From accommodating a surprise early arrival, to providing gluten free toast at breakfast, and helping arrange a taxi, they were polite and helpful every step of the way. The farm is situated amidst beautiful countryside, with cozy, well-appointed rooms, and a delicious full English breakfast in the conservatory. For a longer stay, I'd recommend a rental car as Ubers were not available local to the hotel. That said, we enjoyed beautiful walks of the surrounding areas on both days.

There are many wonderful old buildings and parks as well as shops and pubs within a reasonable walking distance including train and bus stops. These are extremely helpful as Manchester taxis seem to think they can charge London fares. :p I suggest if you don't have your own vehicle use the bus and for £4 ride all day on any bus to any destination. As for the inn itself, it is just a wonderful place on all accounts. The staff are polite, courteous, go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need and even more amazing they always call you by your first name! The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and the complimentary tea and coffee tray never runs out. The bathrooms are regularly cleaned as well and the water pressure from the showers is amazing. For an extra £5 per day you can get breakfast included and I recommend you do. Their Full Breakfast is THE way to start your day. The only downside here is that I have to leave but I will definitely be back next year!

Owner messed up our booking for Manchester Derby weekend. I rang guesthouse when close by and owner…read moresaid she did not have a room for us even though she took booking and payment a few days earlier. Ruined our stay in Manchester as all affordable accommodation was booked out the night before game. Wasted about 3 hours and was eventually sent to alternative accommodation near the airport. Also had to fork out nearly £100 extra on taxi trips due to being so far from Old Trafford. Not fair to be out of pocket due to Cornbrooke last minute cancellation.
