Went in today with my sister to get a recommended hair recovery oil and was pleasantly greeted by Nancy a holistic science specialist. Although I was fixed on buying the oil and walking out, Nancy actually went over the benefits of the oil and that all or most are created in-house. I was most impressed about the attention that I inquired about other type of products I was looking for and asked if I would like to sample such products in store. I ended up purchasing a home diffuser, deodorant as well as a few samples to try. My sister and I had an overall a wonderful experience shopping here and will most certainly comeback! read more

Absolutely the best natural product available! The staff are absolutely amazing and always willing to share information! From skin product, baby products to home products, this is the only company that will consistently get business from me! My little girl has never had diaper rash because of the holistic science baby balm! I found Holistic Science at the Little Italy farmer's market and loved their products. They smell great, the ingredients are safe, they are easy on my sensitive skin and I use their baby products for my little one. I also visited their store and saw their pristine kitchen. About a month ago my baby pushed the baby wash/shampoo from the tub and it shattered from that short distance. I called them to provide feedback that glass is not safe packaging for a baby product by a bathtub. They told me that they are no longer going to use glass for that product. And today I received a free baby wash in the mail in the new packaging! That's the best customer service I have ever received. On that note, one time when I was at the farmer's market I mentioned my mother-in-law and how she has bought practically every product they have. When I told the girl her first name she blurted out the last name. She KNEW the name of her customer off the top of her head!!! So if you're looking for amazing products with amazing customer service, this is as good as they come. read more

If you're considering checking this place out. DO !! I love their products. Love that they recycle the glass bottles too. I recommend the warming muscle rub. Wow is it great. Really works well on my neck. I have major neck c/spine issues. It really takes the edge off and often resolved my pain. Be careful not to rub your eyes, come in contact with your mucus membranes because it will sting/burn, even after washing your hands. That's how good this is! Their skin products are amazing. HSC offers amazing variety of things natural, vegan, cruelty free and so much more ... They have all things I've been wanting to try and fall in love with that the big names just can't compete with! (Also supporting a local business is way more pleasing!) They offer lovely & non greasy lotions for the body and face, toothpaste, sunscreen and gentle face care items - even things for the newest additions. I purchased the lavender body spritz that makes me feel brand new every time I wear some. It is so natural and lite I just can't wait to get the mint one and add it to my growing collection. I also love products that are natural, not tested on animals, and contain no animal products (there are some in the store that do just ask to make sure what they are). LOVE! I found these wonderful ladies at the Little Italy Farmers Market and have made two more trips back specifically to buy more products and gifts. I love the spray-in conditioner and the body butter is fabulous. I feel like we all consume and apply way too many chemicals and having a line of products that are fabulous AND safe for us makes me very happy. Bought their goods at the Hillcrest Farmer's Market. I bought 2 things: DEODORANT - I typically only wear deodorant in the summer (yes, really) because I refuse to use antiperspirant. The only non-aluminum deodorant that I've ever had success with is Old Spice, but I hate the scent. So I bought one from Holistic Science which smells heavenly and works pretty well. I'm a tiny bit smelly at the end of the day, but overall its great and I will definitely stick with it. BABY GOOP - Bought this for my 2 year who has eczema, then promptly stole it from from her because I love the creaminess and the light lavender/lemon scent. It's sooooo nice. I bought their sunblock and it DID NOT WORK. At first this sunblock was making me break out, so I downgraded it from a face sunblock to a body sunblock. That should have been a red flag because I usually never break out from skincare products. I am on vacation in Aruba and constantly reapplied all day and yet I'm sunburnt all over. My face, which I use a different sunblock on, is mostly fine. Now I am lotioning all over to try to fix it, and I got a sunblock from Aruba Aloe instead (bottles made from 100% recycled plastic), we'll see if it works better. read more

The products are all natural but they don't push a hippie/vegan vibe on you like some of the other shops in the neighborhood. I purchased a Living Social deal for this place and am so glad I did. The woman who helped me was super nice and friendly. She took the time to explain the products and wasn't pushy at all. I purchased their deodorant, muscle spray, perfume, and body scrub. I love everything I purchased that I went back today to grab a few more things before the holidays. Their natural deodorant is the best I have used in a long time. Also, love the muscle spray after those tough workouts. The almond body scrub smells so delicious. They also sell these cute candles with affirmations that are soy based and have wood wicks to give that crackly effect. Definitely a cute storefront and worth checking out. I am a licensed massage therapist, and have used tons of pain relieving creams and topicals in my practice. This place nailed the formula. Their muscle spray with arnica works like a dream and their muscle rub is the perfect balance of warm tingly goodness. I use it on almost all of my clients as well as myself. Their muscle spray helped one of my clients get over leg cramps that would cause her whole leg to cease up. The smell, the texture, the therapeutic benefits are all amazing. I bought every baby gift they have in the store for my cousins baby shower and not only was she thrilled, but all the other women at the party were impressed. I am a huge fan of their products. I started with their 10-in-1 Multibalm when I needed a strong hand cream to help soften the callous on my hands caused from weight lifting. That balm turned out to be amazing, I now use it on my feet, when I have a burn. My boyfriend uses it as a beard conditioner and he recently took it on a trip around Australia where he used it for everything from bug-bites to sealing his beard for scuba diving. It is seriously a miracle product. I warn you once you use one product you kind of get hooked, today most of my toiletries are from The Holistic Science, including my face wash, toner, toothpaste and mouthwash, and even breath cream. I cannot believe I've never reviewed this gem of a store. A few years ago I switched to all natural skin care and used missed matched products from all over the place. Over time I found out that a lot of the stuff I was using had dangerous ingredients despite being labeled as all natural. Everything in the store is handmade in the store! They don't do any animal testing and most of their products are vegan (it might all be vegan but don't quote me on that). Everything smells fantastic and beyond that it all works! I literally use everything from the store including shampoo and conditioner, skin care, sunscreen, perfume, candles etc. I absolutely love their deodorant as well. While everything in the store is priced fairly and I'm sure reasonable for how much it costs to make... I was hesitant to spend the money for the deodorant. However it's hands-down the best natural and safe deodorant I've ever used. i'm happy to pay at the fair prices that they offer. Also all of their products seem to be very concentrated so they last a long time. If you shop in the store you get a frequent buyer card and free products for every five full sized Products you buy. Also if you have a square account, you rack up points for additional discounts. The girls that work here are super nice and helpful and always have great suggestions. Stop wasting your time with other healthy products that aren't really healthy and don't really work. Do yourself a favor and fill your medicine cabinet with everything from the store. I LOVE the Solar D-Fense SPF 25. It was the only sunblock I used all week in the blazing hot desert at Burning Man this year. My skin felt incredibly soft all week long because of the natural ingredients I was nourishing my skin with. I was blown away by how well this protected my skin. I never burned the entire week even though all areas of my body were sun exposed every day. Also, I love the consistency of this product as it is easy to smooth onto my skin and absorb into my skin. I love this place! Everything they have is made in store and it is all natural, and they offer a lot of vegan products. I've had mild issues with cystic acne on and off for years, and the face wash and SPF face lotion have worked wonders on my skin and have given my face an almost radiant glow. I seriously look forward to putting on that face lotion every day because it feels so good and fresh on my skin. The items here are pricey, but the price is worth it considering the wholesome ingredients, not to mention a little bit of this stuff goes a longggg way - because of this, I would say that it actually would end up breaking even with a lot of conventional products. Dannie explained every product I had interest in and had me test everything down to the different scents available. She was extremely knowledgeable, professional and super friendly!
