I've noticed that at other spaces the members interact over specific, shared interests. But at Haven, because of its layout and atmosphere (there's a lounge in the front with an open vibe), members chat casually, and often the conversation goes deep, with both participants receiving great value (advice, insights, referrals, etc.) You have options at Haven: You can do open co-working, sitting in various open spaces, or you can rent a desk in a shared office, or a single office. You can co-work during the week, for just one day a month, or 24/7. And the conference rooms are well-appointed. Visitors love them! Owners Danielle and Melissa have added great perks for members. Among them are childcare (with Sitting Made Simple), occasional treats from the area's best bakers and catering chefs, and access to manicures, dry cleaning pickup/dropoff services, use of the address for business mail, and Haven-run events on many different topics (in addition to the member-run events). I called to make sure they had an open desk and they sent me the invoice via email. Super easy to pay and they send the entrance code, Wi-Fi info and all other info you may need via email. I paid for a day pass (great value!) and was greeted at the door. Complimentary coffee and snacks are in the kitchen, with two levels of coworking space. There are couches if that's your vibe, desks or private offices. The space itself is GORGEOUSLY decorated and there is natural light everywhere! It was quiet and was just what I was looking for. I am not sure if the venue supplied the decor or not, but the entirety of the venue, even down to structure of the actual building, is just really pretty. I was surprised it only took the cocktail hour after the ceremony for the staff (of whom was very inconspicuous... Had I known about this place 4 years ago when I was getting married, I probably would have had my wedding reception here. Ah, the Fawcett Center. I used to work here 35 years ago, in the auditorium, as my work study job…read more We had events all the time. WOSU was based here, in the end section by the auditorium. There was a hotel, and a fancy restaurant. I learned a lot, and goofed off a lot. Today, the building has been renovated. No more hotel- athletic offices I think. No big restaurant- a small cafe, where the hotel's front desk was. No more WOSU. It's very clean and new, inside and out. Doesn't look like the auditorium gets used much, and the WOSU end looks empty. Of course, that is my impression from a quick nostalgia visit. They might be busy on weekends. There are conference rooms and meeting areas. Looks like they do catering for events. Hopefully the space is being used enough to keep it going. I saw a few students and staff, on a weekday. I've heard you can park here for events at the Schott. Be careful- all the parking is pay or permit.

I had known a little about this spot before but I had only seen pictures on Instagram. I reached out and connected with the owner Melissa. We organized a walk through and after seeing the space in person, we all agreed it was perfect. For starters, there's plenty of free street parking nearby. We had about thirty guests and no one had a problem finding a space. Even if we did, they have arrangements with nearby businesses to offer even more free spots. Secondly, they have two entrances but the gates from the courtyard are definitely my favorite way to enter. The courtyard is stunning! There's tons of seating, a shaded area, and it's decorated very tastefully. Once you walk in you're greeted with an art deco vibe. The kitchen area includes a marble countertop, a giant sink, fridge, and coffee maker. The seating on the first floor is plentiful and varies. Our guests really love the tall booth seating. There are also two restrooms and a small quarters area around the corner for prepping and storage and whatnot. Lastly, they do offer coworking spaces upstairs and they are fabulous! I would highly recommend this space for any sort of event. Whether it be a shower, wedding, or whatever your heart desires, you'll be happy with the easy process and your guests will love the unique Gatsby-like vibes.
