We needed breakfast before heading out for a daytrip to De Bosch. Our friends that live in Eindhoven suggested we check out The Happiness Kitchen.
We dropped in on a Friday (around 11:15am). The inside is cute with exposed brick walls. There's a bunch of salads and pastries (matcha donuts) up front by the counter that looked tasty.
The menu is split into all-day breakfast, sandwiches & toasts, salads & burgers and organic ice cream.
- The happy brunch platter (€15,00) - mini smoothie bowl with granola, banana pancake with coconut yoghurt and fresh fruit, spelt bread with two toppings (we went with avocado and smoked salmon), homemade banana bread, ginger-lemon shot and a small cup of cappuccino. A nice way to try a bit of everything. All the things were healthy, fresh and tasty. Only thing we didn't like was the pancake; heavy and not much flavour.
- Breakfast of champs (€9,00) - scrambled eggs with marinated chicken, feta cheese, baby spinach and avocado served on a spelt bun with hummus. Bun is hefty and will fill you up. Scrambled eggs were light and airy.
Cute spot to grab breakfast or brunch. 3.5 stars. read more
