There were some hardcore Sunday shoppers here and rightly so this place is beautiful. Full on country side vibe with every possible flower and shrub imaginable! I got my trolley and causally stilled around the centre settling on buying some sunflowers and other really hard to pronounce types of flowers for my mom and dads front garden. I have no idea who named some of these varieties of flowers....but they went innnnn...I won't lie a lot of them I couldn't pronounce but I gave it a good go..with varying results.... The flowers here are super cheap too the sunflowers were like 1.50 each and most pots are below £3...bargains galore!! The only thing to note is the tills are busy...people are flocking for a wide for those bargain blooms so set out an afternoon for this trip it's definitely going to take you a a few to see everything and pay....but that's the vibe surely...loved it.

Chapmans is the best garden centre in the local area; there is a good variety of plants, shrubs and trees, which are reasonably priced and very healthy. The tree section in particular has a wide variety of plants, more impressive than most bigger garden centres. The members of staff are cheerful and helpful, and genuinely understand about the plants they are selling, which is a novelty for a garden centre! It also sells mainly plants and plant related products, rather than the myriad of 'tat' that most garden centres sell. The Topiary Tea Rooms is set in a small wooden building, but has a beautiful outlook onto a sun-soaked patio where wild birds feed very relaxing. They only serve drinks and cakes, but I would definitely recommend the cheese scones. As the weather steadily improves, I would heartily recommend Chapmans as a place to go to rejuvenate your garden.

If ever their is a problem with any plants there is never an issue with exchange, which I never had. Kevin is top guy, as is all the staff and their knowledge of all plants is so very helpful. What can I add " Well done staff and management at Chapmans " You won't be disappointed.

Over the last 5 years or so, I have bought many plants and garden ornaments from Purely Plants and have always been impressed with the quality and service provided. There is always a wide selection of plants, seeds, trees and garden accessories available. On the downside, the centre is unfortuently located right next to a busy main road from Banbury to Middleton Cheney, which makes it a noisy shopping experience. Turning into the garden centre off the main road is also dangerous as it is so busy. Generally though, the store is great, there aren't that many like it in the area, so when it popped up 5 or so years ago it was most welcome. Definetly recommended.

It offers an extremely comprehensive range of products. Staff in the outside area can be hard to find but there are knowledgeable staff available if you need advice as I did when selecting a fruit tree for my garden. The level of customer service is high, I was surprised to discover that if you buy a heavy bag of fertiliser or compost it will be taken to your car on an electric carrier! So all in all a recommended place to go for garden supplies and products.

Sometimes, some herb plants may need replacing after a harsh winter though it wasn't too bad a winter this time I also love to browse their aquarium area though I've discovered through experience that my doctoring skills sadly don't extend to my finned friends, so I now confine myself to looking at the fishes! They are quite expensive, but if you are looking for something a bit different to the usual high street stores then you might find something here. There is also a fantastic cafe and the food is gorgeous, with things like home made soup or jacket potatoes on the menu. Marvelous, marvelous, marvelous!…read more I've recently gotten really into windowsill gardening and have been filling all available spaces with tiny green loveliness. I was looking for a good garden shop that offered real variety (unlike the chain stores which seem to offer not much and a lot of it), and learned about Neal's. I'm so glad I did. While it is awkwardly located just across from a prison, the place is just great. Pots galore; a beautiful selection of bedding plants and other outdoor selections; and a great indoor shop featuring a greenhouse of houseplants, a wealth of garden tools, indoor pots and planters, and gifts for gardeners. While I've come to expect independent shops to be a touch more expensive than the chain stores (and am ok with this as I like supporting the little guy), I was pleasantly surprised at the super reasonable pricing at Neal's! I ended up bringing home more and larger plants than I would have anywhere else as they were so well priced. I kept going on about this to my husband, who very kindly didn't say too much as I added plant after plant to our basket! Definitely a place I'll be visiting on a semi-regular basis!

Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and are happy to offer up advice - but don't expect help to come to you - you gotta go and seek help on your garden related conundrums. It's in a bit of a weird location though - right opposite Wandsworth Prison. Not sure if that matters, but it's probably best to avoid picking up a spade when you hear about an escape on the news.
