Topics range from health, travel, cookery, fiction to biography. They are also separated into these varying topics to make nosey-ing easier. AND they are all at charity shop prices £1 for thinner books, £2 for thicker ones. The odd hard backs are £3. Brillo! My finds de jour included David Sedaris and Bill Byson at £2 each.. Brittens Music store in West Byfleet is a great local music shop and probably one of the best in…read morethe Woking/Byfleet areas. It's a large store which stocks instruments, accessories, sheet music and CDs. Half of the store is dedicated to classical instruments and the second-half to keyboards and guitars. The store will stock most basic instruments for immediate sale. They will order other instruments in, but, if you're looking for something better than stock you'd be better going somewhere where you can try before you order. The store offers a hire and buy scheme for those just starting out and who are unsure whether they will want to purchase an instrument. A repair service is offered which will be good enough for most school grade instruments. Most of the music for the common exam syllabi is stocked although you'll find less for the higher grades. Staff are generally knowledgeable although they tend to be jack of all (instruments) rather than specialists. Music lessons for keyboard and guitar are available in store and come recommended. Lists of tutors are available for other instruments.

Basically what it is: they rescue surplus food from businesses in the area and distribute it among the community for a super-discounted price: £4.50 for a shopping cart that was filled to the brim. Granted, you don't have much choice and some of the food isn't at its peak anymore, but I have a brain and I can sort out (or cut out) what's not so nice anymore. Integral to their operation are the volunteers who are your shopping companions: they go through the aisles with you and point out what you can take and how much. It sounds a bit prescriptive at first, but I understand that otherwise some folks would go bonkers and grab everything! Thank you for doing this!

Everything is reasonably priced and the staff are very friendly, going above and beyond what you'd expect. I'd definitely recommend this place to students needing to furnish a flat, there are some good bargains to be found if you look around and the prices have some room to manoeuvre, especially if you're getting a few bits. They offer delivery on large items through their van drivers, and also do house clearances for people who are getting rid of furniture.

The British heart foundation at Sidcup has 2 shops, one selling the normal array of clothes, bric a…read morebrac and dvds etc and the other selling electricals, household goods and furniture. Both shops are well laid out. The clothes are high end prices and a bit too dear for me but the furniture shop is amazing and has so many bargains I can't list them all here but it's easy to pick up a tv for £20, a dishwasher for £50 and a bookcase for under a tenner. The upstairs is not accesible for wheelchair users or anyone who can't climb stairs. The shop can be accessed for the high street or the best bet is to park in Morrisons and walk down the stairs as the car park is behind the shop.
