This barn is absolutely stunning, nestled off the road behind a forest. There are sliding barn doors on 3 sides so you can have an open air reception with a cross breeze if you desire, or all doors closed if that's your thing. There's plenty of seating inside, with several tables and chairs. To my understanding, the venue can rent out the tablecloths, serving platters, cake stands, lanterns, and just about anything else you need. In the back you'll find spaces for a dessert setup, full bar, multiple bathrooms, and a changing room for both the bride and groom. Outside is a beautiful wraparound patio, plenty of space for dancing, guest book signing and even food if you'd like. There's the cutest space down the stairs and by the lake for an on-site ceremony, with custom bench seating. This is a really nice event space, perfect for a wedding in the Spring, Summer or Fall. It's a little hike from Charlotte, but definitely worth it. Check out their story on their website. Such a dream!

I would highly recommend of having a wedding or fun event here at the Barn at Cedar Hill. The staff was great; they were positive, supportive, took care of the needs of the guests. It was my first wedding where they served Mexican food. It was delicious. The pull pork was great. Flavorful. Tasty. Guacamole was average. I also want to give a shoutout to the staff as they had activities to do for the kids that were present; soccer ball, football, bats, frisbee, etc. Overall, nice time at the venue.

Attached shows lack of communication days before the wedding Attached is also my day of coordinators email. EMAIL I sent him below: I wanted to reach out regarding several issues we experienced with your services at our wedding on 10/11. Unfortunately, the performance did not meet expectations or the agreed-upon standards, and I wanted to share the specific concerns for your awareness and resolution. Throughout the evening, the DJ repeatedly approached me -- the bride -- with questions and complaints, interrupting my time with family and guests. My coordinator was present and attempting to handle all communication, yet he continued to come to me directly instead of working through her as planned. When we were introduced as husband and wife, the DJ immediately began playing our first dance song without any pause or announcement, leaving no time for guests to be seated or for us to prepare. We had to begin dancing awkwardly right upon entry. During our dance, despite clear instructions in the app to "fade when necessary." I had to personally signal him to fade the song -- during my own first dance. The same issue occurred during the father-daughter AND mother-son dances. He announced the wrong sequence (calling for a "couple's dance" instead of the father-daughter dance) and again required direction from me to fade out the songs at appropriate times. ME THE BRIDE. Additionally, there were significant issues during cocktail hour. The DJ failed to make any announcements or guide guests, resulting in confusion as people began visiting the food truck while we were still taking photos. He also did not play background music consistently, and one of my bridesmaids had to ask him to start playing music while guests were eating. Overall, there was a complete lack of MC presence, coordination, and leadership throughout the evening. It felt as though he had never worked a wedding before, which unfortunately disrupted the flow of our event and created unnecessary stress. I'm bringing these concerns to your attention in hopes of finding a fair resolution. Please let me know how you'd like to proceed. Also attached is my wedding coordinators email that I sent to you in a text which you probably did not read because you were driving.

The portions were quite small as well. Maybe because all the prices have gone up since Covid, the sacrifice is also to serve smaller portions. It's not a place I would rush to first to entertain friends or treat them to dinner.

Bao Yeah offers not only bao but bowls and fried chicken as well. Their ordering (via tablet) is convenient, and they turn around orders quickly. I went with a three-piece bao, which allowed me to sample the two fried chicken varieties (K*Bomb with gochujang and Garlic Gang with soy black garlic) as well as the bulgogi. All of the bao were amply stuffed with meat and pickled vegetables and slathered with tasty sauce. The thick buns held everything in place, so eating was not too sloppy an endeavor. Everything delivered the expected flavors - sweet heat from the K*Bomb, a tangier note from the bulgogi - and the fried chicken boasted a thick, crunchy batter. It was quite tasty though the chicken was definitely a bit dry. At least the bulgogi was nice and tender. All told, Bao Yeah is a promising newish addition to the Triad food truck scene. It may not be the best Korean street food you've ever had, but you're in for a flavorful meal without a long wait.

AMAZING food and GREAT service! My go to is the Holy Kow bowl and the Korean Fried Chicken with the K bomb sauce. I tried the Holy Kow Bao today- so good! We got a bowl, 2 orders of the fried chicken and extra sides of the Kimchi, bulgogi and sauces to go (so I could attempt to make bowls at home for lunches this week). The leftovers reheat perfectly and do no disappoint. You cannot go wrong with anything on their menu! Now that I know how to locate them through their social media posts, I can find where they will be next and it's definitely worth a drive to get some of the best Korean food in the area!
