I wish the bathtubs weren't so loud and squeaky when you walk on them and I wish the stairs were painted with a top coat, it's bothers me that we are paying close to 1.5k a month and the stairs look so rachet like more than half of the blue on the wood stairs is not there anymore so disappointing to see they don't care about the appearances and the outside lint of the rooms also looks ugly! I wish the patios had a gloss added to them as well to protect they look sad and a little discolored due to rain and snow. I love the oven it heats up quickly and the laundry machines are nicer!

After that, I sprayed everywhere and tried to solve the problem. But insects did not disappeared. After all, we gave them the notice about our move. I were not able to live in this apartment with our little baby. Because we were finding lots of insects every single day.Currently, they sent me the bill. At the bill, they are charging for rent( which we did not live), and also keeping my deposit. Manager saying we breach the contract. If we have to move we supposed to give them the notice earlier. We moved from this apartment because inside the apartment lots of insects. Instead of realizing their fault, still tryin to charge the bill.

Piper Lofts - I can picture two barstools at that island! Perfect for entertaining guests.

This may be a bit pre-mature considering I haven't moved into the apartment YET - but I would like…read moreto believe I'm a pretty thorough person who knows what to look for when considering a place to live lol. Here are some great things that have made me unquestionably give Piper Lofts a 5/5 rating! 1. They have a very secure parking garage. Moving from OKC to KC - I'm used to living in a house with a garage. I feel very secure where I currently live and that was a major factor when looking for a new place to live! in comparison, other apartments I toured or even just looked at online, lacked very close, secure parking. OKC is a smaller city than Kansas City, so I'm not really sure what to expect, but this was high on my list of priorities. 2. They are pet friendly. This isn't just a simple statement - a lot of places are pet friendly...but when I say pet friendly, I mean...the floors above you AND below you are all entirely made of concrete. No one will hear a fat cat or a rowdy dog running around! 3. THE LOCATION? Amazing! 4. The property manager I have been working with is amazing. I had a generally horrible experience working with other property managers at other locations - I move to Kansas City in July, and on a whim, I reached out to Tiffany, the property manager at Piper Lofts, on a SUNDAY. She was extremely helpful and communicative. I understand that we all need time to decompress on the weekends outside of our jobs, but the fact that this woman was able and willing to speak with me on a Sunday goes so far with me. 5. The application process: super easy, well written, and very clear. I like this. Nothing felt sketchy about the process. 6. Aside from the ease of signing the lease (typically I wouldn't do this before viewing the property in person, but after reading good reviews and knowing about the parking situation, I was sold) - Piper Lofts was willing to let me drive up to Kansas City on a Saturday to just come view the apartment and the property. I forget the other property managers name, but she was equally as great as Tiffany - she was new to the job from what I picked up, but was just as informative as someone who had been working there for 4 years! It was really nice to be accommodated for in this way and for someone to really speak to you like a person. 7. Guys...this apartment complex/community is GORGEOUS. The apartments are unbelievable. You get an amazing view, the exposed brick vibe with huge windows, amazing amenities, a VERY secure building, and a nice parking garage IN A GREAT LOCATION. Overall - compared to my experience with touring/dealing with other apartment complexes/communities in Kansas City - this has been the smoothest process I've encountered. Definitely look into this place if you can! Thank you Tiffany! Tips: "Tips" might translate to "cons" to some, but this is just here to help you guys make your decision: 1. They do limit access on the rooftop pool from what I've seen - don't be mad at management about that if you see a bunch of non-residents there: be annoyed with current residents. Limiting access is nice because it is a smaller roof top pool, but it is a very nice one. 2. If you're moving to an apartment higher than the 2nd floor, plan accordingly. The elevators aren't very big - so it would probably be best to bring a sectional/easy to move furniture with you (I will be following this post up with some pictures/recommendations of "easy to move furniture" to help) Again, it's been too early to tell what my experience as a resident will be like fully..but I already know I made an excellent choice

There couldn't be a more peaceful and relaxing place for us to live with our new puppy during this time or some other. This community is everything you'd need for an elite lifestyle. From their concierge to the fitness center, my husband and I love everything. I love the beautifully crafted wooden cabinets and the magnificent kitchen island. My husband and I cook together and it's so amazing to make delicious food in a gourmet kitchen! The lighting is just perfect around the house and we love love love the spacious patio! We love it all! We follow their facebook page for regular updates and particularly enjoy their posts. Recently, they had a table set up for dog parents to collect some treats for their furries and I thought it was a great idea! Their New year goodies and champagne setup was very cute! Their monthly newsletters are very informative and I love the swimming pool area. The maintenance is top-notch and very prompt. The management always reaches out after a maintenance call to check if everything was according to expectations. The community outdoors is maintained beautifully. The shrubs, trees, grass and pavements are all maintained quite well. We love walking around the community with our little puppy and she loves it too! One feature that's very noteworthy and probably never seen in any other apartment community is the presence of only one large trash compactor as compared to multiple overflowing trash cans. I love this because I don't like smelling trash while walking around. There's a wonderful trail all around the community and it's a great run or a walk when you want to experience the outdoors when not in the mood for hitting the gym especially during the pandemic. This is an amazing destination to call home and will be for a considerable amount of time. When it comes to quality, Price Brothers Management does not hold back and we are very happy residents of the Prairie Creek Apartments in the beautiful city of Lenexa.

My wife and I have absolutely loved our time here. Pros: 1. Units are the most thoughtful and functional we have ever been in. They are not the highest end finishes, but that was not as important to us as kitchen size, floor plan, storage space, etc which they nailed. There is more cabinet space and storage space in our Savanna unit than all of our previous apartments combined. Plus, the prices feel extremely reasonable for everything you get 2. Community feeling is great. The apartments feel more like a neighborhood than apartments. We are always seeing people and chatting with people while walking our dog. The staff is the most welcoming we have ever experienced, and they truly care about the property and their tenants. 3. Maintenance - Our maintenance requests have always been handled quickly and the maintenance crew is very friendly and knowledgeable. 4. Amenities - The gym is the nicest apartment gym we have been in, and has plenty of equipment and space and is well taken care of. The pool area and lounge areas are also great and we used them multiple times this past summer. They also have a free power washer and vacuum for your car which we have never seen before and love. Con 1. There is only one con I have, but I know it is being worked on as we speak. They did not have an ability to do an application or sign documents online, so we had to be present to sign and my wife had to have hers notarized as we were moving from out of state. Once they are able to implement a system like Docusign or something similar, everything will be great. Thank you Prairie Creek for being an awesome place to live

Around 9:30PM, I was delivering a package to a customer who lived here. As I was trying to enter the gate a black car stopped in front of me, Blocking me from entering. He then proceeded to get out and walk up to my car and ask me what I was doing there and proceeded to tell me that I didn't belong here. I told him I was delivering to a customer. He then asked me for the address but I told him I couldn't give him that information because I didn't know who he was and didn't want to give out the customers address if I didn't know who he was. He then proceeded to say he lived there and was apart of management. But I don't know that. Anybody can say they are management. I did not want to put the customer at risk. I told him that but he didn't believe me.. Shortly after he called the police. Police showed up and VERIFIED THAT I WAS DELIVERING TO A CUSTOMER IN THE COMPLEX!! But he doesn't stop there... I entered the complex and it was dark so I passed up the customers address, I started to back up and he proceeded to stare me down as I was looking for the customers address. He proceeded to tell me "THIS ISNT THE ADDRESS YOU GAVE THE POLICE." He continued to stare me down as I was delivering as well. I am a young 23 year old black woman just trying to make extra money and it was already dark. I felt violated, racially profiled, and creeped out!! ILL NEVER DELIVER THERE AGAIN!!

Location 4/5 * Being in the Prairie Village area is good. You aren't too far from other businesses or the downtown Kansas City area which I enjoyed. You are close to restaurants and stores as well. Apartment 3/5 * My unit was older, which means the HVAC system is outdated. This unfortunately became costly due to it not being able to cool or heat properly. * I had to make several calls to maintenance in regard to the HVAC system. My thermostat would stay on for a long time, but never turn off, which created high expenses. Staff 3/5 * At the beginning of my stay, I felt like they were good and attentive to my issues. However, as time passed, I felt like the staff began to decline in servicing as my emails were not being responded to in a timely manner which I did not appreciate. * Maintenance workers performed their jobs great and I appreciated their communication and hard work. Amenities 3/5 * As stated previously, my unit was older, so it did not have updated appliances. * There was no microwave inside the unit, or a washer and dryer. However, they did have a washer and drying machine on site around different locations in the apartment area which I thought was nice originally, but I noticed they were not very clean and the expenses began to add up very quickly. * The HVAC system did not keep up to expected regular temperature. The temperature outside would be around 65°F and my unit would not reach 75°F. * The stove worked great and heated properly. * The refrigerator seemed to have issues with cooling and food would go bad somewhat quick. * The storage room has great space and you can add several items in there which was nice. * My unit came with a patio that has good space. Other issues: * My upstairs neighbor would smoke cigarettes and it would carry down in to my apartment which gave me headaches. I informed the landlord and it took several emails to finally get the issue resolved. * Around two months before leaving the apartment, there were several dog droppings on the ground and that became very disappointing and frustrating. It became a daily occurrence and nothing was done about it. Overall 3/5. My experience here was decent. I am thankful I was able to stay at this apartment complex. I made it work with what was provided to me, however, there were those negative instances that unfortunately harmed my experience. If you are looking for a good rate on an apartment, I would recommend coming here. It's in a good area and you pay a good price as well for the unit. Thank you again to the landlord for allowing me the opportunity to stay here.

We made it a year in a one bedroom before upgrading to a one bedroom with a study. We only upgraded for the extra room and it had a concrete deck, which meant it was legal to use a grill. The office staff were nice, but sometimes bitchy. We had others complain to us more than we had complaints ourselves. Didn't have much need to ever talk to them aside from when they found the cat we were hiding. The maintenance staff were extremely nice and quick. We called in for stuff ranging from a broken dryer to water leaks/mold in the ceiling, and I can't recall it ever going past a day before they came out. The complex itself is made up of individual buildings of 12 units, all surrounded by trees. 6 units have a wooded view (which costs extra) and the other 6 face the parking lot. The top floor apartments have vaulted ceilings, which also cost extra. The complex is very well lit and feels secure. Most of the tenants seemed to be young professionals or med students. We had a police officer in our building and another in the building next to us. We received our deposit back after we moved to another unit and when we moved out of the complex. My wife even lit the counter on fire in the second unit, but I guess they didn't mind the burn marks. We even received our pet deposit back despite the fact that we didn't tell them we had a cat, and thus didn't pay pet rent for two years. The only complaint I can think of is that since it is a complex of young professionals and med students, there are a large number of douche bag tenants, but I can't blame Hillsborough for it. I would recommend a unit with a view of the pool for any lonely males in the Mission area. Complete skinfest in the summer.

From the first…read moreemail we sent to them, Alicia and the team have been extremely quick to respond and very transparent. They made the moving in process as smooth as the bottle of Rieger they gave us as a welcome gift. Once we got moved in we really got to experience the team at work. They are constantly adding "Grand Perks" which connect us to the community and local businesses. They also have been doing raffles to keep the community engaged (even more so now because I'm writing this in a pandemic :) and ultimately, they treat the people here like they would want to be treated which shows in a ton of little ways. The building is always clean thanks to their full time housekeeper Melissa, and Chris, the maintenance supervisor, is probably one of the nicest people we know. As for the amenities, they are even better than they look on their social media. In this department they excell past any other property in KC, easily. The dog part is not just a convenient place to take your dogs out but it's a place where people can get to know each other. Our dogs have never been happier and healthier as they can socialize with other dogs in the community every time they go out. We've noticed a big change in their personalities and it's why so many people have pups in this building! Other buildings you have to walk across the street or (in our past experience) into a small rock-pit which can be miserable at times for both owner and pups. And they've got a professional grade Dog Wash area and people that can help you out in a pinch if you can't get home or you just have to be gone for a day(s) and need someone to watch over them. We also work from home so having so many different and unique options to work in the building is AMAZING. Our family and friends love it when we host parties because it's a unique experience when they come over. Overall, the people who live here are also just friendly which is a big difference from other communities we've lived in where people don't even talk to each other or acknowledge their presence. Oh yeah, and our apartment is freaking awesome. The apartments have great views, new appliances and wonderful finishes. We never hear neighbors through the walls or hallways. From top to bottom, everything here has been well thought out throughout the building, the people who own and operate it are truly amazing at what they do and we've never felt more happier and carefree about where we live than we do now. If you're considering living here, you're making a good choice! Now good luck leaving here! :)
