Jamey Berhmann was a lifesaver! She helped me with a mini-refrigerator. She was very kind and understanding. She listened to my story and plight that happened when a new 26 cu.ft. refrigerator was attempted delivery twice already. We were down to no refrigerator! My dad wanted a Milwaukee tool that he had spoken to the Milwaukee rep about a few days previous to our visit. We had a gentleman from Home Depot to help us, the gentleman wasnt sure about the deal. We asked about the Milwaukee rep. He told us the rep was there, the rep didn't work for HD. Then he basically told us if we needed the Milwaukee rep we would have to find him ourselves. We then went to the service desk where they told us the rep wandered between outside and the tool section. I asked if they could page him and was told they could not. We then went to the pro desk. The ladies there helped. They told us the rep wasn't there. They tried to find the tool deal we were talking about, but couldn't. When I got home I called the manager and he said they absolutely could have paged the Milwaukee rep. read more

This Home Depot is the store I go to first if I ever need anything they might sell. Not only do they have a great selection with quality items, everyone is always friendly here and someone almost always stops me to ask if I need help. But this store goes above and beyond in regards to customer service. Just to give an example of what I mean, I ordered a small chest freezer off the Home Depot app and after it was delivered, I unboxed it and saw it was damaged. So I called the store and spoke to James who told me he could give me the number to have someone schedule to pick it up to exchange it or I could just bring it in, which I did. I didn't even need the box. Freezers stock levels were tough, but James not only went out of his way to find me a new freezer, he went to a nearby town to pick it up and bring it back to the store for me! He also refunded my initial delivery fee and sold me the next size up for the same price! Then, when I get the new chest freezer home when wiping out the inside, I notice at the bottom in one of the corners there's a gap. So now I'm worried that when frost builds up and I defrost the freezer water might leaked into that gap. So I text James who is off work but still replies to me, kindly sympathizing and suggests I call the store. I end up talking to the operations manager, Nick Chambers. He offers to swap it out for me or lets me know it would be fine if I wanted to seal it. I agree that I'd like to keep it after everything that happened and that sealing the bottom would be the best choice. So Nick ends up giving me a free professional caulking gun and caulk, a total $30 value. I already thought Home Depot had the best selection and the friendliest staff. But after everything I've experienced with this store, I'm a Home Depot customer for life. read more

After talking to to customer care I was told I would be priority to get resolved, I was quickly forgotten except that they sent be to the store manager I had problem with. He enailed me and I responded only to not hear from him again. Called to try to talk to anyone above store level for customer care and was promised they would get me in touch with just that person but who calls me back. Same store manager , the one who basically smiled and laughed at me and sent me to Menards to spend now over 15k . Give the the wolf 60k a year to watch the hen house and this is what you get . I'll never buy from Home Depot again. Terrible business tactic to avoid getting bad results from your quests taken care of. Spent well over 100k from this place over the years but this time my 70k is going to Menards who are great with customer care. read more

Samantha at the service desk was not only rude but embarrassing to us. Telling other customers "go somewhere else this is going to take a long time" When she was unable to find our Home Depot card she loudly stated "your over your limit". So if you couldn't find our card how are we over the limit. So embarrassing. Mind you we are paying $4,000 for new counters. Everyone else, Amy, Kristy and Andy we made contact with very helpful. read more

From the rental department, I rented a power rake for 4 hours. This is a very heavy piece of equipment and took 2 men to load in back of large SUV. After 20 minutes power rake died, loaded it up and returned it back to store. They offered a different machine and reset my time to 4 hours. Returned home, as soon as the power rake hit the grass or slight slope it died. Returned and asked for full credit, they said it could have been the way the equipment was winterized. To bad for me....back is broke and this was a JOKE! Will try Jud's or Lowe's for my next job :( They did issue a full return on credit card. My time, gas and back ..... out of luck!! I found a lower price on a product that all home depots sells. The price difference was $100. I wanted to shop my home town store (Midland, Mi.). The lower prices were in a number of different home depot locations. I called the Midland, Mi. store and spoke with the manager. He looked up and confirmed that other stores did indeed have the exact same item for $100 less than his store. He would not price match his own corporations price. In speaking with two other managers they confirmed that was incorrect and he should have given me the lower price. I ended up driving to Flint where they sold me the item and were very helpful. They pulled the item off the floor and left it at customer service to be sure I got the item after being forced to drive over 100 Miles. Not very good customer service at the Midland Mi. location. Purchased a fridge/ freezer for my son and daughter in law. Paid $100 for the WORST delivery ever. The guy turned up with his girlfriend and said the fridge wouldn't fit through the door and just left it in the mudroom with all the packaging still on. We got the fridge through the door without any problems and are now stuck with all the packing materials to dispose of. I am so disgusted with their delivery service I will never use that store again. read more

We searched on-line for diatomaceous earth, a product that can be used for killing insects including fleas on pets. We found that Home Depot had the best pricing for the quantity we wanted between the base price and free shipping TO THE STORE. We ordered and paid, and received an email stating we would be emailed once the product had arrived at the store. The arrival date was pushed back, and then we were told it would arrive on the 20th. It's now the 30th and we've never received an email. We tried contacting the store, no sign of it, contacted Home Depot on-line, no help. Now we're without the product we needed and OUT OUR MONEY. We'll be shopping at Menard's or Lowes from now on, this is ridiculous. read more

Purchased a countertop from HomeDepot, they outsourced to MKD out of Marshall, MI. MKD is a horrible company to deal with, WHEN you are finally able to talk to someone at this place, they are very rude! The installers smelled like marijuana and were slobs. MKD decided to make my bathroom vanity out of two pieces instead of 1 piece as I was told by Home Depot and the person from MKD after the initial measurement. The countertop is ~72" wide by ~21" deep with two under mount sinks between two upright vanities. MKD did not properly secure the countertop because it arrived damaged, but did not notice until after the install was complete because the installers rushed to get done with the job and have me sign the form saying I approved the install. I did note on the form I did not approve the 2 piece counter. Home Depot is basically hands off, I've called their corporate and have had a case open for almost a month. They have yet to follow-up with me to get anything resolved even though they said they would within 48 hours after I called back the 2nd time. I've also talked to the local management, but they again haven't called me back. I no longer do any business with Home Depot, I drive the extra 1.5 miles to Lowes for any of my needs. I have not resorted to disputing the charges through my Credit Card Company and putting my project on hold until it's resolved. Stay away from HOME DEPOT and MKD, poorly managed company from a corporate level all the way down to the stores. If you look up reviews on MKD they have no good reviews about them, and that is a Home Depot issue for continuing to use them. You get what you pay for, go to a local cabinet/counter top company with their own installers. read more

Just had our new washer delivered from The Home Depot. They called yesterday letting us know it would be delivered before 12:00 noon Thursday. Then they called this morning to say they would be here in approximately 30 minutes. The driver (Nick) paid careful attention not to run over our lawn which was a tad tricky because our driveway is not just a straight one. He and his help got right down to business bringing the washer in being careful not to hit the walls and doorways. As for the washer...it looks like a nice washer. Thought I was going to do a load, but realized the drum is so big I can wait a day or two before I actually have a load. read more

We are renovating our house from top to bottom. So far 90% of our purchases have been with this home depot store and after this experience with their appliances I wont ever buy appliances from them again nor will I probably make the rest of my reno purchases with them. I usually buy appliances from ABC warehouse because the warranties and service is great, they service all the ones with my rental properties, I call lickity split no questions asked they deliver a new unit or fix that one same day. their techs come prepared with common parts for your appliance. I figured we'd give home depot a shot since their cabinet team was great. BIGGEST MISTAKE! Their extended warranty program is the biggest joke ever. You have to call, set up a diagnosis, then another appointment to fix it, then if that doesnt work its another appointment before they will bring a new one. So its a minimum of 2-3 times you'll have to take off work to have it looked at because of course, its 9-5 anyways. Not to mention, the hassle with calling for this extended warranty to even get it looked at was a night mare, for one company to have 50 different departments you have to call through corporate is dumb. the right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing and of course they all use separate systems. just absolutely horrible customer service. I'm now pulling my hair out, and not worth it. I shouldn't have to do this with a 18 month old appliance..and its a faulty piece on the appliance, and it ruined the cord. so of course, the faulty appliance also ruined the cord that not included.. and now I'm spending yet again more money. at least I wont have to spend it there... read more
