The pub sell bar snacks all day that are homecooked and excellent quality and value for money. If you are after something more substantial then there is the restaurant to the side which is relaxed well staffed. With fantastic prices such as 3 courses for £9.99 you can't go wrong. The staff are all excellent and the pub landlord runs a very tight ship which is what makes it such a great place to go. This is why when you go in you will find all age ranges from young to old. Oh and beer is pretty good too!

The staff are friendly and helpful. Food is excellent value with sizeable portions and the dining area is spacious and light. I was delighted to find the bar area buzzing at around 6pm which suggests that it's popular with locals as well as visitors. Well worth a visit.

Pool table (£1 a game) in one side room and a snooker table in good looking condition in a back room. 3 or 4 guest ales on and a large projection screen for the football. Seven years after first getting a pint in here it has now been the recipient of a very sympathetic makeover as part of becoming a community pub. The range of ales has increased (both on tap and bottled), the number of customers has definitely risen and there's a much more of a buzz about the place. Great to see the place with a new lease of life.
