Great prices, just wish they were more reliable honestly. Half the time something goes wrong with my order and it really shouldn't be happening that often. sometimes the logistics get a bit...wonky for a nice way to put it. For example stuff is sold out but you're still able to buy it on the site. One time we got there and they said two edibles we got were sold out - not a biggie it happens. But then they swapped them out with two edibles worth $6-$7 less and didn't tell us they weren't the same price. Also it was replaced with an espresso flavored treat - and I don't drink or enjoy the taste of coffee. So instead of $16 worth of edibles we got $10 worth of a flavor I don't like. since they were $5 each when we bought $8 ones, why they didn't give us $6 back or even throw in another $5 one to make it closer to the $16 we paid - I dunno. Seems like an easy and obvious fix - who would willingly pay $16 for $10 worth of product with less medicine? We had to call them and get a credit out into our account for next time. Which meant coming back out of our way again. Another time they just straight up forgot to throw an eighth we got into the bag at all. Like we paid for two and only one was there. They reviewed the camera and admitted it was their mistake. So again we had to come back because of their error. Or even when we ordered 10 of something on a great deal and then got a phone call saying 'oh those items are cheap promo only if you buy another, and I can only do two of them since that's how many of the other product you bought' even though it doesn't say that anywhere in the website or description. So the store is great, the workers are great, the product is great - but sometimes little stuff gets overlooked and/or not thought about. However I notice the little 'quirks' or mistakes like that never seem to accidentally happen in the *consumers* favor - I've never had extra item thrown in by accident or been undercharged for example. Only ones missing or replaced with a cheaper item when stuff like that comes up. Or last time I tried to rush there in traffic between work sites and only had a few mins to get to my next session. Only to find a tiny note in the door saying 'back in 10 mins' even though hours say they're open 11:30-7 straight - apparently all 3 or 4 workers went on break at the same time or something? There's always multiple people in there, how did all of them go somewhere at the same time on a weekend after they've only been open a couple hours? No idea, but ONCE AGAIN I had to go back on my own time and gas money to fix their mistake. This seems to be happening wayyyyy too often and I'm not sure how many times I'll be back anymore. Staff masked, limited entry into store, good on that. Budtender does excellent job exploring menu with you. Be a great customer and at least know what you want and they can help find something to fill your needs. Great selection of products at outlet pricing. Budtender was also very helpful with dates on products and suggestions for different items. Store is small but they have more than enough to choose from. I love this place and I have always had great experience with those who work there but I just had my first bad experience. the person that helped me was so rude and made me feel bad for asking to look at other options. they said "are you looking for cheaper options is that why you keep asking me to scroll" in a really rude way. The Hook is amazing! They opened at the perfect time since funds have been low all around due to Covid and their prices are the best. They always have something in my price range and the customer service is always top notch. I love that I can order online and it'll be ready in like 10-15 minutes. Pick up is a breeze, only ever takes me like 2 minutes to pop in and grab my order. Once I almost didn't make it by closing time so they called to confirm I was coming or to see if I'd like them to hold on to it until the next day. That's amazing! Customer service is a big deal for me and so far, they have the best of any local dispensary. Always friendly, always efficient. My only tiny complaint is that I wish they had more flower options! There is always something I want, don't get me wrong, but sometimes they have only a handful of flower choices. Besides that, all the product I've received has been great! read more

I've heard good things about this place, was excited to try it out. The lady with pink hair decided she wasn't gonna sell to me because of she didn't like my temporary ID from the dmv (presented alongside my expired photo ID). I have had zero issues using a temp ID at 3 other local dispensaries in Santa Cruz and even have a medical card but the lady wanted a reason to turn me away I suppose. "store policy." Feels strange for me to buy herb, but when I do, I usually go here. They have a lil deal called " Fresh Cuts Fridays" where you can get a 1/4 of indoor smalls for $25. Super good deal. Other than that, the selection isn't super amazing and I really wish they would carry the Absolute Xtracts gummies because they are insanely delicious. Anywhoo, they have solid pricing all the time and it's my favorite dispensary in the SC area. read more

Bought 4 carts they where all defective. The manager told me I should come back to talk to the other manager. Came back same manager, won't help because my receipt is too old( it wasn't) refused to help us. We came back to a different manager. Just as rude wouldn't help us except exchange us for the same defective carts. They then blamed me for choosing a cheap cart, but took no responsibly for selling a product that doesn't work. So now I'm out the money for the product and gas for three trips. Literally felt like buying drugs off someone in an alley. read more

I am a new CannaMed patient. I have been going to the hook outlet once every month since Oct.2020. On all my orders they overcharge on tax, so the prices listed are not quite your total. the other dispensaries I am a med patient and still was charged excise tax. not sure if that is ok since the hook spouts outlet prices" (Low prices) , But I have found almost the same products elsewhere for less $$. so in hindsight i have since gone elsewhere to get my meds at cheaper prices. read more

Somethings that are bought here don't even have descriptive labels. You can buy carts but you can't buy batteries ? Selling these things that aren't returnable even without opening the product or because you have a receipt. Save your money and pay a little more for better quality products. Johnny, Johnny, Johnny. This guy is the manager and seriously needs anger management classes or needs a different job. I made an order and one of the bud tenders slipped the wrong items into my bag and being BLIND I could not tell until I got home. I called Johnny and while he had me on the phone he looked up my ID and looked at the cameras and made a statement that I'm not blind if he can see me walking to my car and driving it away. I informed the police impersonator that I'm legally blind without my glasse and it says that on my ID. None of these behaviors of Johnny's is ok. His manager give me and exchange for free and let us keep the wrong items also. Honestly that's the least they should do. Johnny is a real scumbag and loves to push the boundaries. Later that month I made a pre-order online and when we arrived at 7 exactly (closing). Johnny knew who we were so he seriously made my gf beg for service through the locked store front. That takes a special kind of person Johnny. Watch them do nothing about this review also. I hope Johnny is replaceable. read more
