I called from across the country for her to make something unique for the funeral of a relative. When I explain that the deceased relative was an avid gardener, she knew exactly who he was by name and knew his family. Coincidence...maybe....Small town friendship...yes. But it was clear that she was also connected with her community. She jumped at the opportunity to make a unique arrangement that reflected my Uncles passion for gardening and even sent me pictures of the finished arrangement! Thank you Marcia!

Not only did she mess this up by giving the grandchildren both basket's, when we called her someone came over to fix the baskets and brought 4 carnations to try and fill in 2 very large arrangements. The arrangements looked pathetic!! And we told her that it should say Pap Pap. She put a hideous gold thing that said Papa?? Really?? Not good to mess up on a funeral!! Never ever recommend this florist!! On top of this we were charged a ridiculous price for her mess up!! Disgusting!!!

APPARENTLY TOO BUSY! My father and I have been working on a…read morehome improvement project. He is always hoping for a deal- and as luck would have it, two major items on our checklist were available at BB for a considerably lower price than other outlet. In BOTH situations my Dad called ahead to confirm the price, the product details AND if it was in stock. He was assured of all and we made our way over to the store. What transpired started off as a young sales guy trying his best to locate the two large boxes we needed. He was sure it would be 3-4 boxes. He roped in a slightly older, more seasoned sales gal. We stood and them pull up numbers and codes and jump around from display to the back room for a hood 20 minutes. During that time, I had jumped on my phone, gone to the general BB website, found the item, the packaging and the number of units. The total was 2. I tried to explain this to them, but by this point they had wrangled Larry (manager who had been on a break,) and another guy who seemed to busy to be troubled by our $500+ purchase. I had already noticed from the boxed supply on the floor that they did "indeed" - as they had confirmed over the phone- have the product ready to sell. They were happy to call a sister store over 45 minutes away and hold the products for us there. While my father continued on with The Marx Brothers mayhem, I called Home Depot. Gave them the skew and specifics and told them the price and predicament at BB. They matched the price and gave a $100 discount, plus held it with my name to come pick up the next morning. We left the Beaver feeling frustrated. Flashback to last Tuesday. They had a hot water heater on special through Tuesday. Again, my father called to ensure the deal and that it was in stock. All was confirmed. I arrived to a rather empty store- only two other parties there for pick up - and was greeted by a staff member. I told him my Dad had called in a spoken with Larry regarding the ad (I had the flyer with me and indicated the post.). A different team member behind me piped in "Yeah, Larry took that one,". I asked where the water heaters were In the store so I could make sure they actually had one, I was sent to the wrong aisle. A few minutes later I was standing there and saw a worker go by with a cart. I asked if he could help. It was Larry and he said that whatever I wanted to tell the cashier and they'd help. He went back to his cart and headed to the back room. I bought the bargain Hot Water Heater and left there vowing to never return. If you wish to feel ignored for a deal that had been confirmed before you showed up to an empty store full of busy employees wasting your time... make your way to The Busy Beaver! Horrible.

This used to be on my route home, so they became the source of supplies for my (terrifying, at…read moreleast to my mother) remodeling efforts. They carry a pretty normal array of construction supplies at great prices - they occasionally don't carry some of the more esoteric parts I end up needing, but 90% of the stuff you'll ever need they have on hand and cheap. Their lumber can be a bit of a roll of the dice (just like any big box store), but so can my attempts to carry it out of the store. They haven't sued me yet, for which I am extremely grateful. Quite a few of the staff know me on an almost first-name basis now, too, so I might not represent the average experience with service, but I've always found it to be friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra mile for their customers.
