Drinks are dirt cheap. Maybe the cheapest I've ever seen in Alaska. You can get some beers for $4 which is unheard of in the 49th state in 2023. Are they great beers? Not really. Do they fit the friendly-divey vibe of this local watering hole perfectly? Yes, really. It's pretty ironic that the most locals-only bar in town is part of a hotel...but it's true. Disregard all the reviews talking about this place being smoky. That has changed and this place no longer smells of smoke, nor is it allowed. If you're a dorky tourist, you'll likely still be welcomed here. Just expect to be the only dorky tourists in the joint.

The place is big, lots of outdoor seating uncovered, covered and indoor seating. There were lots of mosquitos so we did the indoors. They brew everything on their menu even the hard liquor. My friend and I split a pizza, we got their pickle pizza, with half of it no pickle bc my friend doesn't like pickles but still wanted to try it. It was interesting. I'm usually a red sauce girl and just like sticking with the common ingredients like pepperoni and sausage type. I enjoyed it but I must say the chicken taste on the pizza was strong. Like a super bird tasting. Something I prefer more of mellow meat tasting. Will always love my red meat and sauce. Good pit stop though for a little snack before heading into town.
