After being the bridesmaid of a dear friend who had her wedding here, there's no way I would ever…read morereturn. The owner, Kathy, was rude and off-putting the entire time. After she made the mistake of not setting up the correct number of chairs/tables, Kathy condescendingly kept telling the bride to "calm down." The bridal party was up until 11 PM the night before the wedding fixing her mistake. She was not the least bit apologetic. On the wedding day, Kathy also felt the need to stop, in the middle of taking photos, to let me know that I was doing a good job hiding my bigger body behind the skinny girls when posing for photos. I am not sure why this crude woman felt the need to make a negative comment about MY body. I was going to just move on and let this go, until I heard from multiple other people that she had also body shamed them and their friends. To Kathy: I can lose the weight, but you'll always be ugly.

The views from the arena are a stunning backdrop for any bride and groom wanting have an outdoor ceremony. Inside the barn there are three defined spaces. The foyer with its high ceilings and comfy furniture welcoming you inside. This is also where the restrooms are located. They have two newly constructed restrooms with multiple stalls in addition to the two original ones. The venue provides tables and chairs and table coverings for your event. There's a built in rustic bar in the corner of the main event space where clients can have a hired bartender serving drinks of their choice. The facilities are set up for a catering company to bring in the food of the clients choice or your band/DJ to unload easily with large rolling door access on either end of the barn. I visited in February so the trees were bare but I can only imagine how gorgeous the space looks in the spring, summer and fall. We were told they host smaller meetings there being able to block off spaces for a more intimate feel or can seat up to 1500 utilizing the whole space.

As you can see, we brought plenty. There are lots of places to sit outside as well. They had a wine bar in the barn so that you didn't need to walk back up for drinks. Even if they don't have things going on, it is still a great place to sit back and relax in an Adirondack overlooking the water. There is a cute tire swing and plenty of grass area for kiddos to run around and play. I always enjoy getting a flight so I can enjoy several of their wines. I actually like their muscadine wines surprisingly. They also have the most amazing strawberry cake that is made with their wine! I go every year for my birthday to get a slice. In the summer, it is also nice to get a win slushy as well. The owners are always very friendly and their dogs will likely greet you as well. The space where the wedding took place used to be functional for horses but is now a shabby country chic for an event of your choosing. This wedding looked like it was straight out of Better Homes and Garden magazines. This farm is HUGE, there is a lake, and the event space (which used to be the barn with stables) is unlike anything I had ever seen. They even had a fully functioning apartment within the event space that the band was able to use to get ready in and relax in between set up and start time. They also have other rooms for the bridal party and areas to get ready. If you are looking for a place to have a wedding that is elegant but has a down home country feel, Adaumont Farm is the place for you!! And I love this place. Im 40 and not currently dating so this is my go to place on Friday evenings. They serve dinner every Friday (bbq, fried chicken, spaghetti). The regulars are mostly older women and all are very friendly. A $20 will get you about a couple of hours of play time and occasionally I have left with a couple hundred bucks. Minus one star for the smoking room. Lots of people coming in and out so the smoke drifts into the main room.
