I googled "dock diving" and this page came up. I e-mailed and got an immediate response. It was very easy to make an appointment, cancel an appointment right on the page. It was an hour drive for me, but I really wanted to try it with my GSD pup. Marie, was so nice and helpful. She immediately made not only me, but my girl feel comfortable. She had lots of great advice and worked with both of us. I have since had my girl CGC certified by Marie, we have done Cat runs there. Marie is fantastic! She is a dog lover, and her experience and compassion are obvious when she is coaching your dog! As soon as I learned about dock diving, I wanted to get my dog involved; Marie was available and more than willing to coach us! I brought my dog to The Gated Dock when she was a little over a year old for a private lesson. The dock is fenced in, so although we still had a lot of recall training to do I was able to get involved immediately! I drive 90 minutes each way to have my dogs train with Marie. She really knows how to introduce them (and you) to the sport of dock diving. These are truly dog people! We have attended a basic training class, and an introduction to dock docking session. They met the needs of my goofy and ill mannered doodle. They worked with him and helped identify what we truly needed to work on.
