Our visit showed that despite some rough edges, there is definitely an audience for drive-in cinemas in Ireland. It's a very different cinema going experience, with a few pros and a few cons too. First off, it's a lot cheaper than the average cinema trip. €25 got us a couple's ticket, two drinks, two popcorn and some sweets. You can also have pizza delivered to your car from the nearby Four Star Pizza. They deliver in thirty minutes, and the ushers drop your delivery to your car. Also, since we recently got a pet dog, our little mutt was able to snooze in our laps while we watched the movie. The movies sound is transmitted to your car's radio (they give you the frequency when you go in). This is a little problematic, for the first few minutes of our showing, we could only barely hear the film. Overall, it can't quite match the experience of a well equipped auditorium, but don't write it off. All in all, this was a different type of cinema experience, one that we'll definitely be trying again soon!

Great selections of sweets, popcorn, nachos, etc! They also offer group, school, and corporate rates.

It was past 8.30pm before the thing even turned on, and then during the movie the colours stopped working on one side of the screen. After some more time they stopped the movie and we had to wait another 10 minutes before they finally fixed it. We were told to queue up at the end to get our refund but then we were not given a refund but rather told to email about it - I emailed and was told they would sent out a refund. Weeks later I have not received anything and they are not replying to my emails. Shockingly poor service.

Seats are cheaper early in the day and there are kids films on at the weekends. New releases get shown quickly enough and are retained for a decent time. I highly disagree with how the workers felt with the situation. First of all, they interrupted the whole movie. They said we needed to leave, and made everyone stare at us, it was very humiliating. They kicked us all out even though most of us, myself included, where not talking. I got my things together so I was behind the others, on my way out I heard the workers calling us horrible names. When I asked for my money back, (since I didn't do anything and I couldn't watch the movie,) they said I could not get one. I was and still am extremely upset.
