Everything was sparking clean and fresh. The waiting area had a coffee machine and cookies, there is also bottled water available. The owner Lisa has been a stylist for over a decade and is very responsive in discussing what you want to do with your hair, and then in producing an amazing product. A native to the area, she was also quite pleasant to talk to for an hour. Had been planning this visit for over a year. Decided to go platinum for my 60th. Stopped in…read moreseveral months ago to see if this salon was able to do it. I was told that it would be a lengthy process and a pricey one as well. I was well aware of this and it was no problem for me. waited a week for an appointment. Stylist did a couple of test strips to see if the precolored brown would lift. After an hour of saturation, my hair still had much red in it. She shampooed it and gave it a trim (6+ inches!!) (my hair was down to my butt. This stylist seemed very preoccupied with something going on it the salon throughout my visit. Was repeatedly interupted by other staff who needed her immediate attention, I was left to sit and wait for her. Hair was washed cut and blow dried ( not entirely)... still damp underneath... when I was told: "I wish I had time to flat iron it before you go." Me too but I said I'd do it when I got home. She informed me that I should find a color specialist If I wanted to go platinum as she didn't feel comfortable doing it. I was charged $70 for a wash, semi-dry and cut straight across. I questioned the woman at desk on this price and she said it was because I had long hair. Even if she had completed the visit with flat iron, $70 seems a bit much. I left her a $10 tip, only because I would have embarrassed not to. Was not at all what I was expecting from this visit. I assumed that with this stylists 40+ years of experience she would have known how to do what I came in for. I should have been told that they did not have a color specialist before anyone touched my hair!!
