No complaints, just nothing that made me think "Wow!". The restaurant just updated their menu for the Fall season - so if you've been here before, maybe take a look again to see what's new. This is our second time staying at the hotel. It's always very clean and the staff is attentive. It can't be easy running a business out of a centuries-old building. I give them credit for keeping the historic feel while maintaining the standards of 21st century hospitality (and plumbing!) Our shower, in particular, was luxurious. Also there's a nice set up of teas, coffee and Nespresso, with milk packets and biscuits (cookies). We overlook the path to the car park outside, there's good natural light along with blackout curtains for when you need to sleep in. If you need a place to sleep several guests/family members, and then host a brunch in the morning, this would be perfect.

The coffee shop is owned by the same couple who run the Coffee Place in Kettering and they have stuck with the same winning formula. Compact lunchtime menu with teatime treats. Home made biscuits and cakes make for good eating. The interior is contemporary while maintaining the tradition and history of the building. Everytime we have been there the place is buzzing with a good collection of locals, walkers and business people.
