This is a small shop selling mainly clocks and other German trinkets. They have a lot of…read moreinteresting clocks like grandfather's clocks and cuckoo clocks. They also have some home decorations that are between $10-$80. I saw a tray of mini beer steins that I wanted to get as a gift. Unlike most places, you do not touch anything there. You go up to the lady at the counter and request for it. She will bring it to the counter. For a shop like this, I was expecting that a request for the item to be wrapped up in a box would be normal. But no, they don't have boxes for some of their item. The lady did offer to go look for a suitable one in their store room but failed to find one that fits the item I purchased. I was also in a hurry so I said don't worry about the packing. Let's move on to paying for the item. They have a 10% of coupon for your next purchase if you purchase more than $50 for the month of September. She asked if I wanted to use it this time or next. Since I am here for short visit, I decided I would use it then. It took her forever to calculate how much my 10% cost. Seriously?? After a few minutes, I told her to forget about the discount. I just want to pay and leave. It took another 5 minutes for that whole transaction to be completed. I do appreciate their friendliness and the varieties of trinkets they carry. However, their service was poor and I highly expected a shop carrying fragile products to have a good supply of packing material.

Hearing all the little clocks chiming and watching all the different types of little figurines popping out is kind of mesmerizing. Lots of little trinkets to buy, also heaps of smaller versions of the cuckoo clocks, this would be a great place to buy a unique gift.
