We had SO much fun at The Hook in AC! I'd never seen a show in AC before, but I saw Spiegelworld's show Absinthe in Vegas and loved it. The talent in this show was top notch! There was singing, dancing, comedy, magic and circus acts. The humor is definitely raunchy, so if that's not your thing, I would skip this show. We loved the two hosts and all the various acts! We were in the third row on the side and could see everything. There really isn't a bad seat in the house! They also have cocktails and servers walking around, as well as a bar where you can walk up and order. We had espresso martinis and they were good, but not great. I would probably get a mixed drink next time. Also, at the end they gave everyone a discount code for a half off drink at Superfrico, which is the restaurant next door. When we tried to go right after the show, they were closed! We asked about the deal and they just said sorry, it's closed. We should have gotten a voucher or something to come back at a different time since it was not smart for them to offer this, and then be closed. Other than that, we had a fun night! It's definitely a more Vegas style experience and a welcomed addition in AC!

There is no food service at The Hook, but you can have an amazing meal at Superfrico before the performance. They do serve drinks here before show time but the seats are so tight I do not know how that works if you are landlocked by others. When the show starts it is time to kick back and enjoy the spectacle. If you are seated anywhere with direct access to the stage (or even a seat in back) you either will or might be part of the show. So what is The Hook? It is part comedy, part magic, part acrobatic, part freak show, part burlesque, and part The Love Boat. Don't like some vulgar jokes (some with physical comedy thrown in), then don't get a ticket. Was it really that bad? There was one warm-up act I saw for Dave Chappelle once. I'm not going to mention any names, and I do not even know who her name was! It felt vulgar to just be vulgar. It was uncomfortable. It was not funny. The Hook, however, was a riot. If this sounds good, then book a ticket. Come here. Enjoy Superfrico for dinner too. You will feel like you left Atlantic City and got transported to, well, pick somewhere else that's fun, for the time you are there.

Loved it. It's like the circus came to town without the animals. One talented act after the other. Performers were sensual without being sexual. Perfect balance of an interactive experience and staged shenanigans. The "captain" was absolutely amazing. Great rapport with audience as well as a confident, talented actor. She sang amazingly and her final number will leave your jaw dropped. All of the performances will have you excited about their talent and showmanship. Dangerously exciting. Drinks are a bit pricey but it is Atlantic City. Come. Enjoy. Support these amazing acts. You'll be happy you did.

Show at Caesars Atlantic City The Las Vegas style show was very entertaining. It started with awesome pole dancing, comedy, magic, acrobatics and juggling act with a twist. It was very entertaining! If you buy the ticket on line, service fee will be charged. I called the number on the website and got the tickets without any fees.

IM ECCENTRIC ! I am Unique ; I am open minded and l also love a great Laugh..this show wow oh wow ; definitely ticked all my eccentricities! The cast was great and oh so talented ..I loved the juggling act ! It was very interactive with the audience ..(don't choose the front row ;if your shy) ..they had a bar behind the seats..very quant and intimate ..highly provocative. This isn't for any prudes or people not in support of sexuality .. the acts (all of them were amazing) ...I can say I had great seats. Highly affordable ..AGAIN NOT FOR THE CONSERVATIVES..but for a great time ..lasted around and hour in an half ..I loved it..went on a Wednesday ..and copped great under sixty dollar seats ...no disappointments here

This show was a must if you are in Atlantic City. It was a fantastic show, the crew is super talented, great vibes and I was so entertained. The theater was really cozy, intimate, and beautiful. As we walked in, there was attendants that showed us to our seats and walked us over there. They had menus of drinks and food from the bar. We opted out because our little side table was enough to hold two drinks not food. We came here for the show and was so impressed. Will have to come and try Superfrisco. Do yourself a favor and book the show - we laughed a lot, was wowed and such an experience you won't forget!

To give this show anything less than 5 stars seems like highway robbery! Everyone here is talented! I'm beyond impressed! I saw this show last year and loved it so much that I brought back a friend to see it. Although many of the jokes are the same, and some performers are still around, it's just so entertaining and impressive to watch. I can't imagine coming into town to visit and not seeing the show- that's how impressive it is! I hope it sticks around for a long time!!!

7pm dinner at Superfrico for tableside mozz and halibut. Then watched the 9pm show. Takes "dinner and a show" for date night to the next level! Seen it twice in past year and had FUN each time. We watched it for date night the first time and took friends the second time. Splurged on the front row. Worth it to see it all SO CLOSE! There was not one slow moment. Every act was so professional and perfect timed. You can tell the performers gave it all for both performances.

I got a last minute ticket to the show and decided to check it out. Really went in with no expectations or awareness of the show itself except o knew it was new and heard some good things. I thought the show was VERY humorous and funny. They read their audience very well. I laughed out loud a few times and I rarely do that. The talent is very good. I was very impressed with the jugglers who did skip a beat and were 100% on point during the show. The overall storyline is campy, but it works well for the location and timeframe. This is an ADULT variety burlesque act so go with an open mind. Leave your "uptight feelings" at the door or just stay home. Drinks in the theatre were good, the service was great. The theatre itself is small and personal. ANY seat in the house is a good one. There are no dead spots and they manage to keep your attention the entire time. Special shout outs to the Captain-great voice, Seaman Spunk and the magician is a good one. I think the cackler from OKLAHOMA missed her show at the old Mahal L

This is actually a really good show with very talented performers. Great singing and dancing all around and goes by really quick for 90 minutes. By the end you kind of wish they would do a few more songs. Where else could you see the talents of Justin Timberlake, Liza Minelli, Michael Jackson, and Elvis all on the same stage? Each performer was terrific and kept in character the whole time. You could tell that each were professionally trained singers, and each did their personas spot-on in full costume. Plus, there was some interaction with the audience and a good amount of humor involved too. It was a lively and fast paced show that takes place in a small theater located at Bally's. Good view from any seat and the sound system is perfect. Sure, the audience had an older crowd feel to it, but it was mixed in with younger too, and all seemed to enjoy themselves here. You leave this show smiling and the price is right too. An added bonus is that I hit a $1000 payout on a slot machine before we headed out of Bally's! Elvis has left the building! Thank you! Thank you very much!

Aloha! The perfect…read moretype of Cirque show to see if a person has never seen one and does not know if they would like this type of entertainment. At a little over an hour long and a mere $20 it's a bargain for this highly enjoyable show and a great low cost way to check one out if in AC. This show features a Polynesian theme and includes fire eaters, dancers and acrobats performing death defying feats with a fun luau vibe. The cast is top notch and performs many Cirque du Soleil stunts such as the wheel of death, spinning from ropes above the stage and flying above the audience, feats of strength, hoola hoop craziness, aerialists, contortionists, and the Cirque humor throughout. All this occurs with terrific backround music performed by a few talented musicians - a drummer/percussionist and a lady who played at least three stringed instruments and a flute - setting a perfect atmosphere to accompany each performance. It's kind of like a mini-Cirque show. Fun, energetic, humorous, not overly long, and easy on the wallet. Definitely worth the time to check out if in Atlantic City. Performaces run from summer until end of Sept, and then starting up again in Nov. As the show itself is on the short side it left us wanting to see more and wish it was longer, but was still a great entertainment value. Aloha!

This was described on the show's website as a "Cirque du Soleil-type show."…read more The ONLY thing they have in common is the word "cirque." Let me make this very clear: Cirque Polynesian is NOT produced by Cirque du Soleil, and has no connection with Cirque du Soleil, but CP evidently wants to give you the impression that they are affiliated without blatantly lying about it. Only once before in my life have I felt such despair at the complete waste of an hour I can never get back. This show had absolutely NO redeeming qualities as entertainment AT ALL: EVERYTHING was done on the ultra-ultra cheap and was totally amateur. The sets and props looked like any old crap the producers found in a motley collection of junkyards and basements (I swear that a platform used by a guy who balanced atop some tubes while juggling was my grandma's kitchen table from 1955 with some tinsel wrapped around the legs!). The costumes were uniformly cheap and cheesy, and didn't even match, as though the performers were given some general guidelines re what to wear and were then left to bring in their own outfits. There was no continuity to the show and the transitions from act to act were jarring and choppy; it seemed the producers just hired whoever was available with whatever kind of act and then simply threw them together with no eye towards making any kind of a cohesive show. The music was pedestrian and mostly NOT live: the drummer may have been playing live, but the woman strumming guitars, ukuleles, etc., was definitely NOT playing, as a few times she stopped strumming while the guitar part (or whatever) continued. No, she was just there for sex appeal. And that was the extent of the "live band," two pieces, although the music track had a horn section, etc. I'd guess the budget for the whole sorry, godforsaken mess - costumes, sets, props, lights, sound, music, salaries, etc. - was around $11.82. Perhaps a little less. You'd find a more professional production at any high school variety show, and you'd have a better time, even if it wasn't your kid onstage. I don't like to disparage the performers because they do try, and I can't blame them for taking a paying gig, so let me just say the overall level of talent matched the rest of the production. This show was a truly dreary and depressing affair; I'd probably have had more fun ripping up the $30 per ticket and flushing it down the toilet. One of our party had never seen a real Cirque du Soleil show; immediately after this one ended, I begged her not to let this horror scare her off from seeing the beauty and wonder of a real Cirque show (sadly for me, none of my friends are talking to me right now, but I guess I deserve it: this was my idea. I have a lot to atone for.) The best thing about the whole mess was the end - and I mean AFTER the finale. When it was FINALLY over, after an hour that felt like THREE, what it left me wanting was to see some enjoyable, uplifting, professional entertainment: preferably a real Cirque du Soleil show. None to be had in the area right now, alas (one coming next summer, though). If Cirque du Soleil were a five-star gourmet dinner prepared by a world-class chef, Cirque Polynesian would be a moldy bologna sandwich festering forgotten in the back of your refrigerator - but the moldy sandwich might leave a better taste in your mouth than Cirque Polynesian.
