I ventured into this store today for two reasons! I wanted to see the pet selection and the other…read morereason is because I haven't been in here in about forty years! I don't know why I haven't stopped here in such a long time! I love pets of all kinds especially dogs and puppies and cats and kittens! Well; I didn't see any of those but I did see the cutest guinea pigs; rabbits, not so cute mice; finches; and parakeets! All looked lively and playful and happy! The person attending this place was very nice to me. I informed her that I was just looking around and that I was just curious. There aren't many animals more adorable than pet rabbits and guinea pigs. In years gone by I've owned both. But as a word of caution to potential rabbit and guinea pig buyers: Both of these animals are high maintenance! And I'm not referring to money. They produce waste very rapidly! I'm not going to get more graphic than that but I hope you understand my meaning! I read the previous Yelp reviews and they are not very flattering! I can only report on my visit and I didn't see anything that would warrant a negative review! Based on what I saw and experienced today; I can and do recommend this place to the public!

I would give 0 stars if I could. They drugged my dog when I boarded him here for a few hours during…read morea home reno project & didn't tell me. I picked him up & he was insanely out of it, could barely keep his eyes open & I had to help him get into the car. If he was stressed/not handling boarding well they should have just called me & I would have picked him up & figured something else out. They had no idea what his medical history was (besides vaccine records) & medicated him without permission, I am insanely lucky that he was fine after whatever it was passed through his system, but they are going to kill a beloved pet doing this kind of bs. I love supporting local businesses, but this one needs to be shut down.

Place is good for some fish types. The bad smell is probably more from all the feeder rats breeding…read moreprogram they have way in the back left of the store. They have cats, hamsters, frogs, turtles, lizards, some birds, etc.. Should cut some slack to the owner, she's 90. She's got a couple of daughters that help run the place, and some other younger folks helping out. If they gave up on all the rats, the place may not smell so bad. She doesn't usually keep too many dogs at one time, a couple behind the counter, puppies. Not sure how many cats they keep in there. It's a small mom and pops place.

The manager shouldn't ever be around animals. A employee…read morestated the manager refuses to do more to help the animals, and won't even lower the price to let someone buy an almost dead pet. When we suggested how to help the animals more, the employee just stated the manager wouldn't listen. Pythons: had an empty tank with a single bowl of water, that's it. Poor thing was curled up in the bowl because it was the only way to stay cool with no house or anything to get shade. Crested geckos: NO humidity, all had their shed welded to them, 2 were unable to move, and have metabolic bone disease with underbites and curved spines from having no calcium or UVB. Also their food was dry, and not mixed with water like it's suppose to be so they're unable to eat. Leopard geckos: all their tails were shriveled or even fallen off, which means they have no nutrients and will die pretty soon. Gerbils: 10-15+ gerbils in a 10 gallon Tank, regulation is suppose to have 2 per 10 gallon. Hamsters: 5-10 hamsters in a 10 gallon tank. 1 per 10 gallon is regulation. Cats: the ENTIRE place smelled of cat pee due to the awful cat room, in wired things meant for Guinne pigs and stuff all kept together in small cages. I could go on and on. This place NEEDS to be shut down.
