This place is heaven for all you crafters out there! As Scotland's biggest bead shop, there is literally 100s of different kinds of beads, threads, findings, chains and charms in this place, not to mention a lot of pretty crystals and gems inside. I love that whenever I walk through the doors here I suddenly come up with about 50 things I want to make, and I can spend as long as I like perusing the beads with my headphones on (and poking my finger in everything... Yep, I'm one of those people!!)
It is a bit of a hidden gem, but you can find it just around the corner from The Cameo. It's independently owned and its much cheaper than Hobbycraft, so definitely worth supporting and visiting even just for a look :)
They have a huge variety of stock and they are mega chilled out in here which is great for those of us who take a little longer to make up our minds. Whenever I wear out a piece of jewellery, this is my first port of call on trying to fix it. The staff have a great knowledge on things, but I have been in and asked for advice a couple of times and they've said that what I've wanted to do is 'not possible'. Never one to take no for an answer, I picked out various findings and clasps myself both times and managed to do what I set out to, so I would say that although they are great at a lot of things, thinking outside the box on a problem is not one of their strongest points.... But don't let that phase you, you can achieve anything you set out to do and they are always worth consulting :) read more
