The Game Shoppe in Corning is easily one of the best places I've played both D&D and Magic. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, making it easy to sit down and enjoy a game whether you're brand new or have been playing for years. The community is what really stands out--people are friendly, respectful, and genuinely want everyone at the table to have a good time. It's the kind of place where you can show up, join a game, and feel like you belong right away. They also have a great selection of products, and the value is honestly hard to beat. I've been to a lot of LGSs over the years, and The Game Shoppe stands out as the best hands down for a few key reasons. First, their pricing on sealed products is excellent, and they carry a huge selection of singles, which makes it easy to find what you need. The owners are often on-site, and they're both genuinely kind and very helpful. The rest of the staff are just as great! Welcoming, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. They also have a solid selection of snacks and drinks, which is a big plus for me. I usually bring my 8-year-old, and having those on hand definitely helps keep her engaged. There's also plenty of space to play, so it never feels cramped. At the end of the day, it really comes down to the people. We drive in from Elmira, so we're not local, but we've always felt welcomed not like outsiders at all. If you haven't been yet, it's absolutely worth checking out. read more

I go to The Game Shoppe every week at least once and i can confidently say that it is the best TCG/TTRPG gaming store I have ever been to. The employees are all friendly and the owners, Andrew and Kayla, are some of the nicest people I've met. The variety of products offered is amazing and there's something for everyone weather youre into MTG, Pokemon, YuGiOh, Weiß Schwarz or D&D as well as many others. The prices are always fair and singles go by listed prices on TCGplayer. If they dont have what youre looking for Andrew is usually willing to order it in for you if hes able to. The game shoppe is one of the few places I'm happy I've spent hundreds of dollars. Everyone there is so kind, be it the community, employees, or the store owners. They carry SO much, Pokémon, magic, one piece, even more I can't think of at the moment. No matter the day everyone has a funny joke, a cool pull, or a helping hand to help you build your deck! I couldn't imagine being a regular at a better place. Even the things as small as the toilet paper are amazing. If it's to go pick up a pack, play a game of magic, throw down with your party in the back, or an emergency bathroom break, take the time to stop by. Very friendly! The staff there is great, everyone is really welcoming and kind. They have a great selection of tcg's including Chinese and Japanese Pokemon cards! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Their prices are a little bit more than msrp but not outrageous like other spots, they definitely try and keep it affordable! A great place for TCG and Miniature gaming. Staff is always helpful and friendly. If they dont have something in stock, they will try to order it for you if possible. Prices are good and reasonable. Usually at MSRP or a bit lower. Open tables available for gaming for free and to just hang out with fellow nerds/hobbyists. One of the best game shops I've ever been to. read more

Go here a few times a month to check out Pokemon cards. Staff is always super friendly and a joy to talk too. Singles binders always have a good selection plus I love how they have the cards placed in binders by price tiers. Card prices and trades are always fair market value.
