This place is located where Coast Hwy turns into El Camino Real. I was lucky to have been a guest here twice, once for a private party (rental for a fee) and most recently for 4th of July. It was packed but it seemed like everyone was staying out of everyone else's way. Members had to wear special wristbands and guests had different wristbands. Although the facilities for a beach club are sufficient, there are some insufficiencies to note. I couldn't tell if any staff was actually enforcing / ensuring that the general public wasn't wandering in (there was nothing stopping anyone from just coming in from the beach side and the main gate that supposedly required an electronic fob was wide open), but for sure no one was regularly checking the restrooms because the toilet paper for all 3 stalls were out of toilet paper. Not the beach club's fault but the sand at this beach is now very rocky. I was also told that 4th of July used to be a huge event but this year it was mostly a host-your-own type of deal with some scheduled events Lastly, to get to the property, you have to go under a bridge next to this disgusting body of water that may be runoff from waste treatment that sometimes flood over. There is no on-site parking - it's a nondescript lot next to the gas station across Coast Hwy/El Camino Real, but it is reserved - simply have your sticker displayed in your car. Basically, posh this place is not, but it works if you are a member and need beach club facilities or need a place to host a private event.

The playground, beach recreation areas, paddle tennis courts and picnic tables are stellar. The grounds have even been landscaped with exotic plants and a swag hemp fence. The clubhouse and bathrooms are clean, sanitized and always stocked. The private parking lot has ample room with more than 100 parking spots for Shorecliffs Beach Club members and their guests. Parking stickers or paper guest parking passes must be displayed on the inside front window of each vehicle. The staff members over the past few years have been incredible as well. They are hardworking, helpful and enforce the rules set by the board of directors. Membership wristbands are checked and members must sign in any guests. The staff never allows non-residents onto the premises unless they are accompanied by a Shorecliffs member. You must check out the updated website to see just how amazing the club has become. Yes, they will improve your acting, but they go into the business of Hollywood and sounds like they'll save you a lot of time, money, and headaches by giving you sound advice. If you're just doing it for fun (like me), they'll absolutely increase your acting range. I got a lot of good tips from my acting teacher, Jonathan Tysor (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm7240096/?ref_=fn_all_nme_1). I'm a middle-aged man who wanted to take acting lessons for fun. On a whim, I reached out to Orange County Acting Academy (OCAA) because I was listening to a few audio books and really left impressed with the voice actors. I took a complimentary adult class on Tuesday. The class lasted an hour and I left thinking this would be fun to do. I spoke with Ron (one of the owners) and told him I'd like to take voice acting lessons rather than adult acting lessons and he said if they have the classes again, he'd accommodate. I decided to take the adult classes. I had taken acting classes before at Segerstrom around 2013 - it was very structured and formal to almost prepare you for plays as they also tackled blocking, improv, and foundational acting skills. The classes at OCAA - based on conversations I've had, are more akin to what you'll find in Los Angeles acting classes with another benefit, they really try to tell you how Hollywood works. I do not think any other types of classes like this exists in South Orange County. For example, Ron tells you when you may need an agent or when you can do without one. He'll tell you roles that are happening and how to prepare for it. He has firsthand experience since his son is a working actor. Further, they'll have workshops with casting directors and actors. I almost feel that if you are going into the industry and need a consultant to help you navigate that world, this school will help you - it'll save you time, money, and headaches in the long run. The classes at OCAA are less structured and you don't cover blocking on a nightly basis, but you do acting lessons, scene reads with other students, and the teachers try to get you out of your comfort zone. They are trying to increase your range first and foremost. I took about two adult acting classes before Ron told me they have enough students for voice acting lessons. The voice acting lessons were taught by Jonathan Tysor. I switched over since that was my main reason for joining the academy and I loved every minute of it. The class doesn't tell you how to mimic voices or do funny voices, it teaches you how to act. If you incorporrate mimicry or different voices, he'll help you make it natural to fit within a scene. Jonathan really increased my acting range because he encouraged me to make bold choices. Yes it's a voice acting class, but we went over acting skills. When the choices didn't work, he'd gently nudge me the right way - you can tell he was being nice as to not discourage me. He had different scenes I could select from, which included voice over for commercials, audio book monologues, and voice acting scripts. If you have roles you are working on because you booked a gig (some people did that), they'd help you work on it. For example, I did a monologue of Vas from Far Cry 3 (a villain), a scene (with a partner) from the Incredibles, and then some random small roles. The random small roles were cartoony characters, but it was probably my favorite exercise. The reason is because every student had to tackle the same character, but we all put our unique spin to it. For example, one of my classmates tackled one scene with intense anger, another with disgust, and I was trying arrogance. You're able to compare your acting and get new ideas from other students. Jonathan would also give you directions on the scenes so you'd do it multiple times. This was important because what he was doing was being a director and he wanted to see if you could follow instructions. He went over what both actors on set and actors in the voice over booth would be going over and gave tips on how to navigate the business. Hands down amazing experience. Only reason why I couldn't continue is because I'm working full time. Ron worked with me on when I could take classes or not - at times I'd be missing for weeks. Now that my schedule has intensified, I couldn't continue, but I hope to in the future especially with Jonathan - I found him to be really good at his craft.

As a collegue of mine put it: "I had already contacted (company X) multiple times with no response. The way I ended up getting the contract was because of a friend of a friend of a friend in RBN". The venues: So far the venues have all been classy and fun: The Clubhouse Restaurant at South Coast Plaza, Dave and Busters at the Spectrum, Fox Grill at the Spectrum, Zmario restaurant in Irvine, Yacht Cruise on Newport Bay, the list goes on and on. I always have a good time meeting with folks and the venue plays a part in the atmosphere for everyone. People like having fun and when they are having fun they are relaxed and more interactive with one another. I have gotten business and referrals within one month of joining this group. That is considered pretty rapid within the networking community. I am extremely happy with this group and would wholeheartedly reccomend RBN to anyone looking to expand their network while having fun.

He's tried other rock schools and none are as good as LRRS. Now, we make the trip back to SoCal every summer and schedule our family vacation around a camp week at LRRS! It's not only that the teachers are super talented and kind, but they also demonstrate a love for music that is so authentic, it's really inspiring. The progress that my son makes after attending camp is phenomenal - it's as though he leaves LRRS every summer with more motivation to practice and learn new instruments. After a few summers, my 12-year-old son plays keys, guitar, bass, and this year he wants to add in drums. If you have the chance to get your kid either in camp here or in lessons, do NOT pass up the opportunity! I can only imagine where his music talents would be if we still lived in the area and could practice with LRRS year round!

It was a gorgeous weekend day by the coast and we got a little staple shopping in pre event ( those things you have to replenish at least once or twice a year. The outlets here are dog friendly daily, not just during events. Many shops have pet merchandise and some have treats on hand! This event for a cause was free to attend, five dollars for drink tickets, which offered a selection of tequila (my stop of choice; I tried the pineapple the lime flavors) vodka and wine in addition to the beer focused choices where on hand! Tito's vodka offered up free dog bandanas and dog toys. Balloon animals, goody bags, and photo booths!! Soon the wheel for food vendors at the outlets. My husband won the free pizza and I won the drinks. Twist & Shout made a balloon animal to go with Kindle's Bark and Brew cardigan...he was stylin' This event was well laid out, easy to get around, offered options for sitting. Dog owners United. We saw more Australian shepherds at this event more than any other we have seen in one place. A Mastiff stoke the show with his bold presence... However, a red merle Aussie stole my heart. We want to get our boy a girl with this lovely coat and color and it was our first time seeing a red merle in person. Our dog formed a connection from the start. Odd to find a listing for a neighborhood clubhouse but here it is…read more This clubhouse is accessible to those who live in the community and pay their HOA dues; you must have a key card to enter the facility. A small playground and large pool are located next to the clubhouse. Restrooms, which include showers, are inside the clubhouse as well as a room with full kitchen which can be rented for birthday parties or events (tables and chairs included). I found myself in this clubhouse room for a birthday party that entertained about 15 adults and 20 kids. Complete chaos. But before the insanity began the place was tidy and everything clean & sanitary. The place isn't new but it is well maintained. You are expected to do full cleanup (including vacuuming the floor) afterwards so be prepared to help with that chore if you party too much and end up being one of the last to leave!
