customer favorites, which they were glad to share about. I settled on the carne asada tacos, which made for a satisfying lunch! The meat is tender and juicy with lots of flavor thanks to the generous serving of lime and cilantro. The salsa is so tasty, just the right amount of hot for me, and the plate rounds out nicely with the charro beans. The place looks super clean, the food came out relatively quickly, and I look forward to future meals here. I'm eager to pig out on their MX burger with a side of jamaica. There were a few of us so we were ordering a lot of different food to try out, don't judge. Lol Anyway I saw that they had tacos Al Pastor but by this point I wanted a hot dog. Lo and behold they had a Pastor Dog. Yes please! It took maybe a total of 5 minutes for them to get that hot dog to me. This thing is loaded with beans, nacho cheese, and pastor meat, underneath all of it is a grilled hot dog Frank and it is accompanied by a Chile torreado on the side. When I tell you that this was literally some of the best pastor meat I have ever had.... this was literally some of the best pastor I have ever had. Pastor, to me, is one of the styles of cooking meat that is indicative of whether a place is good, excellent, or sub par. Kind of like bbq places, I judge them based on the brisket and the pork ribs. Taquerias/ Mexican places are judged based on the Pastor, Carne Guisada (if they have it) and Carne Asada. Top notch Pastor. Come here to try it, it is amazing! Like literally so much so that, while I was still waiting for my pupusas, we went back and ordered mini tacos al pastor, papas locas and corn in a cup. As you can imagine the pastor tacos were phenomenal. The Papas Locas were interesting, I'd never had them before and it was basically potato chips in a cup, with Valentina hot sauce and I believe a little soy sauce and lime juice as well. I added the Japanese peanuts too. It was odd and interesting but I liked it and I find myself craving it as we speak. Here is where I break with my previous opinion of this place, the corn in a cup.... how do I say this gently? Okay you know what? No, I'm just going to say it, It was terrible. Like I don't even understand what was going on in this cup. There was a substance in this cup that I really don't know what it was. Was it cheese? Was it hominy? The broth was bland and had no flavor and I would not recommend this to anyone to try. Maybe it was just an off day for the corn gods? I'm hoping because everything else was so flavorful that this was an unpleasant surprise. Literally, we took two spoons of it and threw the rest away. All in all, I'd say, 4.5 stars, but since we can't do half stars, I'll go with 5 because that pastor was top notch.

You also get a baked potatoe with your orders which is still new to us. We had no idea how to eat it without trying to just mash up the inside with the butter they add to it and maybe some onions. Sorry but they were disgusting to say the least. I don't know who is writing these reviews but this place is so not 5 star worthy. I wouldn't even give it 2 stars for that matter. Let's start off with the tortillas, they are the store bought ones and apparently not the good kind. So bad in fact that my 9 year old who loves Tacos decided to throw them out and only eat the meat. I tasted one of his carne asada Tacos and not only were they extremely salty but they had a sweet flavor which I could not distinguish for the life of me. Maybe they put all the salt on his Tacos and skipped out on mine because they were basically flavorless. My Tacos Al Pastor had grilled onions and bell peppers on top which totally threw me off. They are supposed to have pineapple on top, I think all of us are aware of that. The meat was tough and hard. And even as I added some more toppings, salsa, lime, and salt thinking it would add flavor it didn't. Needless to say I didn't finish them and neither did my son. Won't be back to this place....
