They need more help on the aisles. When I went in the young ladies steered me in the direction of where they thought I should go and the people in another area were some help but it wasn't where I needed to be. I get to the aisle and look for the item. I didn't see it yet I still wanted to ask a worker. It's a shame. I ended up asking a man who I thought was a worker because he was helping a guy and turned out they were together but tried to help me. They even expressed that the workers were no help here and to try Lowe's but I probably wasn't gonna find that exact item but something that would work. I appreciate them so very much. Lazy and unintelligent employees. By far the worst Home Depot location I have ever visited. A few weeks ago, on Black Friday, I purchased a massive Christmas yard inflatable on sale for $69 instead of $129. After one week, the product stopped inflating. So, I go to this Home Depot to exchange my defective product. I have the original receipt and everything. The lazy worker at the customer service desk claimed she couldn't exchange it because I bought it on sale. I would have to buy it again and pay the difference. I don't know much about Home Depot's store policy, but I know for a fact that this is unacceptable and unfair. I figured that I was better off without the item, so I got my refund. Before leaving, I needed to purchase some tent stakes. I asked 3 employees where they were, and all of them said "I Don't know." The fourth employee was actually willing to search it up on her phone, and told us right where they were. Overall, this Home Depot has the potential to be good, just the employees ruin it. I rented a mini carpet extractor from Store #1772 (Macon GA) and when I got home, noticed the "optional" damage protection was added to my order without my knowledge. When I returned the unit today, I brought it to the attention of the man checking in my unit. The guy behind the counter was named Roy. Roy said I should have read before I signed. That's great customer service Roy. It's funny because yesterday the signature capture pad where I had to review this unexplained cost, was not functioning. I could not scroll down. This Home Depot has a decent selection of items, but the customer service is ridiculous. I had to go around the entire store to find an associate to assist me. When I finally found someone to assist me, she was clueless as to where I could locate the shelf pins I were looking for. She then tried to use her phone to take a picture of the one I brought with me to locate it on the Home Depot app. She could not locate it on there, so she then decided to tell me to wait momentarily until a coworker clocked in and he would assist me. Ten minutes later and still no help. I ended up returning all the other things I planned on purchasing. I normally prefer Home Depot, but in Macon, go to the Lowe's on Zebulon Road. read more

Stay away from the flooring installation services. They can't hold up the 3-5 day guarantee and don't even care to. It's been 3 months for us and they absolutely refuse any refund and or help. Even corporate refused help. It's all a big run around. They've blatantly lied to us and even went as far as to say it was our fault. Now how is that possible when we've paid in full for services not yet rendered. Check the reviews on their web site and you'll see that people have had the same experience. This has to be the worse Depot I have ever been to. I am an electrical contractor and I have been into home depot all over the state of Georgia and Alabama and this by far is the worse. The costumer service at the pro desk is the worse they are rude and disrespectful and definitely not efficient. Just today I went in to purchase materials for a job here in Macon and the lady was rude from the start while walking up to the line my daughter asked me a question that had nothing to do with this lady or my purchase at the pro desk my daughter was asking me for my card so she could purchase something herself and this lady got rude and told me they don't do that or have time for that at the pro desk and this conversation between me and my daughter had nothing to do with her or the pro desk and from that point on the lady continued to be rude asked me for another contractors number that also works for our general contractor which I did not have and do not need it because this contractor has nothing to do with me or my purchase however I got her the number when she called her and she didn't answer then she goes on to call my general contractor about the purchase although I have all the information needed and they have been told over and over again not to call him. every contractor I work with hates coming to Macon Home Depot we will even go out of our way to go to Warner Robbins to avoid dealing with rude disrespectful and lazy people who are supposed to be I. I just returned home from the Home Depot in Macon, GA. I went to buy paint. Upon checking out, I presented a STORE CREDIT card to the cashier, Jermani. She scanned the back of my driver's license then proceeded to tell me my license didn't match the information on the STORE CREDIT card. I said "What?" She said I couldn't use the STORE CREDIT card because my information didn't match. Jermani told me it wasn't her fault and I should go find a manager to figure it out. I told her "You get a store manager to figure this out." Jermani was rude, didn't give a damn, and continued to argue with me. I told her she better learn about CUSTOMER SERVICE. I also told her to learn some manners. When Jermani told me to get some manners I said to her "Screw You." Finally, she shut her mouth. Tiffany then came to the register to help with the situation. Tiffany was sweet, kind and very helpful. It took about 10 minutes for the register to recognize the STORE CREDIT card, which had $47.00 on it. I will NEVER, EVER go to this Home Depot ever again. The ONLY reason I went was because I needed to use the STUPID STORE CREDIT I got about 2 months ago. read more

I ordered some cabinets from Home Depot online. The reason, they didn't have them in stock, that I understood. I received an email May 14 that they had arrived. I went to Home Depot to pick them up. At the online pickup desk I was told that they hadn't arrived and the computer showed they wouldn't arrive until the 22 of May. I returned home and that afternoon I received an email that they were at the Pio Nono Home Depot after all. I called to make sure it wasn't another wasted trip. I talked to a lady that took my number and said , when I put my eyes on them I'll call you, guess what ? No call! I called back and spoke to a lady MJ was her name, she located the cabinets at the store and I was very grateful to her for doing what several others couldn't or wouldn't locate them. If you are a contractor you can never rely on the onhand numbers to be accurate. Getting help that actually produces a decent customer experience is rare. If they say something will be brought from another store so you can handle your work crew don't hold your breathe. Actual store manager does not come out and serve the customer. If it weren't for the incredible people at the Pro Desk I'd never come in. Today alone I've wasted two hours trying to resolve an issue. Over this store sucks!!! read more

I've never had a problem with this location. The staff isn't overly friendly, but they don't avoid you either. They carry the same items found in any Home Depot at competitive prices. The one thing I don't like about this location is the parking lot. It seems like people almost try to run you over there. Not sure what could be done to improve the situation, but it would certainly make my shopping experience better if I don't get flattened by a truck. read more

Well, it's improving but still has a long, long way to go. First problem is you can't see it from the road. I don't know how many times I've needed an item for a project around the house, drove right past it and because I didn't see it, didn't think about it until I was on my way back home and saw Lowes on Eisenhower. Then, I bought the item at Lowes because I didn't want to make the trip all the way back to the castle on the hill depot. Nice location, if you could see it. Even if they could put a sign at the road reminding people that, hey, there's a hardware store on that hill, it would help. But, on the plus side, since many people just pass it by, it's really never crowded. Customer service here used to be beyond bad. If I needed something and if, IF someone could be found on the floor they were generally of remedial quality, middle school smart on what a PVC elbow is, where it's located within the store and what's its actual function is. But, things have improved. I did have a very nice lady help me finding and figuring out an issue I had regarding telephone tools. Another lady was even more helpful and suggested trying Lowes when Home Depot's product was inferior, but she was a vendor and technically not a Home Depot employee. Figures. Here's what TAKES THE CAKE. I was in the market for a washer and was going to go home with one that day, one way or the other. Period! CASH MONEY! I started out at Home Depot and looked over their selections. One had a temperature setting of "cold tap" or maybe "tap cold." What the heck is that? Does it spit out beer on tap? I politely asked an employee, who I will not name. To preserve his anonymity, let me just pick out a name at random. Let's just call him the Jolly Green Ginger Giant of the appliance department and no one will know who I'm talking about. Now, I didn't spout off about does tap cold mean beer on tap. I politely asked him what the world is that. It may have been getting close to his lunch, maybe he thought I wasn't a serious buyer or maybe he's just plain stupid. He told that for $650 or whatever the price was on that washer, that he didn't think that they'd put a refrigeration unit in it. I countered that you wouldn't want a refrigeration unit in a washer anyway. Oh, yes, you would was the beginning of a bunch of BS on how water often comes out of the pipe TOO hot to wash clothes. Remember, this is the cold water pipe. He told me that at his house the water comes out of the tap at 85 or so degrees. Well, maybe for a second or two until water runs through the pipe that's been in the ground. Or maybe he lives over an active small volcano? I left going to another part of the store and thought, let me go back and see if there's someone in that department who isn't a complete, certifiable idiot. Finally, another employee looked the manual up on line and a knowledgeable person explained it. The theory is that powdered detergents often don't dissolve in too cold a water and when it says cold, it may be mixing in some hot water. Tap cold would be without any warm water added. I left to check out other stores and bought a washer from a store on Mercer, conveniently located a couple of blocks north of this Home Depot! Just go north on that side road to Mercer and take a right. Yellow building. Can't miss it. The guy who runs it can read, write and knows what's he's doing. No BS. Of all the sorry employees, of all the sorry hardware stores in all of this state, this guy, the Jolly Green Ginger Giant, has to be the most sorry king of sales of the whole sorry lot. I mean, come on, if you're going to try to lie, think of something believable. With people like him, no wonder this country is in such bad shape. This is a great example to explain to kids why to say no to drugs. I don't know if this guy is a user but at least that'd be an excuse other than the obvious one of just plain stupid. Great store if you like BS, snow ball answers and maybe out for a lark one day and ask a simple question for an answer that will give you your laugh for the day. A few days later I went back and the Jolly Green Ginger Giant was at lunch. A woman was writing up an order for a couple for a washer/dryer combo. I told her the experience of the magic washer and that now refrigeration units come in some models, how BrandsMart up the road about 45 minutes has most of their same appliances at about 40% the cost and that store on Mercer beats their prices on all washers or dryers any day. As I continued, I could almost hear her teeth grinding. Perhaps a hair or two fell out as she was typing their order. I suggested to this couple that they check out BrandsMart and save them a bundle of money. The employee writing up the order thanked me for my comments. What else could she do right in front of two people in the process of buying a washer/dryer but still to the point that they might say, "hey, let's go to BrandsMart." read more

You know, the coward who was picked on as a kid because he couldn't stick up for himself and now takes out his frustrations over the internet. They're everywhere in this day and age. But I digress... My experience at The Home Depot in Macon, Ga was great. I recently had my Kitchen re-modeled and could not be happier. The kitchen designer Matt was extremely friendly and professional. We had checked around at other stores and a few private architectural firms, but the customer service wasn't too good and their estimated completion time tables were horrible. Matt designed our kitchen quickly and his designs were inspiring. The time table he gave us was two months till completion, and damned if he wasn't spot on. Their installers were extremely friendly and understood the necessity of keeping a low profile and staying out of the way of the family. When the project was finished, and we could see the design come together, my wife and I were ecstatic. Our kitchen is now a place where the family can interact and we can entertain guests. 4 stars for friendly and professional service. Will be shopping their again. read more
