They are very child friendly and provide high chairs, and they are also very very friendly with smiley happy waiting staff who are even patient with my children who change their minds several times before they let them escape! There is also a large car park for ease of parking, small space out the front with chauirs for summer al fresco dining. And for kids they have a slide, monkey bars, zip wire and other bits and pieces of kids play equiptment. For adults they also do a great new Years Eve evening, with this year it being a local comedian who also sings and does karaoke. Well worth a visit especially for the food!!

A few minutes later when a very elderly lady requested some mint sauce to compliment her lamb dinner she was told that it too was all gone despite only one other table of four diners having it ??? Its all home cooked as well on the night no microwaving up stuiff from the day before etc in this pub! The landlord also puts his own wii out for people to play on, there;s a pool table, juke box, and often live music and different events going on. They do charity nights at times to for the local fire brigade and other charities too. They do parties at Christmas and New Year which prove increasingly popular. The Crown Inn is a very special place on so many levels. It is the 2nd oldest pub in Cornwall…read more(1100's!). It has charm and character for days, from the cozy fireplace in the bar, to the low beamed ceilings, to the inviting outdoor courtyard filled with flowers, and tables with umbrellas. The rooms are extremely well appointed and no detail has been spared. The beds are extremely comfortable and the pillows and linens are top quality with William Morris fabric. The pub fare is great and breakfast in the morning was plentiful and delicious! To top it off, the owners Tim and Jos are so warm, welcoming and accommodating that you will leave feeling like family. The Crown Inn's location in Lanlivery is a great base for touring many favorite spots in Cornwall including The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and many of the charming fishing villages nearby including Polperro!

We booked a table for 7, inside (as opposed to the option of sitting outside overlooking the beach), and it was all ready for us. We ordered when the 'waiting time indicator' at the order point said 30 minutes. We had to wait over an hour and a quarter - and the food orders weren't complicated. This was of slight concern with some of us with regard to eating late in the day. The food was absolutely fine when it arrived and in that respect good ratings. There is very limited parking at the pub, and no Disabled parking indicated. The main P&D car park for Polkerris is about 200 yards uphill.
