I was looking for a barber shop in the area as we are currently in an RV resort Gulfport. Based on…read morereviews, I came in for a haircut. There was 1 barber in a large room with 3 or 4 chairs. I asked the price and the young man said $30. While that's higher than what I normally pay, I agreed. Upon sitting down in the chair, I asked him to take 1/2" off the back and sides and to leave the top alone unless he saw some straggling hairs. I also said that I have a cowlick that he should leave long so it stays down. He started using clippers, so I asked if he could do a scissor cut, but it was too late since he had already started using clippers, but said he would switch to scissors after evening it out. That made sense. I could not see what he was going on because there were no mirrors! I've never been to a barber/hair stylist that didn't have a large front facing mirror! As I looked around, I saw lots of stuff and debris scattered around, sand it was not a clean place. I was there for at least half an hour with lots of small talk. When it was all said and done, he took a small hand held mirror to show me his cut, and I was appalled at how much hair he cut off. He didn't do anything I asked for, but what could I say? It was too late for changes, and I just wanted to get out. Then he said he only took cash, which made me suspicious. I had exactly the right amount so I paid and left. I'd stay as far away as you can from this place!
