When I noticed my watch's time was inaccurate and the secondhand was motionless, choosing to just walk in and see if I could get a new battery on the spot and, though I failed to get her name, I received the kindest, promptest and extremely affordable service with a beautiful smile, nonetheless! My body burns through watch batteries for some strange reason so, I'll be de-relegating my other beloved timepieces from their timeless dustbin, that being the farthest reaches of my sock drawer to hopefully be put back to use.

She didn't waste her time and $$ driving up to a store that was closed. She did say that they had just changed their social media...well you missed one. Walking down main street this shop caught my eye…read more It's located where the candle store used to be (a few of the candles are still sold at the Gait Mercantile) and was simply drazzled in pearls and other sparkly morsels. Incredibly tempted by the $18 freshwater pearl necklace on a silk ribbon I waffled between the glittery and the thoughtful. When would I ever wear pearls? Now, I really wish I had purchased a necklace of them, just to say I had one, but alas. No string of lovely for me that day. All in all, I'd love to return and may look into if they ship. Right away I spot a few cool wooden bowls that would be perfect for my rock collection. My friend spots some beautiful carnival glass and antique glassware. It is a pretty big store inside... The book collection in the back is enormous and one could spend all day back there, paperbacks 50 cents, hardcovers $1. Lots of household items at low prices. Most clothing 99 cents. Seen some jeans in a jewelry case marked $40 bucks! Mostly everything is reasonably priced, a few crazy prices noted not many though. I found some brand new petfood bowls from Boots & Barkley (Target) $2.99 each! Some nice crockery and serving bowls $1.99 each. They have some really good finds.
