There is ample parking in front of the entrance. The business is managed by Rebecca Kline, a second generation framer and over-all art guru. Her parents are accomplished artists, creating art into their 90's. This is a no frills business. When you walk in you'll immediately see framing materials. All around. And art which has been dropped off for framing or ready to be picked up. There is a lot going on behind the front counter. All work is done on premises, and there are numerous workstations with a variety of equipment, all used to create frames from moldings and hundreds of matting materials. This is a real framing business. Nothing is sent out. This is the "out" where other businesses would have their work framed. Rebecca is knowledgable. Personable. Quiet. Passionate about her work. Committed to quality. And offers reasonable pricing. Anyone who has artwork framed will know that framing is very expensive. Actually, very very expensive. Atlantik is reasonable. For my Yelper friends who are committed to supporting local small businesses, this is the place to go. Open 6 days a week, just call ahead to make sure. As an aside, I purchased a John Twachtman piece at auction and it came in an old frame. We spent a lot of time discussing the authenticity of the frame, and while there was no doubt it was old, we had no way to determine if the frame was original to the piece, which would have given it significance. We decided to go with Rebecca's recommendation on frame and matting. I'll post a picture after the work is done. When taking the piece out of the frame we discovered that there was a sketch on the back of the board. While that side was unsigned, it still adds to the magic and uniqueness of this Twachtman work. It will be framed so that the back of the piece is also visible. Go here for your framing. I would not steer you wrong. You know I'm a straight shooter.
