The service was phenomenal. The ambiance was nice and chill. I would say, if you're in town, the Angus steakhouse is the place to be. My wife and I came here for our anniversary dinner. The food quality here is probably the best we've discovered. The cost of the food can be a bit pricey, but definitely worthy of the food quality. The freshness of the food is unmatched when compared to all the other local dinneries. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Service was prompt and catered to our needs. For a steakhouse, the chef truly understands the difference on how to cook medium rare and rare. The ribeye I ordered came out perfect; meat was teetering between raw red and pink, with the outer edges being seared brown to trap the heat and moist juices within. Great restaurant for a special night.

A great find in Amberg…read more While walking the quaint streets of Amberg, we decided to eat here. The we were seated quickly at a table with plenty of room for our party of five. I don't remember if there were English menus, but our waiter spoke English and talked us through our order. Everything about our meal was very good. The meat is cooked in an open grill, located in the bar area. You can see the magic as it happens. Again, the service was very good, my beer glass was never empty. Look at the pictures to see the quality of the food, and yes, I like my steak rare. We would return.

Allg. auch, dass hier eine zeitnahe Zu- oder Absage eintrifft und NICHT, dass der Kunde nach 5 Tagen kurz vor den Feierlichkeiten nochmals hinterherrufen muss, ob die Reservierung nun bestätigt ist oder nicht. 2) Wenn ein Restaurant eine zeitliche Begrenzung auf Tische vorhält, dann sollte das dem Kunden auch so VOR (spätestens bei/unmittelbar nach) der Reservierung mitgeteilt werden. Ohnehin ein absolutes Unding generell. Aber uns dann an meiner 60. Geburtstagsfeier rauszuschmeißen vor all und mit meinen Gästen ohne jegliche Vorabinformation, dass die Tische zeitlich begrenzt sind, ist das absolut Unprofessionellste was ich in meinem ganzen Leben erfahren durfte!!! Rob knows his steaks; I trust Rob; there was absolutely no hesitation going to this place, thusly. If you are to take anything away from this review, it would be to make reservations in advance. We came to this place on a Tuesday night in July - typically the seasons in Europe would dictate how busy a particular city/town would be - and did not expect to run into any issues with reserved seating. As mentioned by the review below, the restaurant seating is actually downstairs. The seating was very limit, but it provided a cozy and homey feel. Immediately, we discovered that the restaurant was nearly booked out, but was lucky enough to reserve some seats for 2 hours later. We ended up picking up a top shelf Cabernet Sauvignon and starting with steak tartar to be prepped by ourselves. The only way to describe the steak tartar is how one would feel if they ascended through space and time dimensional vortex - it was amazing. For our main meal, we ordered two 600 gram ribeyes cooked for rare, to be accompanied by potatoes cooked in various ways. The steaks were glorious to say the least. In the end, we paid about 2500 koruna which is an unbeatable price for the entire meal we consumed. This is the steakhouse of Pilsen.

Everyone but me ordered a rumpsteak...I wanted to try the burgers. I ordered the jalapeno Angus burger. It was just 'meh'....burgers aren't something the Euros do well. I would go back....if only because it's cool to eat in a dungeon ;).....
