During the renovation my family and I moved to a small condo nearby, leaving the entire content of my condo in the guest room and in the solarium. Les and I communicated mainly through emails. Les was reliable, organized and very quick to answer all my questions during the renovation. He was particularly careful with the installation of the oven microwave combo due to the appliances being more heavy than usual. The appliances were installed a month ago and we have used them many times already. The job involved: - Demolition of 3 bathrooms, re-tiling, installation of new shower floor, bathtub, toilets, medicine cabinets, baseboards, new in- floor heating system, electrical, etc. - Demolition of old kitchen, re-tiling, installing new backsplash, baseboard, installation of a super heavy oven/microwave combo into an Ikea cabinet, range hood and connecting all the appliances, etc.

Given the housing market is cooling nowadays, if you're in the market, you are probably in a better position to negotiate an inspection on purchase. The 5-star consistent Yelp reviews don't lie. Vahn is great, and I highly recommend him! He knows his stuff and has many years of experience in construction, civil engineering and home inspections. He grew up in a household that's in construction and real estate. He quickly responds to the first request for information. However, you should be able to find all you need from the detailed breakdown of prices on his website. He spent four hours on our house and thoroughly explained the HVAC system, how all our equipment works, and how to maintain it through the seasons. Very patient with answering all my Q's because I know nothing about it. While our home is relatively new and within limited warranty, he did find some HVAC-related items, electrical panel and external areas to improve. What did we receive at the end? A detailed 45-page report (we had two HVAC systems) with 10+ recommendations and pictures. He even had diagrams of our electrical, heating and plumbing systems etc. All the model numbers of our equipment and home appliances were listed and submitted to notify us of any recalls on an ongoing basis. It was worth it for us to get the home inspection after purchase. We paid for the extended thermal scan of the home, but we didn't upgrade for the radon scan. However, it's only $30 to add on a radon scan if you want a quick check.

After searching through numerous house cleaning/cleaners I quickly gave Toronto's Best Cleaning Services a call. They were able to make the same day appointment! After we welcomed them into the Airbnb, my friends and I stepped out for brunch. I didn't really talk to the cleaners that much but they seemed very friendly and professional. By the time we came back it was spotless! It went from a messy house to the same clean house we arrived in! Even the scent they left was very refreshing and just smelled lovely! I would definitely use them again if I move to Toronto or recommend them to anyone who had a fun weekend like we did!

He's little more than a middleman who takes advantage of folks without the time to find an alternative. What sickens me the most is that he casts himself as someone who's only in it to help immigrants find their feet in the country. I'm appalled by what I've discovered and I'm loathe think on the many ways he exploits his employees. Avoid this place.
