The waitress when asked to serve drinks when guests arrived preceded to lecture us when guests would have there drink order taken. Ie when they were seated and she was ready. I did think as the paying host i got to determine when guests should be served not the waitress. But obviously in this restaurant the waitress calls the shots. I will not be back but suggest the owner finds better staff if they want to survive as a business. There are plenty of other restaurants in Plzen

Turns out, a cold beer is not at all what I want in the middle of a particularly frigid winter with well below freezing temperatures. We came here in the wee hours of a very late night and this coffee shop by day/bar by night was bumping like it was Friday happy hour after the longest work day ever. Everyone was drinking beer, but I was the jerk who ordered a 3am coffee. The crowd was a fun one with mostly late-20 somethings who may very well have been there since 5:00 whistle blew, based on how loud were. Not that they were unruly, because they certainly weren't, but every table in there seemed like a harmless group of quasi-dweebs just out for a few dozen rounds of giant beers and many, many, many loud laughs with their nerd friends. It was actually really nice and we enjoyed being a part of crowd. Service was on point... at least comparably to the rest of the Plzen service industry and prices weren't terrible. The place was as clean as a science lab and the entryway had an overbearingly strong pine-sol smell, but after our the last bar we'd stopped in having reeked of mildew, the pine sol scent was a nice change up. My coffee was fresh, the beers were good (according to my friends), and had I not chosen to sleep in the next morning I probably would have come back here for more Meinl to start my day.
