Fortunately, Jos A Bank was running a special; buy one suit, get three suits free, so I took advantage of the offer. Granted, the one suit was $995, which I would never have paid for a single suit, but getting four at that price wasn't too bad. The staff were very helpful and I was quite surprised that they had several suits in my size (50L). Doug Sauerwein was my salesperson, and he was very knowledgeable and professional. He marked my suits for tailoring just the way I wanted. With the tailoring on all four suits, the "traveler's crease" (a permanent crease on the trousers), and the tax, my total was $1,325.52, which averages just over $330 each. I was promised the suits on 20 May, but was surprised when I got a call today, a full week early, that my suits were ready to be picked up. They fit perfectly and the tailoring looks very professionally done. Besides the suits, they have a great selection of shirts, sports coats, shoes (including Johnston & Murphy), socks, belts, ties, suspenders...just about anything you could need and a quality haberdasher should have. I am very pleased with my experience and the professionalism that the staff exhibited. If you're in need of some fine, professional clothing, definitely give them a try.

I recently purchased a suit from this store. I was in a time crunch because of an event that I…read moreneeded to attend, and because I had gained some weight after having had surgery recently. So I went this JAB because it was closer to my home (which was an hour and a half away). The initial purchase went relatively smooth, they fitted me for size but had to order the correct color. The sales lady kept telling me that only the slacks would need to be hemmed and that anyone in the store could do it...no problem. When I went back four days later... big problem. Jacket was too big, slacks to small in the waist and crotch... but the right fabric and color. No problem, the seamstress says, she can fix it. We do the fitting and come back three days later to pick it up...problem. Jacket fits well, the slacks fit ok, but the rear pockets are moved so far forward they look like I have four front pockets. I didn't notice it until after I had returned home and put the suit on for the event. Now, I'm not prone to writing reviews unless something is really good or in this case really bad. Here I am $700 and change to buy the suit, another $60 for tailoring and 9 hours drive time (three trips, 1.5 hours each way). Needless to say, I ain't happy. Not sure how I going to handle it at the moment, just finished the event and still steaming.

Had sent a pretty straightforward question via Instagram via shipping which was met with with a randomly rude reply, accusing me of insulting their shipping policy as well as not having shopped with them before. This transitioned into them continuing to accuse/make up things, like I was asking them to "eat the costs" of a hypothetical lost package or different insured courier. This is all coming from me not wanting them to use uninsured USPS shipping on a 700$ item piece of jewelry or "Route" which for those of you that don't know is a useless 3rd party shipping insurer. It's really pathetic how a grown adult, who handles their own social media, conducts themselves as the face of the business. Minimal responsibility taken: "oh, I read your question too early in the day", blaming anyone but themselves: "I'm having such a rough day with customer chargebacks", and worst of all, the fake apology: "I'm sorry you felt this way." Most hilariously of all, after telling me to "shop elsewhere", owner continues to message me asking about advice about how to improve certain aspects of the business. I mean, if you you want to interpret my question on your shipping policy as insulting, you may want to first modify it considering I paraphrased the written word-for-word policy as stated on the website. It's hard to support small business when people like this who run small businesses are completely oblivious how to act and continually play the victim and take zero responsibility for their actions.
